Visiting the sick is a rare habit in this village. Only the most brothers. With neighbors, it is rare.
So it is very surprising if Surya brings enough hands. He went down in front of the gate of Katrin's house. Even though she's gone home on her honeymoon, she won't recognize this car loan.
"I went straight home, Sur," said Gerdy.
"Be careful with the knife. You'll have to sweep later. Today in the town of sub-district there's a demo."
"I didn't go through town, a little far away but didn't get stuck."
"It should be so."
Solar down. Gerdy's car sped away. He did not want the people in the house to recognize his car. Datuk Menjinggi people can definitely track down and finally found his home address.
Surya opened an unlocked gate and entered the courtyard of the house while carrying several plastic bags containing parcels.
Surya rang the bell. Mirna appeared from inside the house wearing a negligee.
"Kang Dudung yesterday status update again hurts, is it true?" ask Surya.
"Oh yeah, got a fever" Mirna replied. "Since yesterday I have not woken up from my bed."
"Mrs exists?"
"Have gone again. He said he wanted to honeymoon in Bali, keep going to Europe."
Shit, grumbled Surya in heart. Knowing that Katrin had been away for quite a while, Gerdy was told to stop by earlier, all staying over. So they are free to do research.
"Come in, Sur," said Mirna.
Surya's in, Mirna's closing the door. The hands were handed to him.
"Wear bring everything," said Mirna.
"It's okay" said Surya. "Kang Dudung was not taken to the clinic?"
"Tomorrow if the heat doesn't go down."
"Please call the pandemic task force. He's got asthma, right?"
"Now likes to relapse."
"Then call the task force to investigate the disease."
"Just go to the room in the back, Sur," said Mirna. "He must be happy to see his old friend coming."
"Si Emi is invisible?"
"He likes to run around when the madam isn't around."
Surya deliberately walked a little slowly so that he could see the situation inside the house. He did not find anything suspicious on the existing furniture and furnishings. After all, he was at a loss for what evidence to look for.
The first day of the visit does not seem to be getting satisfactory results. Surya is difficult to detect the presence of Papi last time in this house. Caught from what?
He doesn't hide his things. He only knows his habits that have become the lips of the community; gambling, drunk, playing women.
There were no cards, bottles of drinks, or contraceptives on the sideboards and glass cabinets he passed.
Dudung was about to get up from his lying down when Surya went into the room between his wife. Mirna put the parcel on the small table.
"Have fallen asleep" prevent Surya. "I lost my chess buddies two days ago."
"Thank you for visiting me" said Dudung, lying down again. "Thank you for that too. We're good at keeping our distance. I'm worried about the current illness."
"Then I asked Akang's wife to contact the pandemic task force" Surya said. "I brought Akang's favorite food and drink. I wasn't in this room long. May it heal soon."
"Thank you, Sur."
Surya's gone. His eyes agilely read the situation around him. Many rooms are closed. He had to make sense in order to check the room.
"May I go to the toilet?" ask Surya.
"Oh, I can, I can."
Surya went into the maid's special toilet. He deliberately linger inside because he knows the weather outside is thick cloudy. If it rains, there is plenty of time to stay in the house.
Surya smiled apologetically as Mirna came out faithfully waiting in front of the door. "Wait a while?"
"Oh, it's okay."
They arrived in the living room, greeted by thunderous lightning and power outages, then the rain fell very heavily.
Surya pretended to be agitated, even though his heart was smiling.
"Just wait until the rain stops, Sur," said Mirna. "The umbrella exists, only I forget where to keep it."
Mirna was afraid to look for her. Dark again. The situation in the house looks scary. I don't know why. Probably because the house is too big.
"If you don't mind, we'll look for an umbrella together" Surya said. He knows Mirna's a coward. "Rain until night."
"I can search for myself" smiled Mirna. "Just as the umbrella was found, the rain must have stopped."
The atmosphere in the house is dark because there are no emergency lights. The generator seems to be problematic, but it should automatically turn on when PLN electricity is off.
"I'm looking for a candle first" said Mirna. "Make it in my husband's room. You got a match?"
"There's." Surya handed over the gas she carried. "Bare yourself?"
"If it's still day, I dare to let it be dark too."
Mirna's gone. Surya took advantage of the opportunity to examine several rooms. He didn't find anything strange. Usually there is a negative air if in this house there has been a murder. He felt no signs of astral beings.
Sun's mind is dead-end. He didn't come up with an idea to find evidence about Papi's murder. This afternoon was pretty good there. He did not have a good instinct to read this situation he had just seen.
Mirna came with a candle and a cup of coffee. Drinks on the table. It's getting dark.
"I'll just go home, Tea," said Surya. "Day starts at night."
"Wait a bit off" stop Mirna. "Rain like this you'll get sick later. Drink the coffee."
Surya took a sip of coffee, then asked, "Mrs aren't angry if you guys receive guests?"
"I don't know. We've never received a guest."
The candle goes out in the wind through the open door. The door was deliberately opened, the room felt stuffy because of all the airtight vents.
The pitch-black atmosphere.
"You can fix the generator, Sur?" ask Mirna.
"I know a little bit" replied Surya. "The automatic switch might not work."
"Why didn't you tell me earlier that you could?" grouse Mirna. "Let's fix it, the generator's at the back of the house."
They got up from the couch. Lightning struck the door very hard. They were shocked and fell collided onto the sofa with Surya overriding Mirna.
Silent room. There was no sound from the sofa. Outside the rain is getting heavier.
Somehow the story, some time later, Mirna moans and the sound of wood creaking sofa.
"Oh, Sur.ssshht.... How did it get like this?" sigh Mirna. "Are you going to fix the generator?"
"I don't know..," Surya sizzled. "How come?"
Mirna's groans grew louder tore the rumble of rain as if to give a sign to finish.
By the time everything was over, Surya saw Papi standing watching at the inner chamber door with a knife stuck in his chest, then turning away.
"I went to the toilet for a while" Surya told Mirna, who was lying on the sofa.
He immediately walked towards the inner room. His eyes were trying to adapt to the darkness around, and so it was easy to follow because of the glint of blade light in which Papi occasionally turned his head towards him.
The man walked through the kitchen and out the back door. He stood for a while at the end of the porch and looked. It was fortunate that Surya was a brave man, so did not fall unconscious to see such a deathly pale face that was so real.
Then Papi stepped into the courtyard through the torrent of rain.
Surya stood on the veranda watching his movements. He could see clearly which way it was going. Papi disappeared behind a small pendopo.
Surya immediately contacted Gerdy and recounted the incident.
"You fucked Mirna so you could see Papi's spirit?" search Gerdy shocked.
"You could say accident" said Surya honestly. "Everything just happens."
"I'm asking you to come home soon" said Gerdy. "You have betrayed your wife."
Surya bengong's. How did it get like this?
"Your wife believes in you so much. We're stopping this investigation for the good of your household."
"But...."
"I'm asking you to leave that house immediately."
Surya was confused. He himself did not know how it happened. But should the investigation end without certainty?
