56. Heart-set

Alex was speechless, trying to digest the words Chris had just heard. He looked at Chris flatly, "What are you saying?" tanyanya hinted her best friend to repeat his words.

"Chelsa attempted suicide in front of your father. Now he's in the hospital." Chris repeated his words exactly as before.

Hani looked at Alex and Chris alternately. He was shocked to hear Chris. He did not expect that a woman as beautiful as Chelsa could do such a crazy thing. She doesn't know what makes her reckless like that, but Hani believes Chelsa's problem is a complicated one.

"Let's go." Alex looks resolute with hardened jaws and furrowed brows.

"Where?" ask Chris and Hani at the same time.

Alex looked at Hani and smiled sweetly, "I'll take you home first, honey."

"Where are you going? To the hospital? I'm coming, " said Hani.

Alex shook his head while gently rubbing Hani's head, "No, honey. I'm going to go see Dad. I have something to talk to him about. You just go home and get some rest, I'll call you later."

With a heavy heart, Hani finally complied and relented. He could see Alex's exhausted-looking face and he was unwilling to add to the man's burden anymore. "alright. Don't push yourself, Alex. You also need rest" Hani's message Alex answered with a nod of his head and a sweet smile as usual.

"I thought you were going to see Chelsa in the hospital" Chris said, focusing on driving. He could see Alex thinking hard and looking doubtful at the same time.

Now they're on their way to Alex's family home. After escorting Hani safely, they immediately drove to the place where Alex's father was. Alex wanted to say something to his father and he also wanted to affirm something that he had been alone with. He was really tired and he wanted to end it right now.

It didn't take long, they finally arrived at Alex's family residence. There they were immediately greeted by friendly servants who worked there. Without further ado, Alex and Chris go in search of her father's whereabouts. As expected, his father was there, sitting casually at his desk as usual.

Chris chose to wait outside Alex's father's workroom because it felt like it was too privacy while Alex went straight in after lowering his head, a sign of respect.

"What do you want until you get here?" ask dad in a flat tone. The old man continued to read the book he had in his hand.

"Dad must know the meaning of my arrival this time," said Alex firmly. He approached his father.

"About you going to Paris without my permission or about Chelsa?" Dad took off his glasses and put his book on the table.

Alex smiled in anguish. He did not know how his father could know about his departure to Paris. But that was not something he wanted to talk about right now. To hell with his father would scold him for leaving without permission, he really didn't care. What he wanted to solve now was his problem with Chelsa because he was fed up with dealing with that crazy woman.

"I want to talk about Chelsa" Alex said, sitting on the couch in the room, followed by the father who joined her, "I don't want to deal with her anymore, Dad."

"How come? You're in charge of him. I think he's crazy for loving you so much" Dad said.

"Then you want me to solve all his problems, do you?"

Alex shook his head, "Let him be, Dad. After all, his family had long thrown him away and did not consider him anymore. Whatever he wants to do."

"What if he ends his life? Just now he dared to slice his hand in front of Dad and then threatened Dad if he would continue to disturb our family if you don't marry him," said Dad no less seriously. Honestly, he was tired of every problem Chelsa did. Every woman is acting, so her family is always affected.

"What do we care about, Dad? Even we have been patient enough to face all the problems made. I don't want to deal with him anymore, Dad. I want to live my life quietly without any more distractions. I hope you understand what I want," Alex asked twinkling with a twinkle of an eye begging his father.

"alright. It's up to you, Alex. But I just heard she's conscious after fainting from blood loss. Don't you want to see her?" ask dad.

Alex shook his head, "No. I really don't want to see him as much as I can, Dad."

Dad took a long breath. He understood his son's anxiety. If it wasn't for her past actions and forcing Alex to follow her planned matchmaking, perhaps her son wouldn't have suffered from mental problems. As a father he felt like he had failed to make his only son happy. "How are you doing? Are you all right?"

Alex understood what his father's question meant that was certain about his anxiety disorder. "I'm better, Dad. I have to tell my personal psychiatrist if my situation has improved lately" he replied with a sweet smile.

"Thank God," said the father, happy. He had not long since seen his son smashed as sweet as that. He was happy with the happiness of his only son.

"And again Dad, I want to speed up my marriage with Hani," he again looks serious, "just close marriage Dad, no need to invite many people."

Father smiled slightly, "It seems you love her so much that you can't wait to marry her. It turns out my son is already a grown man now."

Alex laughed at his father's words. "How's Dad, don't you want to have a grandson soon. I can give my grandchildren to you as soon as possible," she said, which made me laugh.

"alright. I can't wait to have a grandchild. Let's wait for your mom to come home, and we'll talk about it again. It's a secret, but your mother really likes Hani, she said your future wife looks like a good woman and she likes you to marry a woman like her" he said.

"Indeed, I've never wrongly brought a woman to be introduced to Mom and Dad" Alex said proudly.

"If you had brought a strange woman, I would have kicked you out. Don't forget that you're a bad guy who likes to play women before meeting Hani," pussy father in a mocking tone.

"Well, don't let Hani know that" he said, making the two laugh again.

It's been almost a month, I haven't updated this story. Not for no reason I did not update but yesterday starting on June 9th and suddenly my account to log-out and the time to log-in, I forgot yesterday what to use list, what, after trying one at a time from Facebook, E-mail, etc, none of it worked. Well, just two days ago after re-login continues with all the e-mails I had, finally one of them can and this is why I can update today. Hope you guys like it.
