Perfect Husband's

Perfect Husband's
43. Sweet Love

Irene stared at the ring that was coiling on her ring finger. Only this time did he not smile when he saw that beautiful thing. His mind was fixed on the words of Chelsa who continued to haunt him. She really believed what the beautiful model said because it made sense. As a man who was born into a family of wealthy businessmen and has known Alex for a long time, Chelsa is a trustworthy person. Moreover, people like Irene who have never been in contact with the business world like Alex and Chelsa certainly can not speculate for themselves about how to actually be born in a business family.

Irene and Alex were like heaven and earth. Alex comes from a rich family with a high education as well, so there is no need to bother thinking about money for his needs while Irene is just a yatin child who comes from a simple family. His mother was the owner of a small flower shop in Paris and his father had long since died. For education, graduated as a bachelor of communication science only Irene and her mother had to do everything until finally she could become like a presenter on a national television station.

His pair of blue eyes again glanced at his mobile phone vibrating on the table. Alex called her 26 times and Irene never answered. His heart and mind were still at odds, trying to find one answer that the two could accept.

**Alex: Are you okay, Babe?

A message from Alex made Irene shake a little.

Sorry, Alex. I'm not okay, her heart.

Alex let out a long sigh as Irene did not also answer her call and also replied to her message. He felt that something was wrong since their meeting at the restaurant earlier. Had he made a mistake on the girl, Alex really didn't know. Even if asked if he knew what his mistake was, Alex would quickly answer 'no'.

The new clock was 04:00 in the afternoon and she had already returned to her apartment because she did not know what to do. Because of boredom, Alex chose to relax on his couch while enjoying action movies on his television screen.

Not long after the sound of his apartment bell. Alex rushes to his feet because he thinks it's Irene, and the woman may surprise him by coming to his apartment. Alex quickly opened the door without seeing who was coming.

"Welcome, Ba—"

Not finished Alex said the sentence, his lips immediately twisted and tightly closed when he saw who was in front of him. His eyes were perfectly rounded, unsure and trusting of what he now saw. Is he dreaming right now or is he hallucinating over-thinking things lately. But it felt like what he saw now was too real to be considered just a hallucination. Until the voice of the man managed to realize Alex that it was not his hallucination, but real.

"Didn't you take me inside your apartment? Are you with your girlfriend inside?" said the old man with a heavy voice full of dignity.

"D-dad?" Alex was stammered, still unable to believe what he saw.

Dad raised an eyebrow, "Why do you see me like I'm seeing a ghost?" he said he went into his son's apartment.

Alex shook his head and closed the door and followed his father, who was researching every apartment.

"Why did you come here?" ask Alex.

His father looked at him in wonder, "What strange is it that a father comes to see his son who has not returned home for a long time?"

Alex was silent, not knowing what to answer. His father continued to explore each side of his apartment, as if looking for something there. Until finally the steps of the man with a firm face line was stopped in front of the study table as well as Alex's work desk. His hand grabbed a picture frame that showed Alex embracing a woman who was none other than Irene.

"Is this your girlfriend?" ask dad while glancing at the photo and Alex turns.

Alex nodded slightly, "Yes, Dad. I want to introduce him to Dad as soon as possible. It turns out that you've been here."

"How long have you been together? Are you planning on marrying her?" ask me again while putting the photo back in its original place.

Dad's eyes were staring at Alex flat. As if they are not interested in what they are talking about. "Alright, but you need to quickly end the relationship with her."

Alex's forehead spontaneously shriveled, not understanding his father's intentions. "What do you mean, Dad?"

Dad looked at Alex flatly, "You'll be betrothed. That's why end your relationship with that woman."

"What's? Matchmade? Don't joke, Dad." Alex approached his father, who was sitting on the couch. "Are you serious?"

"Did you look like you were joking? Why are you so surprised when matchmaking is common in our family. And you're the only son, and then you should be ready to be betrothed to another businessman's son who can grow our company" Dad said. It was clear in my father's face that he did not receive any rebuttal.

"How come, Dad? I just proposed to her and how could I end it? I love her, Dad," Alex insisted with her wish, "I don't want to part with her, Dad. I really love him," she said.

"No, Alex. You should leave him. Don't make me step in to keep that woman away from you. Finish yourself well or you'll force him away from you" he said. His jaw hardened when he said that.

Alex ruffled her hair in frustration. He wanted to go against his father's will but his mentality was already formed to never reject his father's wishes. Wouldn't it be crazy if you decided on the lover you just applied for. Really, that's the craziest thing Alex ever imagined right now.

Alex looked at his father coldly, "Then who am I going to be betrothed to?"

"Chelsa."

The slender jemari played her wine title with a mind that somehow drifted to nowhere. He was thinking of many plans in his mind and one could not guess what the beautiful girl was thinking now.

"What should I do Miss Chelsa?" asked the burly man in a black suit.

The woman woke up from her daydream and looked at the big man in front of her, "I want you to follow this woman," she said as she offered the man a photo, "you can just report to me what he's doing and be with whoever he is all the time."

The man glanced at the photo at a glance and refocused on his boss, "You want me to what about him? Spying from afar or what?"

"Pretty watch him from afar. Don't let him realize you exist, especially when he's with Alex. You know if Alex knows you and don't let the guy know your actions" Chelsa said, then sipped on the wine again.

"How long have you wanted me to spy on him?"

Chelsa was silent for a moment while thinking, "Until I manage to separate him from Alex," he muttered.

"All right, I'll do it."
