“Happy Day…. Am I talking to Ms Hasna?”


“Ya my own”.


“I from PT Great Indonesia. Answering Mom's application about the position of Trainer in the Training and Development Division that Mother is applying for, we invited Mom for an interview on Wednesday, June 8 at 10 am, at Lt. 8. Can Ibu Hasna come?”


“Ow Yes, thank you Sir. God willing I can come. Sorry where is the address sir?”


“We will send you the full address and time by email. I just made sure Mother Hasna's readiness to be present on that date and hour”.


“Good sir, God willing I am present. I wait for his email, thank you”.

“Who Hasna? Job offer?" Mr. Sembiring looked at Hasna with his reading glasses stuck to his nose.


He is a Team Leader Consultant in the Project Office. Hasna has worked in the office for almost 6 months. Projects that deal with the Development of Agricultural and Livestock Programs throughout Indonesia.


“Iya Sir, I used to apply at the company before working here, just after finishing college while waiting for graduation”.


“Why did you choose to work here?” Mr. Sembiring was like astonished at Hasna's presence in his office. Understandably the project office is in a small district, hitchhiking at the Central Agricultural Hall which houses agriculture and livestock throughout Indonesia.


“I can offer here to replace the position of the old secretary who resigned Pak”


“So not applying to this office?”


“No Pak”


“Pantesan”


“Why Pak?”


“Any you throw yourself to a remote area with a salary that is not quite”, said Mr. Sembiring.


“Hehehehe... throw yourself how sir? Father is also the same dong, throw away” Hasna grin.


“I'm old don't have much choice, retiree offered to be Team Leader Consultant of course I accept. Placed in remote areas and minimal entertainment is not a problem for me, unlike you are young, still like the sparkling world”.


“Waduh Bapak to know dugem, jep ajep ajep ajep…. Former distributor dulu”.


“Hushh... You are just as parents talk, what is dugem? Call me a dealer again. My face does not fall into the category like the Rudi's boss you” Mr. Sembiring glanced his eyes at the entrance, worried also like the project boss heard ghibah us both.


Mr. Sembiring just smiled, since Hasna's presence in the Project, much of his work is well helped.


Undertook 18 Consultants who build agriculture and livestock in the regions of Indonesia quite heavy in reporting and administrative preparation, it has been almost 2 years he helped in this project. The project management was assisted by administrative staff personnel sent from the center, the start of the project was running, he was assisted by Iqbal as Project Leader for approximately a year, he was, Iqbal work is quite focused and can handle administration well. There are five staff who prepare reports and development materials in the field.


Iqbal deficiency is only one, can not come on time, often comes late due to bad luck, comes to the office around 10 and finished at 9 pm, and is not good enough, the working rhythm is not adjusted to the condition of the area.


Iqbal who is used to Jakarta does not see that local staff are not used to working more than 5 hours. They'll be home at 4 hours exactly according to working hours. This is a problem and often disagree with the staff.


Iqbal was replaced by Rudi. I am thankful that Rudi can come early. 9 Hours can already come in the office, but well the name of man there are only shortcomings. Rudi has no pattern of work, he just sits at the table like working on something but it turns out just playing games.


Until finally Mr. Sembiring asked the assistant to the Head Office to help him work on the concept of letters and other financial statement administration work.


Finally opened a secretary vacancy for Mr. Sembiring. His secretary turns out to be the younger brother of the staff who has already entered, a boy, Jaka his name. It is quite possible to make financial reports and letters because of Accounting graduates. But again Mr. Sembiring protested. Jaka has no initiative, must be told first and cannot do work without being supervised.


Jaka is only busy working if Mr. Sembiring is in the office, but once Mr. Sembiring to the counterparty office in Balai surely Jaka will play games with Rudi or smoke outdoors. Mr. Sembiring finally complained and asked Jaka to be replaced and that's when Hasna joined work on this project. With Hasna Pak Sembiring can breathe a sigh of relief, although not a graduate of Accounting or Finance but Hasna can make reports and cash books every month.


Making a letter to an outside institution, Hasna can do it yourself, initially Mr. Sembiring gave an example of the next letter Hasna can make his own draft without being asked, he said, despite many revisions to the contents of the letter, Mr. Sembiring appreciated Hasna's initiative.


Now many letters are made without revisions again coupled with the increasing busyness of Mr. Sembiring is not too questioning errors that are typo or writing, or, it only often reminds Hasna to reread the contents of the letter before it is sent.


Hasna's initiative is not only that, when reports from consultants have not been entered while deadlines from the headquarters have to be submitted. He took the initiative to draft his own field report for consultants who were late to report. When asked where the material is from, Hasna answered from the monthly field report material and added searching on google for the condition of the area.


And the report is quite good so it can be directly sent to the Head Office without a reprimand. It used to be Mr. Sembiring himself who had to make a backup report to keep reports from consultants who were late. Very helpful, the consultants also praised Hasna's performance because it was often helped to work on the report. It felt like the calm had just been felt by Mr. Sembiring and now he heard Hasna getting a job offer elsewhere.
