64. Daddy Felix's

"Morning sunshine" Darren's warm smile and loving gaze welcomed Feli's morning.

"Morning, honey" Feli answered still with a distinctive hoarse voice of waking up.

"I'm bad luck again, I'm sorry"

"But why didn't you wake me up, that way I could prepare your clothes" Feli blushed his lips between annoyance and regret.

"You look so slick, I'm heartless and this Feli is just a sweetie's outfit, I can take care of it myself, except for something else I can't handle for sure I'll ask you"

"Tell me something else you can't handle, I'll prepare for it"

Darren chuckled, then walked towards Feli, sat on the bed and faced Feli.

"Close, I'll whisper it" Darren's orders were immediately taken by Feli.

"The other thing I can't handle is the thing we do every night, baby"

"Running my fighter" Darren bit Darren's ear slowly and the next second Feli pushed Darren's body away from him.

"Go get you perverted!" shouted Feli with a blushing face.

"Be careful, I've prepared warm water. I'll wait for you and we'll go down together" Darren scrambled Feli's hair.

"Darren why you're so sweet, I don't know what I would be without you, promise me you'll never change. My life is so beautiful even compared to the story of the princess in a fairy tale even though mommy always read to us. I fear this happiness is only temporary. You know I'm lacking a lot, while you're too perfect" clearly frightened in Feli's tone and countenance. Feli is well aware of his shortcomings. From the very beginning since he had known Darren, Darren had always succumbed to him. Darren always puts his interests first and Darren always does more for him. Darren never complained or disputed everything but still Feli was worried given how many shortcomings as a wife. Even just to prepare clothes for Darren he always woke up bad luck.

"Hey baby, what's wrong with you? Why are you suddenly like this, hmm?" Darren smiled warmly as he gently stroked Feli's hair. He realized Feli's changing attitude and other sensitive feelings were innately pregnant.

"You are the center of my life and how could I leave you. I did everything to make you comfortable and live happily with me. If you're happy that's enough for me, Feli. So I'm asking you to stop thinking about this weird thing in your little brain because even if you ask me to leave you know I'll never leave" Darren paused for a second, took a breather and paused.

"Now you're taking a shower, maybe someone else is waiting for us downstairs or I need to bathe you again?"

"Then we'll skip breakfast and end up with a smack down event in the bathroom" Feli replied which made Darren chuckle.

"And you know I wouldn't mind, baby."

"Have you done what I told you to do, Luc?" Darren looked at Lucas, his best friend who was also a confidant.

"What do you mean investigate Bernard Lincoln's background?"

Darren nodded

"Hmmm, from what I've been investigating, Bernard Lincoln had to deal with the police several times. Not only embezzling company money, robbing, he also did not hesitate to kill people who blocked his way to get what he wanted. Bernard's a very greedy man and you need to know Darren, from the information I've got Bernard was even the chairman of one of the gang mafias" Lucas paused, looking at Darren to see the reaction to his words. Darren's face looked flat as if it was unaffected by his words. Darren linked his hands together propping his chin on it, waiting for Lucas to finish his speech.

"Ckckk.why do you look relaxed" Lucas clucked in annoyance.

"Is that all the information you get?"

"The information I've got is also enough to show that the person you're dealing with right now isn't a random person, man" Lucas pressed his words to let Darren know that a Bernard was a pretty horrible person.

"Didn't you find any connection between the wild rats that nest in Maxston's residence and oh my God, I really can't believe this, how could Aunty Laura marry such a man."

"All his crimes are unknown to Mrs. Laura. He had completely deceived Ms. Laura with his mask and yes all his crimes had been exterminated from all media. Can you imagine what that would be like."

Darren just aimed his shoulders indifferently as if he didn't care.

"Alright Luc, you've been working hard. Thank you and keep a close eye on the old man" Darren ended their conversation. Lucas nodded and left.

After Lucas left, Darren immediately took his phone, dialed the number of someone he missed so much. His role in life.

"Did you miss me so much, son?" I heard the answer from across the phone. Darren's smile expands on his face as soon as he hears his Daddy_ voice, Felix O'Neil McKenzi.

"Yes, Dad"

"How are you, Mommy and my sister, Dad?"

"I'll be back soon, Dad"

"You mentioned my daughter's name, how's it going?"

"I was next to him, of course he's fine, Dad"

Felix nodded his head even though Darren didn't see it.

"Then tell me what the hell did you call your Daddy?"

"Of course it's because I miss you so much."

"Stop feeling stale, young man."

"I'm not young anymore, Dad. I'll soon be a Daddy too"

"Oh my goodness, I forgot about it, you got my daughter pregnant and told me how my granddaughter is doing?"

"Your granddaughter's fine, too, Dad, she's developing really well inside your daughter's sexy belly."

"Dad.." call Darren.

"Hmm..I'm listening to you, son?"

"Is Bernard Lincoln so terrible?"

Felix was silent for a moment, all he could hear was their breath.

"Dad.." Darren called his Daddy. There was no answer but Darren knew his Daddy_ was still listening to him and waiting for him to continue.

"Am I capable of dealing with it, Dad?"

"You have to be able to Darren, not just Feli you have to protect but the rest of Maxston's family. But son, Bernard is a formidable opponent. He's very famous in the black world."

"It turns out that Lucas was right, Bernard wasn't a random person" Darren muttered that Felix could feel some anxiety in the tone of his son's voice.

"Oh, come on son, you were raised by a McKenzie, don't make Dad ashamed to hear the fear in your voice, do Daddy need to intervene to help you" Felix chuckled deliberately to relieve the tension in Darren.

"Daddy was wondering why your Aunt could marry that guy. From the rumors Daddy heard he was married but his wife was very young, and you know his wife is his weakness. So I suspect he has another wife besides your Aunty."

A young wife? could his wife be one of the two wild rats in Maxston's residence? Darren.

"Daddy ever see that rumored wife?"

"It's a pity Daddy never saw it."

"Okay Dad, say hello to Mommy and Mike

"Tell Feli we miss him and we love him"

"I love you too, Dad"

Felix chuckled at the confession of love from his son.

"It looks like your mood is very bad"

"Trust me Dad lately my feelings have been unpleasant and erratic. I feel like something's gonna get taken away from me, tell me what to do, Dad?"

"Daddy trusts you, son. Daddy's sure you can handle everything. All you have to do is believe in yourself, no matter what happens, no one will blame you, because Daddy knows you must have tried your best. Quickly finish the business there and hurry back."

"Thanks Dad, I really miss you a lot."
