This is What is Called Love

That morning Katrin visited Umi's house. She was greeted by Umi and her husband kindly. They were surprised the woman came alone.

"His lawyer wasn't taken?" ask Abi. "Mediation should be done with the presence of a lawyer so that it looks official."

"The lawyer again took care of other clients because my arrival was sudden" Katrin said. "It doesn't matter if I'm able to keep the situation conducive."

After Katrin left, they sat for a long time without speaking. They seemed to not believe what they had just experienced. There must be something that made the woman change her mind. Abi never let Umi go alone on matters of friendship. Unless he disagrees with his wife's goals, sometimes he is released to go alone.

Nadine was playing with Idyla in the front garden when Abi's car entered the courtyard of the house. He handed his son over to the baby sitter. Heart's pounding. But looking at the cherry on their faces, he calmed down a little.

Nadine greeted them and brought them to the veranda.

"Please, Abi Umi," said Nadine, inviting them to sit down.

"Thank you" Abi said as he sat in the rattan chair followed by his wife.

"What's the matter with Abi when Umi comes to my house?" nadine asked a little nervously. "Is there anything to do with Katrin?"

"Yes" replied Umi calmly. "We came to greet you, and we apologize to Nadine for what Umi said the other day at the wedding."

Nadine looked surprised. A reality that almost did not dare to accept it so much in disbelief. Umi came to apologize? The woman who hates him to the crown is willing to let out regrets?

Nadine's tears expanded feeling moved.

"It shouldn't be that people this old are emotionally controlled" Umi said regretfully. "When Umi came to her senses, how ashamed she thought of the words that had been spoken."

Nadine smiled faintly. "Emotion comes regardless of age and place. So I'm very understanding. I'm also Katrin's sister and I'm sorry for what she did. I've strictly forbidden it, but my brother's character is so."

"Why didn't you tell me Gerdy was coming back to town?"

"Can't you think that?"

"Did he ever come home?"

"He didn't come home to ask you how you were doing."

"I know he came home to persuade Katrin to withdraw her lawsuit."

"When did he persuade women?"

"Did he do it with Katrin?"

"Do what?"

"Katrin is obsessed with sleeping with her. I guess that's what made her stand change."

"You mean your brother pulled the suit?" look at Surya with a pile of happy feelings in his heart. It's not free for them to come to Katrin's house at night.

"Yes" replied Nadine shortly.

"I didn't know Gerdy had sex or played congklak with your brother. What's your problem anyway?"

"Katrin is my sister! And I'm his ex-wife! You think he deserves to do that with my brother?"

"He deserves to fuck anyone in your family, because you're nobody anymore."

"I love her very much, Sur. You understand no?"

"No. Because if you love her so much, why did you leave her and marry Bradley?"

"I didn't leave him. My mistake was choosing my son."

"So because of Idyla you're married to Bradley?"

"Gerdy knew I wanted my son alive, while he couldn't go home to his parents, so he left me."

"I don't know what happened to you. But if you want to know every time Gerdy comes to my house, just kill me."

Nadine looked disappointed. Her marriage to Bradley kept her friend away and was hard to ask for help, as if her divorce from Gerdy was her absolute fault.

"This incident made me know who to sympathize with" said Surya. "Go to your husband's lap. Gerdy is just the past for you. I'd rather tell Katrin. He was willing to sacrifice for his sister. He never loved Dodi or anyone. He only loves the men you wasted."

"You're cruel, Sur." Nadine left crying.

"I'm not cruel" Surya half yelled. "I'm disappointed in your attitude. If Gerdy doesn't want to go home because of his guilt, why don't you try to come home with his son? Their grandchildren? You ran away to the man she was most jealous of!"

"He gave me to Bradley himself!"

"Because you want to be handed over to Bradley! Since childhood you've been friends with him, but you don't know who Gerdy is! Is this what we call love?"
