LEGEND OF THE CROWN PRINCESS

Episode 13 - Retaliation

The white horse driven by the lash of love several times groaned at the distance traveled. There are only a few more jengkal left to reach the herd of bandits who kidnapped Akira. Ryu grasped the horse's control with emotion, as Hu Yazhu behind him watched him unblinkingly. The horse screeches to stop their journey, they manage to intercept the bandits in the thick rain forest of leaves.

Hu Yazhu stepped down from his horse and then directly attacked the scoundrels, while Ryu attacked one of the bandits with Akira wrapped around his back in a terrible manner. Hu Yazhu's sword blasphemy managed to lay down three men of not much stature from him. Ryu, meanwhile, swears to avenge them with a more sadistic one.

Without a second thought, Ryu brutally slashed his sword at the lowly capable bandit. He mercilessly continued to slash the man's chest bit by bit as he walked closer. Hu Yazhu who was finished with the three bandits who were now lying on the ground looked at Ryu who was covered in dark emotions, he could only be stunned to see Ryu torturing the man slowly until the pointed tip of the sword stopped pointing towards the man's eyes earlier. "Say! Who told you to do this to my family?"

"I'd rather die than say it!"

"That's your wish? I'll give you!" Ryu turned his head towards Hu Yazhu behind him. "Commander Hu, please release Akira!"

Hu Yazhu nodded, while Ryu slashed away the bandit clothes earlier. The body that was filled with wounds and blood that he let the soil dry. The bandit's hands were tied to the controls hanging down. Ryu stabbed the horse's butt slowly which made the horse neigh and ran irregularly dragging the bandit. "Bring that bastard to his master. Send my warning message to anyone who wants to harm my family!" muttered Ryu.

"Miss Ryu" Hu Yazhu said. Ryu immediately turned his head and approached Akira and placed his sword on the ground.

"Accordingly, awake!"

"I think he was drugged" Hu Yazhu said.

"I have to find out who's been bothering you." Hu Yazhu stood up and was about to move up.

"Commander!" Ryu cut and made Hu Yazhu stop his steps. "No need, I just want you to bring the best Palace healer to the tavern. Grandfather is also full of wounds, once things get better I'll figure it out myself."

Hu Yazhu nodded letting Ryu go first with his horse and took Akira to the tavern. Whereas he went to the Palace with the horses left from the previous bandits. Ryu shed tears as he continued to spur his horse. "I'm sorry, you and grandpa are victims of my problems. But, I promise you in this life I won't let you die or get hurt again."

Arriving at the tavern, Ryu immediately led Akira to the room. Thankfully there was Huo Sijue who came to accompany Asahi's grandfather so he had no trouble bringing the girl to his room. Huo Sijue returned outside accompanying Asahi's weeping grandfather, while Ryu sat down beside his grandfather and patted him on the shoulder a few times. "Who did this?" asked Huo Sijue.

"I don't know yet, maybe it's just the bandits who bother me after I come home from the Palace."

"You were also bullied by them? That bastard is really unsettling!"

"Huo Sijue, I have to go to the Palace today. So, I hope you'll take care of Grandpa and Akira for a while until I get back." Ryu looked at Sijue expectantly, there was worry in the woman's eyes.

"Of course, I'll take care of them for you."

From the sunny morning to the hot sun, Ryu, Sijue and Asahi's grandfather stay in the tavern while drinking tea to appease Asahi's guilty and sad looking grandfather. He felt he could not protect his own grandson. Not long, came a few horses from the Palace. Ryu sees Hu Yazhu bringing the best healer in Gama into the tavern and checks out Akira.

"There's nothing dangerous, he's just inhaling dope and will soon be conscious."

Ryu nodded. "Thank you, can you take care of Grandpa too?"

"Sure, I will treat his wounds" replied the physician.

Ryu nodded then carried a few sets of clothes he had prepared inside the cloth package that formed the bag. Ryu riding Hu Yazhu's horse. Not forgetting before that he hugged Asahi's grandfather, and had Huo Sijue look after his grandfather. Ryu and Hu Yazhu left the tavern riding the man's white horse.

"Are you sad?"

"I feel angry," Ryu concluded. He was sure, this incident did not exist in his previous life.

"I'll have waitress Hu give you a special massage to calm you down." Hu Yazhu smiled faintly.

"Thank you."

Arriving at the Ryu Palace immediately entered the pavilion where he lived and put the items carried. Not long after that too, Ryu was summoned to the main Palace to meet King Wen Lei. He immediately rushed to meet the King who was none other than his own father.

"I heard your family was devastated, I'm so sorry."

Ryu raised his eyebrows he was silent for a moment then lowered his head. "I'm sorry, Your Majesty, because it's very likely that my family can't attend the Palace's dinner."

"It's okay, don't worry I'll help explain to the Hu family."

"Thank you King Wen, and if I may ask permission I would like to prepare you a meal every day. I'm very good at cooking, I guarantee all the menus I make will taste delicious in your Majesty's tongue."

"really? I haven't had a good meal in a long time, my food lately has always been tasteless." King Wen smiled warmly, the man himself felt that there was a strange bond towards Ryu but he only thought that it might be because the woman was the same age as Crown Princess Wen Yijin.

Ryu nodded. "Before it is eaten directly by His Majesty, it doesn't matter if it has to pass the trial stage by the servant. Because it can also reduce something bad to happen."

"Of course, then please prepare food for me every day. I allow you, let alone you being the future wife of my confidant." King Wen nodded he did not feel anything strange from Ryu so he trusted the woman.

"Okay, thanks!" the four men then sauntered away from the Palace by a special road known only to the Palace troops.

Hu Yazhu returned to the main Palace and prepared to bring the slaves that resulted from the defeat of the Aera Tribe rebellion last night. "Sorry, I have to do it Miss Ryu." Hu Yazhu's inner self as she passed by Ryu in the courtyard of the main Palace.
