36. The Fear of Sia-Sia

Darren and his family spent dinner without Feli. Feli reasoned that he was not feeling well.

Feli who was curled up inside his room was busy with his thoughts. Until when does it continue like this. Really Feli made a dilemma.

The badge reads an incoming message. Feli took his phone. He frowned her. Number not known

otherwise I'll meet your lover and unlock the rottenness of your family.

Feli bit her lips. He felt nervousness. He believes Noura sent him the message. In his nervousness, the door of his room opened. He looks. Darren stood there with a tray filled with food. Seeing Darren's face immediately her heart warmed. Her nervousness just evaporated.

"You missed your dinner" Darren walked slowly. He sat in front of Feli. Put a tray on his lap and then touch Feli's forehead with the back of his hand to measure Feli's body temperature.

"Say Aaaa." said Darren. Feli according. Darren feeds his food. He feeds Felie in silence. There was no conversation until the food ran out.

"You can't hurt Feli" Darren cleans Feli's lips with his thumb.

"Tell me what's bothering you" One hand held Feli's hand and the other rubbed Feli's pretty face.

Feli shook his head then immediately hugged Darren. Darren smiles. He returned the girl's embrace. Rubbing her back and hair gently. Calming Feli was his forte.

"Darren" said Feli

"Yes dear"

"I love you"

"And you know I love you more"

"really"

"You can feel it" Darren kissed his head.

"Can you promise me one thing" Feli said

"Anything that is. Just don't ask me to leave you"

As Feli's tears spilled, Feli shook his head in Darren's arms

"Never leave even if I ask you to leave" he sobbed.

"Hey baby, you're crying" Darren let go of his embrace. Raising Feli's face. Darren felt a tightness in his chest looking at the tears on Feli's face. He wondered in his heart what made the girl cry.

"I don't like this kind of Feli" Darren brought his face closer to smelling Feli's eyes wet with tears.

"Asin" he muttered which Feli could still hear. Feli chuckles

"Who told you to lick my tears" whined Feli.

"I'm thirsty" he replied lightly which made Feli hit Darren's chest.

"It's quiet?" ask Darren. Feli smiled and nodded. Darren breathed a sigh of relief.

"Then tell me what's bothering you?" Darren raised Feli's hand and then he put it on his face.

"Don't now" replied Feli quietly. Darren nodded.

"So what's the reason you want to get back to your job?" Darren kissed Feli's hand

"I'm bored"

"Can't I ban it?"

Feli shook his head

"alright. Do as you wish" Feli looked at Darren in disbelief.

"You agreed?" Felix ensured.

"You said I couldn't ban it"

"There is no choice but to follow your will" he said softly

"Don't be sad anymore" he continued later. Feli nodded.

"Thank you Darren, I really love you" Feli flooded Darren with a long-winded kiss.

"Let's take a break. Tomorrow you'll start your busy day" Darren lays Feli's body on the bed and covers her.

"You're gonna sleep here?" asked Feli hesitatingly

"You don't want it?" Darren answered with a question.

"I miss him" he answered honestly. Darren smiled

"I couldn't even sleep well these few days because I couldn't hug you. You know hugging you is more comfortable than hugging me with my roll" Darren climbed into the bed and pulled Feli closer to him.

"You liken me to a bolster" Feli protested.

"Goodnight love" Darren kissed Feli's forehead ignoring his protest.

"Sucks" grumbled Feli.

It didn't take long for Feli to fall asleep in Darren's arms. The sound of Feli's breathing sounded regular. Darren immediately shifted Feli's body slowly. He got out of bed and looked for Feli's phone. He immediately checked Feli's phone as soon as Feli's phone was in his grasp.

"It turns out the snake woman had already run the action"

Darren took a deep breath then he looked at Feli's slumbering face

"It's what's bothering you. Your fear is in vain, dear. Because there's not a single reason that can make me leave you" Darren kissed Feli on the forehead and then went back up in the basket. Tomorrow he will meet the snake woman before she meets Feli.

The next morning Feli woke up without Darren by her side. He glanced at his clock. Maybe Darren's getting ready to go to work. Feli immediately got out of his bed and headed straight for the bathroom. Wash your face and brush your teeth. He then went downstairs to greet his family as usual.

Feli frowned when he did not find Darren there. He looked to the right and left to find the existence of the lover of the heart.

"It looks like it's a woman's call" whispered Mike in Feli's ear as soon as Feli sat down. Feli glared sharply at Mike as if saying I killed you

"I heard it" Not caring about Feli's killing gaze.

"Your position is not safe Feli" Mike increasingly aggressively provoked Feli.

"Mike.don't tease your brother" Felix said. Feli turned to look at his Daddy fixedly. Seeing Feli's very intense gaze on him Felix became misbehaved.

"Dad.." call Feli still by staring at Daddy

" Yes honey"

"You know I love you so much"

Mika stopped her steps who wanted to take something in the kitchen. She chose to sit back near her husband. What's with the statement of love in the morning.

Felix looked at his wife as if he felt the same confusion as his wife.

"Of course little girl. And you know Daddy loves you a lot too"

"Dad.is there a special reason you raised Darren?"

Felix and Mika looked at each other. Felix swallowed his saliva with great difficulty. Fear attacked. Maybe Feli already knows. But there's no way Darren would have told her. What happened to that question? Felix fought in his heart.

"There's no reason for Feli. Daddy really loves him and your Mommy" Felix said to Mika

"As you can see, sometimes Darren sucks but still he's very easy to love" Felix said, chuckling.

"Dad, do you think secrets should be hidden"

Felix's question really makes Mika and Felix confused. I want him to ask if Feli knows his past. But what if Feli does not know it yet, it will not make his children confused and ask the past what he meant. Felix took a deep breath.

"His name is a secret of course to be kept dear" hearing Daddy's answer there is a sense of disappointment in him.

"But if the secret weighs on you and haunts you, you should not have to keep it" continued Felix, who made a smile engraved on the face of Feli

"Sometimes we're afraid to reveal the secret it's not because we're cowards it's just that we're not ready to be hated"

"Isn't that Dad's coward too?" Mike chimed

"Not son, but greedy" Felix looked at Mike and Feli alternately.

"A coward if you give hope to someone without intending to repay them. While greedy you want to even demand to receive more than what you have given. You cover up your mistakes with your love and affection in the hope that he will reciprocate the same. That way there would be no reason for him to hate you"

"Daddy hope Daddy's kids aren't like that" Felix smiled bitterly.

"What about you Dad?" asked Felix who made Felix smile again

"I've done both" Felix took a deep breath. There was a disappointed tone in his voice. Mika rubbed her husband's arm. He knows his husband's feelings.

"Be brave" Felix looked at Feli

"I wish you were Dad too" Feli murmured. Felix frowned.

"Dad, you know I love Darren so much" he said. Felix nodded

"But if told to choose between you and Darren. I will still choose you. Because I love you more"

Felix smiled haru

"But I love you more, baby. I'm not going to let you and Darren in a position to vote" he said.

"You know something?" the question finally came out of Felix's mouth

"What should I know about Dad? but what makes me wonder is why you chose to take care of Darren, it's me and Mike. You have no shortage of children at all. Is that some kind of responsibility or return? You didn't even forbid me from having a relationship with him"

"Felicia.." reprimanded Mika half-snaps.

Felix chuckled and then shook his head

"You cheated, baby. Daddy asked first. You should've answered instead of bombarding Daddy with your questions"

"Feli.." call Felix..Feli looked up

"If in the end you and Darren are a match. It is destiny, baby. So Daddy hopes this is the last time you question the reason Daddy took care of Darren. Trust me baby it hurt Daddy and Mommy. You seem to doubt our sincerity. Your question is that Daddy really doesn't have the answer. Same thing if Daddy asks you why you chose Darren. Maybe your answer is because you love her. Then what's the reason you love her? Daddy's sure you won't have an answer and a reason for it. Because your feelings are moved by your heart not your mind. Everything that is moved by your heart will have no logical reason to do so, dear" Felix said at length before stepping out of his chair. He kissed his wife's forehead and walked over to Feli. He held both of his daughters shoulders. Then kissed his daughter's forehead.

"Darren and Daddy may have a story you and Mike don't know. But trust me Daddy and Darren can finish it. Darren won't leave you just because of Daddy's fault"

"Dad's.." Felix surprised. Felix smiled warmly

"Daddy is too late. Come on Mike" Felix looked at Mike who had been listening more. Mike got out of his chair and walked over to Mommy and kissed her.

"Your mom will explain" Felix peeped his daughter in the forehead and left with Mike.

"So the reason you've been quieter for a few days is because you know your Daddy's past" Mika sat next to Feli. Feli nodded

"How did you know that?

"Without purposely meeting Aunty Noura Mom"

Mika took a deep breath. How could the woman not be aware of it. That's Mika's mind

"You should ask, baby, not lock yourself up for days. You're making everyone worry"

"I'm sorry. I'm scared Mom. The fear of hating Daddy and the fear of being hated by Darren" I'm honest.

"And your fear is in vain dear" Mommy's remark was taken by Mika. He regretted his actions that had silenced Darren.

"So Darren really knows Mom?" Feli needs to make sure.

"He's known about it for a long time. Before Daddy was honest with him, Darren knew it. Mommy really didn't think she could hold it all. She was really very wise" Mika smiled proudly.

"She's my lover's mom" Feli announced as if her Mommy doesn't know

"Don't praise her too much" Feli puffed up her cheeks which made her Mommy laugh

"I can be jealous" continued Feli
