26. The Reveal of Secrets

Feli rolled over on his bed. It's been a week since Darren's departure. During that one week Darren always tried to contact him but Feli always ignored him. The incoming message that Darren sent also did not reply. But deep down he missed his beloved half so much.

Feli breathed out. Unemployment plus abandoned afternoon lover heart is a tough test for Feli. His phone sounded a notification sign. He quickly took his phone. He believes it was a message from Darren.

"Yes I miss you so damn much" Feli muttered without any intention of replying to Darren's message. He wanted to punish the man by ignoring him.

Feli reread all the messages Darren had sent him. And that slightly reduced his longing.

Back Feli's phone rang.

Feli got up from his sleep. A big smile adorned his face.

"Well Mr. Maxston, this kind lover of your heart will grant your wish. You have to pay a lot for this" Feli immediately booked a plane ticket to Italy. If his Daddy doesn't allow it, the only way is to escape.

Darren, Allan and Emily have just returned from the hotel's construction site in collaboration with O'Neil McKenzie Group and Willson Group.

Darren finished his work here in just one week that was supposed to be scheduled for this month. He really worked hard because he could not stand the longing for Feli. He could go crazy if Feli kept ignoring him for a month.

Tomorrow he can go home and meet his girlfriend. He was really impatient. He deliberately did not tell his family to surprise Feli.

"All right.I still have a meeting with one of my clients around here. You and Emily go home first" Allan told Darren of his daydreams.

Darren and Emily nodded.

"What about lunch before we get back ?" take Emily.

"All right" Darren replied.

"Do you still like Gnocchi? emily asked, remembering that Darren loved the food.

"I'm not picky about Em's food" said Darren.

"Alright, I'll bring you the festivities that provide excellent Gnocchi cuisine. You should try it"

Gnocchi is one of the favorite Italian food of many people and is often in various Italian restaurants around the world. Actually, this gnocchi is a type of dumpling made from flour made with various flavors and styles. There is gnocchi that contains meat and there is also gnocchi made specifically for vegetarians which certainly does not contain meat in it.

"I'm sorry I just asked you now, how's Aunty Ashley doing?" ask Emily as soon as they sit down.

"Mom, it's been a long time since Em died" Darren's voice sounded bitter. There is sadness in it.

"Oh my gosh.I'm sorry Darren. I really don't know. I've always wondered if any of your coverage of Aunty has never been seen and even her name has never been mentioned" Emily said

Darren just smiled bitterly.

"You must be so lonely?"

Darren shook his head quickly.

"Mommy and Daddy who took care of me and raised me until now love me very much. They are very nice people"

"Yes, I've heard a lot about the McKenzie family. It's no secret that Mr and Mrs McKenzie are very loving people. They're also very harmonious" Emily praised

"Yes, I was so lucky and grateful to be raised in that family" a warm and sincere smile was seen on Darren's face. Thank you is not enough to express gratitude to Mommy and Daddy. He could not imagine what he would be without the kindness of his parents.

"Looks like you love them so much" Emily saw Darren's soft eyes every time she talked about the family that raised her.

"Very.." Darren nodded his head.

"They're so lucky to have a son like you who loves them so much"

"No Emily" Darren chimps quickly

"But I'm the lucky one" he continued.

"Oh I'm sorry" Emily grimaced as she saw Darren's face suddenly change upon hearing Emily's words.

"Oh my goodness.how small is this world. I really didn't expect to meet one of my best friend's sons here" came the voice of the woman who made Darren and Emily compact to turn towards the source of the voice.

Noura smiled as she approached their table. Darren was surprised not because he saw Noura, but the woman he was with. Clarissa.

"Dara..Dar..Darren.." Clarissa's voice shook.

Darren looked at him sharply. The memory of what happened 5 years ago seems to revolve in front of him.

"Darren..this is really you?" Clarisa shamelessly approached Darren and sat down beside him. He looked at the man's face. The man she loved so much.

"Darren, I miss you so much" Clarissa dropped herself into Darren's arms.

"Keep away from me damn it!" Darren pushes Clarissa's body to the point of almost falling if Noura doesn't hold her back.

"Oh you're so rude. What is this about that bitch's upbringing" cynical Noura.

"Please watch your words Aunty. Don't ever insult my Mommy. Otherwise I won't be disinclined by you and forget that you're an old man" Darren's jaw hardened with the emotion of hearing Mommy called the curse.

"Darren.You know Aunty Noura and Clarissa?" Emily's confused face. Darren frowned at Emily's question.

"You know them too?" darren asked back.

"Then what about the destroyer woman?" Darren directed his eyes sinisterly pointing at Noura.

"Aunty, Mommy Clarissa" and it really worked to get Darren close to having a heart attack. How can it be like this? the question danced with him.

"Hey.young people watch your words"

"You call me a destroyer, and what about that bitch who took Felix from your Mommy Ashley?" Noura attacked Darren.

"It looks like I have to go Emily" Darren did not respond to Noura's remarks. He was so lazy to face the woman he never knew.

"Ciihh.so you're a young man"

"Looks like you really love and respect your foster parents" a mocking smile was seen on Noura's sly face.

"Are you going to look at them with the same view if you only knew they weren't as good as you think" Noura was still fishing.

Darren who was about to step foot broke his intention. He looked at Noura. Noura smiled as she felt her lure reap the rewards.

"Aren't you surprised?" noura foolishly asked.

"You always look pathetic Aunty" Darren chuckled lazily

"Is that your only weapon to destroy my family?" Darren raised his eyebrows.

"Wake up from your dream Aunty. You won't be able to destroy my family's happiness" Darren smiled cynically as he walked away from Noura who was surprised to find Darren's reaction.

Darren suddenly stopped his steps and twisted his body.

"Repenting may not prolong your life, but it can at least lessen the burden of your enormous sin" Darren turned around after saying the sentence.

Noura growling. His anger has risen. He threw the thing on the table so scattered on the floor.

"Aunty controls you" Emily tries to calm him down.

"You can surprise Clarissa" he said.

Noura looked at Clarissa who was still staring at Darren's back until it was not visible

"How do you know him?" clarissa muttered that Noura and Emily could still hear.

Darren slammed his ass in the passenger seat. He loosened his tie. Her chest feels tight.

"Are you okay sir?" lucas asked as soon as he saw his master's face.

"Find out all about Emily and Clarissa. And how could that demonic woman be his mother" Darren gave the order ignoring Lucas's question.

I need you to calm me down, Feli, he said in his heart.

Darren reached into his cell phone. He'll try to contact Feli. I hope he gets lucky this time. It was easy for Feli to answer his call. Hearing the woman's voice might be able to calm her down a little.

Darren frowning. It seems like luck is not on his side. Feli's phone is off.

"Why does the woman hold up so much when she silences someone" Darren shook his head.

"You said something sir?" Ask Lucas

"Ckk..stop being Luc's formal" Darren said. Yes Lucas is a secretary who is his best friend as well. He, Alllan and Lucas were friends who attended the same university.

"Did Feli still ignore you? Lucas chuckles.

"Hmm" murmured Darren, coinciding with his phone ringing.

"Did you miss me so much Dad?" darren said lazily as soon as he received his Daddy call.

"Trust me. Right now I'm very upset with you" he said again.

"Feli's missing"

"Well.what?" Darren straightened his body.

"It looks like he's catching up with you"

Darren breathed a sigh of relief.

"All right, I'll look for him"

"Tell Mommy, Feli must be fine" Darren smiled. She heard the sound of crying as her Mommy hiccups.

"Darren" Call his Daddy.

Darren jerks. Mentioning his name is something his Daddy rarely does.

"Go home immediately. There's something Daddy needs to talk about"

Darren caught his Daddy's serious remark. And it looks like he knows what his Daddy is going to talk about.

"I'll be home as soon as I find Feli Dad" he replied.

"It looks like Daddy already knew it" Darren murmured

"Good fight buddy" Lucas chuckled.
