39. Long Beep

"DARREN, LOOKOUT!!"

Darren turned his head back, and instantly his eyes widened to see Noura's car speeding towards him. Darren had yet to give a reaction he had already felt his body being pushed firmly.

Darren saw clearly how Feli's body was again hit hard a second time for the same reason. Saved him. Darren sees Feli's body floating in the air before crashing into the street. While the car driven by Noura collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction. In an instant the place was covered in blood on the asphalt.

Seeing Feli's body lying covered in blood, Darren felt his life as if it were floating along. He was petrified and indeed he was no longer able to just move his body, even to say the name Feli, his lips were unable to move. Until finally his vision began to blur and a moment later everything looked pitch-black. Darren's fainted.

"FELIII.." cried Darren as he came to his senses. Breath is broken. He looked around confused. The room is dominated by white color and a pungent smell typical of hospitals. At that instant Darren felt his life drift.

"Feli..." Darren looked at Mike.

Looking at Mike's messed up face Darren knows his Feli_ isn't okay. Darren immediately got down from his place. He grimaced with the pain in his head.

"Darren don't force yourself. You also need treatment" Mike keeps Darren from getting out of place.

"I'm fine" Darren took Mike's hand off his shoulder. He ran out like a madman calling Feli's name.

Felix who saw Darren running limped came to him.

"You're fine" Felix held Darren's shoulder

"Dad...Feli" Her tears fell without excuse. She saw her Mommy crying roaring in Mike's arms. I don't know when Mike was there.

Felix pointed at the room Feli was dealt with. Darren saw that now Feli's bloodied body was being cleaned and handled by several nurses. Darren again felt his life was forced from his body to see Feli's condition lying unconscious. Darren cursed and blamed himself.

With a shaky step he was invited to approach Feli who was lying on top of the bankar. As soon as he arrived in front of Feli he immediately brought Feli into his deck. Close him tightly. Feli did not give a reaction. Feli who closed his eyes tightly and did not look intent on opening his eyes at all completely frightened him to death. But what could he do? Everything that happened was bad for him. All she could do was hold Feli's hand and kiss him, hoping that she could feel the warmth she was channeling.

Felix who saw him from earlier looks quite strong in front of his family also can not stem his tears anymore. He was devastated to see the condition of his two children.

"Excuse me. We must immediately bring the patient to the operating room to be treated immediately"

"Do Doctor. Please save my daughter" Felix approached and pulled Darren to release Feli, so Felix could be dealt with quickly.

"Let me go with her" Darren pleaded with her. He wanted to always be near Feli to give strength to his lover. He wanted her to feel his presence.

"Dad, I just want to stay beside him" Darren quickly cut.

"I just want to be around Dad, I just want to see him and I just want Feli to feel my presence" Darren replied in a hoarse voice without letting go of his gaze at Feli.

"Doctor, the patient's heart is weakened" shouted a nurse sounding anxious making the situation increasingly gripping.

"Ready Defibrillator" ordered the Doctor.

Darren's riveted. If possible, he was eager to replace the position of Feli with himself. The sound from the machine connected to Feli's body sounded increasingly fast.

God, please don't take Feli out of my life. Please!!! Feli please hold on dear, I'm sure you're strong baby, Darren's prayer wail in my heart.

Just as Darren finished his prayer, the room suddenly became quiet, until what was heard was a long beep from the monitor connected to Feli's body. Shortness, that's what Darren felt.

"No," his voice choked.

"No.no.no Feli, don't do that I beg you" he said.

"Mom, Dad," he turned to look at his parents who wanted to ask what he saw was wrong, but seeing her mommy_ who was wailing hysterically in her Daddy_ embrace made her smile softly with tears running down her face. He exhaled a rough breath, then walked closer to the Doctor with several nurses still standing in place.

"I ASK WHY ARE YOU GUYS JUST STANDING HERE, DAMN IT?!"

"DO YOUR DUTY AND SAVE MY BELOVED!!SAVE MY LOVER, MOTHERFUCKER!!!" shouted Darren while gripping the collar of the Doctor who handles Feli. The doctor did not respond. He was just silent and resigned to let his neck in the grip of Darren, because indeed no one can do anything once see a straight line on the screen of the machine monitor.

Darren looked at Mommy, Daddy and his brother Mike. He walked up to his Daddy_.

"Dad.." call him in a weak voice.

"Dad.I beg you to tell them to save Feli." "Save our Feli"

"Please Dad, please tell them" Darren thundered onto the floor while holding his Daddy_'s hand. He sobbed with his face down.

Suddenly Darren stood up.

"Feli is alive" he murmured.

"Yes. Feli is alive. My lover is alive. She was a strong woman" Darren walked up to Feli's pale body fusing his fingers with Feli's fingers.

"Dear, I'm not a darling"

"Open your eyes, baby"

"Show them that you're strong, that what I'm saying is true. You're not gonna leave me, are you, baby" Darren kissed Feli's entire cold face. Hoping for her kiss to provide warmth in that helpless cold body.

"Dear, don't scare me. Please open your eyes, baby"

"Darling didn't you forbid me to smile at another woman. I promise to keep it, baby. It is not me who smiles at them, but they are the ones who smile at me dearly, but from today on I will not return their smiles. Wake up. Or the smile on my face would completely disappear forever. Do you have any love" Darren grew sobbing and more frightened when Feli did not give any response.

Mike's body shook with his cry. He really doesn't know how to. He wanted to believe Darren's words but his eyes also saw a clear straight line in the machine.

"I'm sorry Mr. McKenzie" said the doctor with great regret

"Time of death of the patient....."

"DARREN AWAKE" Mike snapped.

"Mike, you also believe what that damn Doctor said" Darren cried. His heart was broken unceremoniously.

Lord, please do not play with my life with trials that I may not be able to endure. I beg you not to take Feli from my side. Feli is my strength and my weakness. I would have no meaning without him, I would not have been able to live my life without him beside me.
