"Fuck you! Why does she always get away from our clutches?" jia's countenance was so sour that her plan had failed again.
"Relax my dear daughter, we already know that the girl is apparently just a lowly psychic. If your father knew about this he wouldn't be happy, would he?" Consort Fan Hai was sitting staring at the flower garden area while chugging his tea. He let out a long sigh and honestly he also felt what Jia felt. Several times tried to interrupt Ryu but they always failed.
On one hand, Hu Yazhu and the soldiers scoured the Royal Forest to go to the border of the Forbidden Forest looking for the men Ryu had meant before. But, upon arriving there Hu Yazhu found nothing but traces of blood on the ground and also the rope that was still tied to the tree. "Find and follow the trail of his blood!" pinta Hu Yazhu to the soldiers.
When Hu Yazhu and the soldiers went looking for that group of intruders on the other side Ryu Ito was preparing to attend the Palace dinner. After almost finishing dressing Ryu out of the pavilion towards the banquet hall, he perfected his look with a pink hanfu dressing. Ryu walked so gracefully like a peacock showing the beauty of his tail, he hooked his fingers to each other in a hanfu arm that sank his hands.
On the way, he found two brothers who were none other than Princess Long and Prince Long Chen. The two of them also wanted to enliven dinner, then behind him Prince Han with his wife. They all greeted Ryu warmly while smiling a subtle smile on their faces.
"Miss Ryu, let's go together to dinner!" take Princess Long who then walks parallel to Ryu Ito.
"Sister is happy to see your closeness, so it's not hard to accept Miss Ryu to be your sister-in-law ’ right?" Long Chen grinned then leaned his body slightly to look at Ryu who was to the left of Princess Long.
"Sister! Don't always brag, you do that because you just want to make Commander Hu upset ’kan?"
"Ah really? So Prince Long wasn't really interested in me? What's the matter between you guys?" Ryu flirts behind Prince Long.
"It's not like that! Who wouldn't be interested in a smart woman like Miss Ryu, even Prince Jing alone is trying hard to ask you to visit his Palace isn't he?"
Ryu smirked then let out a slow breath, he did not heed Prince Long's question which he thought was not very important. Prince Jing had indeed asked Ryu to visit his Palace through a hand letter he had made himself but for now Ryu had absolutely no interest in visiting. But somehow it would be if she later inherited the throne and became the Female Emperor. Inevitably he had to be on good terms with many other Royal Princes in order to strengthen the empire.
But before that happens of course he must immediately eradicate the weeds that grow in the Palace, one by one he must immediately get rid of. Corrupt officials, sycophants and even enemies in blankets must be annihilated sooner or later. Everyone had gathered in the banquet hall, they greeted each other especially the endless congratulations to Ryu.
"Congratulations Miss Ryu for your victory!" Prince Jing's sharp gaze made Ryu a little awkward, no Hu Yazhu accompanying him made him a little worried for the man's safety. What if many other enemies were hiding in the forest?
Ryu let out a long sigh then smiled subtly to Prince Jing and shook his hand. Not long before King Wen Lei and Consort Fan Hai entered the banquet room, as well as Wen Jia who was behind him. Ryu Ito and everyone who was there immediately paid their respects to King Wen, but Ryu was not so interested in looking towards Concubine Fan Hai which made his hatred even more heightened. The woman acted like an empress who was always next to her father.
"Miss Ryu, thank you very much for your concern for Your Majesty. The emperor seems so healthy these days, I think who made him this way and when I found out it was because of you I was so grateful." Consort Fan Hai grabbed Ryu's hand then gently stroked it.
King Wen looked at Consort Fan Hai and smiled subtly at him, in Ryu's heart he cursed the snake in front of him. Ryu is not impressed by the charade performed by Consort Fan Hai, he also remembers how he used to be deceived by the sweetness of his stepmother's speech in his previous life.
Ryu's face softened, he used a shallower stratagem to further take the heart of King Wen Lei. "His Majesty Fan Hai need not feel that way, I love the Emperor very much because we have been struggling to build our country. So, this servant's small business is nothing compared to the Emperor's health which must improve."
King Wen Lei directed at Ryu, he smiled faintly at her then grabbed a cup of drink and handed it to the girl. "Watch your drink, see you in the Palace it feels like my heart is back as it was when my daughter Yijin was still in the Palace."
"Dad!" Wen Jia appeared suddenly behind Consort Fan Hai's body. Crossing his arms he stared intently at Ryu Ito. Ryu who did not want to make another fuss chose to stay away from their family drama.
"Thank you, Your Majesty, then I should join the others." Ryu saluted and turned around from King Wen along with his little family. He approached a group of Princes and Daughters from other Kingdoms. He sat in the middle of the ranks while occasionally looking towards the door waiting for Hu Yazhu's presence.
Tonight is his schedule to go home to Grandpa Asahi, but iika Hu Yazhu has not come home after the dinner is over and he will only go with his servants. He could not leave his servants at the Palace considering that in his previous life, the people of Wen Jia had always disturbed those around him no exception to the twin maids.
Looking at Ryu who was pondering without a word, Prince Long commented while looking at him. "What's wrong? Can I help you?"
"Tonight I have to go home to my family, every week I'm going home. However, I see Commander Hu has not yet returned." Ryu was actually feeling worried about Hu Yazhu but he could do nothing for now.
"I can take you on my horse-drawn carriage!" Prince Long handed him a cup of his drink waiting for Ryu toast and drink it together.
"But-" Ryu's words came to a halt as he thought of the right answer.
"I volunteered, so there's no need to hesitate. King Wen seems to love you, nor will he let you go home without the supervision of the General or the Commander-in-Chief, right?" in this situation Ryu must be more careful, the more he thwarts the plot of the sycophants the more the enemy will point the sword at him.
When his status as Crown Princess alone easily others hurt and slander him, especially this time who only has the status of a prospective wife of the Warlord. "Well, thank you I accepted your offer, Prince."
