41. Long Sleep

God.return Feli to me. Pinta Darren was compassionate and pleaded with God the owner of life who was able to reverse the destiny of human life.

Darren hopes the magic exists as in the bedtime story that his regular Mommy reads every night before he and Feli go to sleep. For the first time in his life Darren hopes to live in a fairyland. The sleeping princess who woke up after getting a kiss from the prince. The reality backlashed him because Feli did not wake up even after Darren kissed him repeatedly.

Darren realizes his hope for a miracle like the one in a fairyland is impossible, but to God what is impossible if He wills.

The machine that had shown a straight line that signaled there was no more life, now moved back to display Feli's heart rate. Is not the power of God real? It is impossible for man, but it is possible for God.

Everyone in the room was shocked by the real miracle that was clearly displayed before them. It's hard to believe, but that's what happened. God showed his greatness and power. Feli's heart rate is back. The doctor who got a bogeman from Darren earlier swiftly revealed the white cloth that covered Feli's body. He immediately checked the girl's pulse.

"Set up the operating room" he ordered, which was immediately nodded by several nurses and immediately left.

Mommy_nya Mika walked over to Darren.

"Darren" called out to her in a quivering voice as she dropped herself in Darren's arms. Darren did not reply but he returned his Mommy_ hug. He breathed out, feeling relieved for a moment.

Thanks, God. Only two words came out of his mouth. He was happy, God granted his prayers, his family's prayers and everything's prayers.

Darren raised his hand rubbing his face that was filled with tears of happiness. At that moment he felt relieved. He also felt his heart beating again. Felix and Mike who saw it all immediately approached joined Mika and Darren. They hugged. Give thanks in silence.

"Don't cry dude" Mike chuckles in the middle of his prank.

"Tell that to yourself, you cry too, dude" she replied, pushing Daddy_nya and Mike's body away from her and Mommy_nya. Darren hugged tightly the tiny body of Mommy_nya, hiding her face in Mika's arms.

"We'll be operating on it soon"

The nurses immediately took Feli to the operating room. Darren stops the bankers who brought Feli. He looked down and kissed Feli inside.

"We're here baby, we'll be waiting for you. Don't surrender!! I'm sure you're strong, baby, I'm sure of that. Don't think about leaving us again because your place is just here, with us and in my arms."

It's been two hours but there's no sign yet that the operation is complete. Darren can't calm down in his place. He paced back and forth like iron. Darren even ruffled his hair a few times in frustration. He had to come into the operating room to ensure the condition of his lover.

"Hey calm yourself down" Mike moved closer to Darren and led him to sit in his place.

"How can I calm down Mike while Feli is fighting inside there. I won't be able to calm down before knowing she's doing well" Darren ruffled his hair back.

Darren finally nodded his head. What Mike said is true. He must be sure that Feli will be fine and come back to him.

After waiting for hours, the lights that declared the operation was going on went out. Darren and his family stood up. The door of the room opened showing the tired face of the Doctor but still forced himself to smile. Darren and his family were finally able to breathe a sigh of relief after seeing the smile on the Doctor's face. A smile explained that Feli was fine.

The operation against Feli was successful. Of course that's very encouraging news for Darren and his family. But behind that happiness is still tucked in sorrow, because Feli is still reluctant to open his eyes. It has been a week since the operation was successful Feli is still faithfully lying in his place without any intention to open his eyes.

During that one week Darren faithfully accompanied Feli. Darren looked at Feli's face, seeing his lover's body full of bandages plus a machine and a hose attached to his body to support the girl's life. Darren and his family remain grateful because Feli is still breathing for them.

"Darren" Her Mommy call made her turn her head. He saw Mommy and Daddy standing there.

"You need to rest, baby" Mika rubbed Darren's hair.

"You look so fucked up"

"Do you want Feli to see you like this"

"I'm not going anywhere Mom until Feli opens her eyes. I'll keep her company here" Darren said flatly with no expression at all.

"At least you have to eat to have the energy to look after Felix" Felix said. Really he did not doubt Darren's feelings towards Feli but he did not expect Darren would be this fragile. Darren looks like a living corpse. The focus is only one of Feli.

"What if you get sick and get treated? Do you want when Feli wakes up and sees you like that" Felix pats Darren on the back.

Darren finally moved, which his mommy_ said was true. Feli will not like the condition of the undead, he took the provisions brought by his Mommy_. Soon he finished his meal. He didn't want to linger far from Feli's side.

Darren took a breath and exhaled it. His outstretched hand touched Feli's pale face.

"It's been 2 months, baby, how long are you gonna sleep like this, baby? Are you happy with your sleep? Is your dream so beautiful that you are reluctant to wake up? Don't you feel sorry for me? My body is already thin dry like this because it is waiting for you. You know baby, one day without hearing your voice feels really long. I miss you so much. And Daddy misses your screams too"

Darren went back to exhaling a long breath.

"Well baby, if you still want to sleep and don't want to open your eyes, it doesn't matter. I'll wait for you here until you're willing to open your eyes again. But never leave me. Because I love you and will always love you. Love you Felicia Breyonna Maxston" Darren smiled warmly.

"You heard dear my last name turned out to be very suitable pinned in your name, not so Mrs. Maxston?"
