Chapter 16 | Famous Director

Johann von Schiller is one of the greatest directors of the century. The work of the German national repeatedly won several prestigious world-class awards. The Hollywood production house has repeatedly offered the opportunity to work together, but Johann is not willing to accept it.

She is thirty years old and is single. Backed by her excellent looks and proud achievements, the girls always surround her wherever she is. The media called him a playboy, because he had been caught courting actresses who became the main cast of the film.

If you want to be honest, actually women are Johann muse in making a film work. He was looking for good talent across Europe, then offered them the lead role. There was never a first stunt double. He always made an offer just for someone special. Someone who draws his eyes and heart.

The first time he saw a phenomenal floor cleaning advertisement in Italy, Johann was immediately interested. After doing a more in-depth search of the films starring Carlotta, Johann was officially fascinated. The girl could play some kind of expression nicely. There is a sincerity that easily touches the hearts of the audience in his acting.

And can not be denied, Johann so want to know Carlotta Marinelli personally. Was that laughter on the glass screen his laughter in the real world? Or are all of her roles exactly the opposite of the actress's original personality?

Johann provided an invitation to dinner alone with Carlotta a few days before filming began. He had given Carlotta's contract to the girl's manager. However, he wanted to get acquainted directly.

Carlotta was brought in by his manager, Marco Bruni. Initially, Johann thought there was a special relationship between Carlotta and her manager. After seeing directly the man in girly clothes, the assumption was immediately extinct from Johann's mind.

And for some reason, he was so incredibly relieved.

"Welcome, Miss Marinelli. Thank you for taking your time." Johann stood up and pulled out a chair for Carlotta. Carlotta thanked me quietly, then sat down.

Johann was about to invite Marco to sit down as well, but the man hurriedly said, "Oh, no need, sir. I don't want to disturb. Carlotta, I'll wait for you downstairs."

They had dinner at La Pergola, one of Rome's most famous restaurants. It is located in one of the star hotels. The view is amazingly interesting from the top floor. La Pergola is also known as one of the fifty most romantic restaurants around the world.

"Want to order something?" Johann offers when Marco Bruni has disappeared from view.

It is not difficult to find a menu that is appetizing. The restaurant has not only one Michelin star, but three. This makes it in the top 10 best restaurants in the world. All the dishes must be delicious. Carlotta decided to try out her most popular menus.

"Ravioli Carbonara and La Pallottola." Carlotta announced the menu to be ordered.

Johann nodded, then ordered it for Carlotta.

Tonight Carlotta is wearing a Fitted Evening Dress, a long black dress from the latest issue of the fashion house Jovani. The simple intersecting dress actually accentuates the natural beauty of Carlotta, not impressed excessive. Looking closer like this, Carlotta was even more amazing in Johann's eyes.

"You just came to Rome, Mr von Schiller?" Carlotta took the initiative to start the conversation because he had seen Johann looking at him without blinking, making him a little uncomfortable.

Johann bertehem's. "really so. I'm supposed to come next week, on the first day of filming. However, I came straight here because I heard the news about you."

Carlotta was embarrassed. "Please don't think about it, Mr. von Schiller. It was just a misunderstanding. It will not affect the filmmaking process. I'm sorry for making such an uproar."

"Ah, it's okay. I'm glad to see you're not hurt." Johann said sincerely. Then, he whispered. "Then call me Johann. I wish we could be friends? Don't bother me."

Carlotta smile. "Of course we can be friends. But I can't possibly just call your first name on the set, right?"

Carlotta nodded. "I agree."

Johann offered Carlotta a glass of champagne. "Returning for a fun filming process."

Carlotta grimaces. "I'm sorry, Johann. Marco limited my alcohol consumption. And last week I partied with my sisters, celebrating this offer of your role. I've finished two bottles of champagne alone."

Johann laughed at Carlotta's confession. Apparently, the girl before him did not feel the need to bother maintaining the image. But, what does a beautiful girl from a good family like Carlotta need to hide? Secretly, Johann's heart was pounding hard. She had never felt anything like this with any other actress.

"Then, shall we toast with apple juice? Or do you want a non-alcoholic champagne message?" Johann offers.

Carlotta smile. "Apple juice is no problem. It looks like champagne."

Johann laughed again. Deftly, he poured apple juice in Carlotta's glass and his own glass. "Repeating for our future cooperation?"

Carlotta nodded. "Also, a toast to our health and success."

Johann raised his glass, agreeing with Carlotta's words completely.

Luca Lombardi dizzy seven circumference because of his master's latest command. Instead of mastering the business of competitors as usual, this time Alessandro asked to be involved in the process of making the latest Carlotta film. Lombardi has sent a letter requesting the sale of the company to the production house, Benito Studios.

Signor Benito refused. After an investigation, Lombardi found out that Signor Benito was the stepfather of Carlotta Marinelli. He immediately reported his failure along with the crucial information to Alessandro.

"It's fitting that his career can be at the top without the need to seduce the top of the film world." Said Alessandro while nodding. "I forgot the fact Carlotta's mother ran off with someone from the entertainment world."

Lombardi continued, "We can't go there at will because Signor Benito is the executive producer."

"Then give me a big sponsorship fund and make me a producer or production manager." Alessandro says.

"But, Signor, you don't have the qualifications in that respect" Lombardi did not continue his words as he was glared at by Alessandro. "I mean, I'll do it."

"Deliver any funds requested by Signor Benito. I don't give a shit. If you can, persuade him to give me his executive producer position. Just for this movie. Put pressure on him not to worry about me taking over his production house. My intention is only to help."

Luca Lombardi massaged his own forehead. "I'll try it, Signor."

Alessandro squinted. "You have to try until it works, Lombardi. I don't want to receive any more news of failure."

"Alright, Signor. But you better raise my pay after this." Lombardi immediately set foot from there before Alessandro could throw him with something.
