Securing Julia

In a room of one of the country's major hospitals, Jack looked in disdain at Mery and Hanna who were sitting with intimidating looks at him.

"Tell me the truth, the state of my granddaughter-in-law."

"Jack, who asked was grandma. So you have to be honest." Hanna added with a sweet smile.

Jack sighed and asked, "What kind of situation do you mean?"

"All." answered Mery firmly.

Jack thought, glancing at Hanna's eyes then back at Mery. "He was exposed to a toxin mixed with a high level of stimulant drugs. If Julia doesn't find her satisfaction, then the drug will sever the entire nerve and die."

Hanna and Mery were shocked with wide eyes. They did not expect that much of an effect from the poison. Julia's life is really at stake.

"Then how is he doing now? Jack please do everything you can to save my son-in-law's granddaughter" Mery said as she pulled and clasped Jack's hand.

Jack smiled and stroked Mery's hand. "Grandmother, I'm just a doctor. There is no antidote for the poison. Because the poison was specially concocted. The patient will recover by itself after getting satisfaction. And I haven't checked it from yesterday."

"What! Why haven't you checked it yet? My daughter-in-law's granddaughter's life is in danger. Please, do something."

Jack releases Mery's hand and straightens up. "Maxilian won't let me check on him."

Hearing that reason, Mery soared furiously. "That brat. I already know that he's that badass. He even dared to throw me out of his apartment."

"Hanna stroked Mery's arm gently. "Grandma, take care of your emotions."

"When did grandma meet her?" jack asked to know.

"That's not important. Now the most important thing is to know why your cousin forbids you to check on your sister-in-law." said Hanna curiously.

Hearing the question that came from Hanna and Merry, Jack snorted bitterly. "That's because Maxilian said that his wife couldn't walk."

"Did the poison have attacked his leg nerves to the point that he couldn't walk?" hanna still didn't understand.

Jack closed his body and slightly leaned over the edge of the table. "The pain has nothing to do with the poison. The last time I checked, he was better. But the pain that he is now experiencing because.ah I am a bit difficult to explain."

"Jack talks too long. You didn't mean to say my son-in-law's granddaughter was paralyzed, did you?"

Jack pulled his lips out a thin smile. "Grandmother, I was sorry to say this earlier. But the pain your grand-daughter-in-law is going through because of your own granddaughter."

"Because of cousin sister?"

"Because Lian? How dare that child hurt my daughter-in-law's granddaughter! I'll take back the shares I just gave him!" stand up and ready to go.

Jack held off Mery's departure, "Grandmother, that's not what I meant. It's not what you imagined."

Mery stopped and looked at Jack in surprise. Hanna brought Mery's bag.

"It may be pain that ends happily. Grandma, looks like you're gonna have a great-grandchild."

"Sweety?" ask Hanna and Mery together.

"So you mean.sick sister-in-law is now due.."

Jack nodded. "Well, Maxilian might be too wild and rough. I mean, Julia's hurt and has trouble walking. Maybe for the next week. I've warned Maxilian to hold back the next week. So, so we're.."

"Hanna let's go. We have to shop for home. I'll buy milk and healthy food for my son-in-law's granddaughter. Ayoyo, my poor daughter-in-law's granddaughter, she must be in pain because of that bad boy. Ayoyo, I'll jewel the bad boy's ears. Let's go." said Mery as he pulled Hanna's hand without waiting for Jack to say again.

Hanna smiled clumsily as she nodded her head as Mery dragged her along. His face blushes as Jack explains the cause of Julia's pain. That Julia couldn't walk because of the long night she spent with her cousin.

The next day, the sound of the apartment bell had Maxilian cursing. The man walked out in all unbuttoned pajamas. He frowned when again he saw Mery and Hanna appear behind the door with a lot of groceries that he did not know what was inside.

"grandmother."

"You're a bad boy!" Mery quickly lifted the carrot in his hand to slap it against Maxilian's back many times.

"Ahk! grandma, stop. What are you doing! That hurts."

Hanna just laughed at all that. His feelings warmed for a while. He went in and went straight to the kitchen.

While Mery heaved a heavy sigh after running around chasing after his grandson. His hand turned towards Maxilian. "I already know everything. You, you've hurt him. You, you're really naughty! No matter how much you feel for my granddaughter-in-law, but you should be able to care more about her. Why can't you hold back? Why are you making trouble for my daughter-in-law's granddaughter?"

Maxilian's face flushed. He was shaking with shame. "Grandmother, The.. That's not a big deal. You don't have to be hysterical. Ahk! Ahk. yeah, yeah.I know, I know."

Not hearing Maxilian's reasoning, Mery again hit Maxilian. All of that came to a halt after a soft coughing sound rang out and Lucas entered all of a sudden.

"Grandfather."

Mery turned his head and looked at Maxilian at a glance. "Where is my son-in-law's granddaughter? I'll take him home. I won't let you approach her this week."

"Grandmother, that's impossible. I made it like this, so I'll take care of it. I'm.."

Maxilian came to a standstill when she realized that she had been talking a lot in front of her grandparents for discussing Julia. This unprecedented state of affairs, was extremely embarrassing for him.

"Sit." scolded Lucas coldly.

Maxilian followed and Mery followed. They sit in the main room.

"Call Julia."

Maxilian turned, "No, don't involve my wife."

"This brat!" maki Lucas is upset. He raised his wand and was about to hit Maxilian but came to a halt as Maxilian raised both his hands to protect his head.

Coughing softly, Lucas glanced at the other room that was closed. "I want to see Julia."

"He's resting."

"This brat! Look at who you're talking to." This time Mery was no longer able to resist her frustration.

"Now do you know you're responsible?" asked Lucas coldly. "We'll take care of him. I'll keep my great-granddaughter-in-law away from your rudeness."

"Maxilian's silence frowned, "Grandfather, what do you mean?"

"You still asking?" ask Lucas at the core.

Maxilian turned her gaze with a red face. "That, I just got out of control. And, and he wasn't in pain then either. This is my household business anyway. Jad, um,..."

"Look!" cut Mery can't stand it. "I didn't know you were so wild! This kid is really naughty!"

Lucas coughed softly with an uncomfortable feeling. "Right, our youth are as excited as you are, but this time I can't let my granddaughter-in-law suffer. We will look after him for the first three months so that the Lunox family's descendants can develop well. Don't expect you to get close to him!"

The debate between Maxilian and her grandparents lasted long and difficult. No one wants to give up until Julia finally comes out to help Hanna. At the sight of Julia who looked fine despite her sweaty face, Lucas and Mery were now relieved and more trusting. Maxilian takes both of them home and leaves Julia with Hanna.

On the balcony of the room that looks quiet makes Hanna step freely. She turned her back on Julia as she asked, "I can't believe a cousin really touched you."

Julia smiled thinly. His eyes looked clear with all of a flat expression that was not hidden. "What reward do you want?"
