Prison of Love
Hypocritical

43

My classmates are dominated by women. There were ten men, and there were seventeen women. It made me more interested to pay attention to the character of a male friend than a female.

I think women are easier to guess. They often cannot hide well their hearts. As he was angry, sad, disappointed, all of that could easily be known from his facial expression.

Since it was easier to guess, then I would rather pay attention to the facial expressions of men. I also always know when they show their true emotions even if only for a fraction of a second. Experts call it Micro Expression.

Facial expressions that only last very quickly, even only half a second, so it is very likely to be missed by most people. Micro-expression can be a sign of a feeling or emotion that someone is hiding.

Reading someone's facial expressions, especially micro-expressions, isn't just about uncovering secrets or discovering lies. More than that, reading the expressions of others can be done so that we are more empathetic to the emotional condition that is being experienced by the person.

Because of that ability, I feel more aware of almost all the characters of my friends. Although I was clearly fooled by Shinta before, but until now I did not change my belief that I knew them through the micro expressions that I caught from their eyes and mouth.

Shinta obviously went through it well because from the start I trusted her a lot. Yeah, I was off guard at the time. But through my ability, I can treat all my friends well through the micro expressions they show me.

Yeah, that was before. Before this incident it seemed to slap me, realizing that I was not a good observer. My arrogance was clearly outmatched by the fact that it was now like dancing mocking me in front of it. Maybe it's time to admit that I lost, that I didn't have the ability to see someone's micro expression.

Tell my classmates, who I always treat well, who I always rebuke wherever I meet him. When no friends asked her to speak, I pulled up my chair and talked to her. When he was the subject of Mala and her friends' jokes, I defended him.

Even when he was in a motorcycle accident, I moved my friends to visit him to the hospital. At first they refused, because Gilang rarely wanted to blend in and seemed to withdraw from the environment.

But recalling the glare in his eyes that always sparkled when I approached him made me feel sorry for him and believe that his life was very lonely, that he actually needed a friend.

Is this the real definition of the proverbial milk in reply to water toba?

Me and Nisa looked at each other, our eyes clearly shocked beyond measure. The fact that Gilang is the perpetrator we have been looking for, clearly makes us distrustful.

What wrong? Why does Gilang treat me like this?

The shocked expression mixed with anger produced a strange facial expression. My eyes rose and stiffened. Eyebrows also come up and merge simultaneously. My mouth was broken with success.

I really didn't think the culprit was Gilang. The one who I don't think would even hurt an ant.

The class atmosphere is getting crowded. Full of screaming and swearing. One of them is Alfian. He who had just been emotional, was now pointing at Gilang's face while shouting furiously, he said,

“Damn you, Lang!! I accuse others of not knowing the person is sitting next to my chair!! You wimps! How dare you chick!!”

Gilang smiled cynically, his eyes filled with anger, ”You do not know the actual facts so you bought the girl!!”

Hengky sighed, I knew he was holding back an outpouring of emotions at the moment. Roughly, he pulled out his phone, pressed the screen, then brought the phone to his ear, and then brought it closer,

“Om, please just go up to Hengky class yes. This is the guy already dapet.”

Hengky pulled Gilang's black hoodie hood, making his head and shoulders pulled back, too,

“I think you're smart enough to assess the situation you're in. If you create a fuss even harder, not only will our friends know, but the entire student body and everyone on campus. So, you want to choose me to take it quietly or you want to embarrass yourself more?”

Unknowingly I walked unsteadily to the front of the class, approached Gilang and tried to smile, “Hey, b-are we friends? We also often do group tasks together. I-I never even remember ever making the slightest mistake with you. Then why? Why do you have to?”

Gilang grinned, unexpectedly spitting at me, almost hitting me if Nisa did not immediately pull my hand away from her. The look in his eyes looked at me like I was disgusting trash.

Gillang chuckled, he pulled his body forward, approaching my face, “Munafik! Your kind of girl is the kind of girl I hate the most!!!”

Alfian shouted furiously. He kicked right in Gilang's stomach to make his body plummet back.

If Hengky did not immediately prevent Alfian, perhaps he had already trampled on Gilang's body by now.

“Hold your emotions! You want to be detained as a violent offender?!”

Alfian's breath was heard hunting. He cursed loudly while punching the air.

Hengky grabbed my shoulder and clapped it repeatedly. Without saying anything he tried to tell me to be calm at this moment.

The atmosphere of the class became increasingly boisterous when two tall and sturdy men came knocking on the door of the class. Upon entering, they immediately walked towards Hengky, listened to Hengky speak a few words then nodded quickly.

Roughly they rubbed Gilang's arm. Aware of being taken away soon, Gilang rebelled. He tried to pull his hand away, trying to let go of himself while shouting furiously.

Hengky grunt annoyed, “Oke. You gave me no other choice.”

As trained, Hengky opened his hands and quickly and accurately hit the vital point under both jaws simultaneously and, as well as,

BRUG!!

Gilang's body immediately fell.

I looked at Hengky in panic, as well as the other friends.

Nisa who was standing behind me screamed. He closed his mouth, his eyes widened, “D-he...m-ma-dead?”

While giving the code for the two men to carry Gilang's body, Hengky smiled, “Tenang. Sorry guys, I have no other choice. Taking him in a rebellious condition and shouting will obviously make us the center of attention.”

Hengky took my arm, invited me to go with the two men who carried Gilang's body, before leaving the class he said,

“You know the ITE Law, right? Anyone who spreads videos or photos about today's events, get ready to deal with the police.”
