68. Divorce Me!

It's been a week since Darren and Feli went on holiday in Canada. Darren deliberately takes Feli away temporarily from the thieves in his house, before he will make calculations with the robbers.

He deliberately refused the arrival of Mommy and Daddy to be alone to spend time with Feli. Every way and effort he made to be able to see the sweet smile on Feli's face. But let alone a smile, Feli even looks reluctant even just to open his voice.

One week did not change Feli. He remains in his silence. Just a grim face and a blank look he showed. It was as if there was no passion to live anymore. His eyes were puffed with tears, making Darren who saw him feel beaten. He really doesn't know what else to do.

Darren sees Feli standing in front of the window, looking at the beautiful lake Loise, and that's all he did for a week there. If he was tired of standing up then he would prefer to sleep, even just to eat, Darren would have to remind him and feed him. Feli really looks like an undead.

Feli twisted his body, looking at Darren with a gaze laden with wounds.

Darren frowned confusedly, he did not understand what Feli was asking.

Yeah, he heard when Darren and his Grandma were talking about it. Feli actually fell in the deepest valley called destruction. She will never be a mother, she will never be a perfect woman, and she is completely a failure to be a wife to Darren. Darren is the only successor who is expected to be able to provide offspring for generation Maxston. Now how can he fulfill all of that.

"Feli.." erang Darren was full of regrets. He didn't expect Feli to find out so soon. Let Feli endure his silence, he is fragile helpless. He felt he had no meaning anymore.

It's not enough for me to be Feli, because believe me all I need is you Feli, for me a child is just a bonus for us. Of course I would be very grateful if we were given a child, but if fate says otherwise I can only resign, because for me your presence is already a gift."

"Are you being funny right now, Maxston!" cynical Feli.

"Then do you think I care about all that?!" darren's emotions began to be provoked. Come on, he's also been tired of Feli's silence for a few weeks.

"I've said, only you're enough for me. Can't you believe it" her voice softened. It was never in his mind to yell at his wife. And that was the first time he raised his voice to Feli, this one week was quite draining his energy and emotions. Feli who cries every night after a miscarriage makes him have to wake up in a few weeks.

"I don't need anything and whoever it is as long as you're by my side, Feli."

"As for Darren, humans are very greedy and men are very selfish creatures. You said it was enough just me for you, but you forgot Darren, I knew how much you wanted to have a child, and now you're asking me to trust you? no Darren, no."

Darren was silent for a moment, looking at his wife's angry face. He knew Feli's ability to make him more sensitive, but Feli's words still hurt him. Felix doesn't know himself. Was it so bad in Feli's eyes. Hadn't Feli been able to feel how much love Darren had given him, then why Feli said like that as if doubting Darren's loyalty.

"You hurt me, baby"

"You know me, you spent most of your life with me. We grew up together, what else do you doubt. Or you haven't known me enough all this time, Feli."

"Humans must have changed, Darren"

"If anything changes between the two of us, it's not me, Feli, but you."

"Yes, but circumstances forced me, Darren"

"Then from that, divorce me!"

Like lightning in broad daylight, that sentence was able to make Darren's body tense up instantly. His chest up and down showed that his breath was hunting. That curse sentence Darren never imagined would be that easy coming out of his wife's mouth. He looked at Feli, looked at the face to find out if he meant what he said, but all Darren could see was a cold face without expression.

Darren took a deep breath, trying to get as much oxygen into his nasal cavity as possible, in hopes of neutralizing his feelings that seemed to have started to flare up. Wanting Darren to shout and curse, fortunately sanity still accompanies him, he did not want to make the woman before him afraid of his wrath.

"What did you just say, Feli" Darren asked in a cold voice.

"I want us to get divorced!!" Feli repeated the curse sentence out loud and straightforward. As Darren's jaw hardened, he stared at Feli sharply.

"You really make me angry" he said coldly and then left Feli, not forgetting to slam the door with all his strength which made Feli jump in shock.
