Revegenful Billionaire

Revegenful Billionaire
Chapter 7 | Resurrection Carlotta

Autumn is coming to an end and winter is lurking. Carlotta tightened her scarf and coat to fight the cold. This morning he had bought instant food for his two younger siblings, and decided to find work so that his younger siblings could get better food.

This time, her goal was her mother's new husband's office. For God's sake, he hated the middle-aged man who had destroyed his family. However, he knew that it was not the man who was the only one to blame for the dysfunctional marriage of his parents.

Abusive father. His mother got a better life offer. The man who treated her like a queen.

Carlotta hated her mother because she could leave her children in the hands of a man who loved no one but himself like his father. Carlotta begged many times for her mother to take herself away, but her mother was too cowardly at the time. The mother was worried about going up against their father in court. He left home with nothing. With what could he fight their father?

But now, things are different. Carlotta is a grown-up. He will not demand to be financed by his mother. At the very least, he could ask for help about work.

Any job that won't make his name is trampled on like last night.

Copier, maybe? Or a cable carger? Something simple, but it could prevent him from meeting his friends in the upper circles.

Benito Studios is located in Rome. He boarded the train from Verona Porta Nuova at 8 o'clock in 22 minutes and arrived at Roma Termini before noon.

"Ciao! I'm Carlotta Marinelli. Can I meet Signor Benito? Or my mom?" Carlotta tried to appear confident, even though her hands and feet were cold. His eyes were reddened by the dry wind along the way. The girl bit her lips so as not to look shaky.

"Miss Marinelli?" The receptionist at the studio looked very sad.

How could a young lady from a family as distinguished as Marinelli come alone? Without cars and guards. Very fishy.

Carlotta took out her identification card and handed it to the officer.

The beautiful woman who was the receptionist immediately checked the authenticity of Carlotta's identification, and was quite surprised to learn that the one standing before him was the real Carlotta.

"Sorry, Miss. Signor Benito and his wife don't live in Rome."

Carlotta was not surprised. His mother loved to travel. It is not impossible that her mother decided to stay as far away from her ex-husband as possible.

"Where do they live now?" The girl asked.

"New York."

Carlotta bit her lips harder. He was about to give up, but decided to turn around and try once more. "Can you connect me with my mother or her husband? I haven't called them in a long time."

It's been too long, never even, actually.

"Of course, Miss." The receptionist quickly dialed an international number. "Signor Benito? Miss Marinelli's coming to the office... Right, the biggest... The first daughter was Carlotta Marinelli. He wants to talk to you or his mother... Okay, Signor."

The receptionist in a flaming red uniform handed the phone handle to Carlotta. "Signor Benito will talk to you."

Carlotta accepts. "Ciao, Signor Benito. I'm Carlotta Marinelli. If it's not a hassle, I need your help."

Signor Benito offered him to be a cast member in one of the films he will be working on starting next month. Carlotta was afraid to accept it, but she could not accept money without working. And being an actress seems to be a good fit for her, according to Signor Benito.

With a face as beautiful as his mother, Signor Benito is sure, someday she can become a great actress. Opportunities like not coming twice. Carlotta had to admit that if she wasn't her mother's daughter, she would never even get this chance.

Within a month of preparing for his acting debut, Signor Benito arranged for a working-class apartment to be occupied by Carlotta.

This apartment was clearly much better than the small apartment he rented on the outskirts of Verona. Seeing the golden opportunity, Carlotta took her two younger siblings with her to the country's capital.

Ciara and Carina were very happy with their new residence. Signor Benito turned a studio apartment into a home for three girls. In the main room, Signor Benito ordered his employees to install a mezzanine. The top is occupied by two single beds for Ciara and Carina. Meanwhile, at the bottom, Signor Benito designed the room to be occupied by a single bed for Carlotta and a wardrobe for the three girls. In the mezanine-free room, there is a set of sofas and the latest television output. This apartment also has a balcony. There is a pair of patio chairs and a rattan table on the balcony. The three of them used it to drink tea in the afternoon while enjoying the sunset over Rome.

"Are you really going to be an actress, brother?" Ciara asked. "Why bother working if you're going to be Mrs Mancini someday?"

Carlotta laughs. He has been taking acting classes for a month, to explore the role he will play later. Actress is her life choice now. "I'm not going to be Mrs Mancini."

Ciara sighed sadly. "That's what I asked. Why did you break off your engagement to Roberto? He is a handsome, kind, intelligent student at one of the most prestigious universities in the world. What's her lack?"

Carlotta looked at Ciara suspiciously. "Don't you not like Roberto all this time?"

Ciara shrugged her shoulders indifferently. "I didn't say that."

Carlotta cringing. "But you always fight with him in anything."

Ciara began to take an uncomfortable look from her brother. "Well, fighting with him is fun."

"Don't tell me you have a crush"

"No!" Ciara answered quickly. Too soon. "I mean, this is all good." The girl pointed to their new apartment. "But it would be great if we stayed in the luxurious Mancini family home. Like our house!"

Carlotta embraced Ciara affectionately. "I'm sorry. We're doing this because of me."

"No, it's not your fault. It's Papa's fault." Ciara says.

Carlotta just smiled wryly in response. "Not think about it anymore. We'll be fine."

Ciara nodded. "Must!"

Carlotta ruffled her sister's golden hair proudly. "Contact first. Tomorrow you'll be at your new school."

"I like the new school. At the very least, there will be no one here to mock me."

Carlotta nodded. "I hope so too."

Ciara breezed back into the apartment, leaving Carlotta still enjoying the afternoon on the balcony.

"By the way," Ciara's voice sounded again from inside. "May I wear the bathtub? I miss soaking in hot water."

Carlotta laughs. "Yes, of course!"

And the girl earnestly wished the three of them would not be short of hot water again in her lifetime.
