LEGEND OF THE CROWN PRINCESS

Episode 18 - Archery Training

Ryu Ito and the other colleagues gathered at the archery field, after only five people left from the Wen Kingdom and four other Royal Princesses who took part in the training then they were all each given one horse as for the horses belonging to the other Royal Princesses were their own.

Previously Ryu Ito saw that Hu Yazhu's chosen horse for him was so gallant and healthy last night. However, this time his horse looked so unhealthy and was seen to be spitting out a lot of unusual saliva. If he forced to ride the horse it was most likely what happened was that the horse would go berserk or it could have caused both of them harm.

"Miss Ryu why does your horse look so unhealthy?" Princess Long took a step to get closer towards Ryu Ito's horse.

"Either, last night I was sure that this horse looked so healthy and dashing but why did it look so lethargic this morning?"

"Please wait here for a moment, I have to ask my brother Prince Long Chen for help first. It just so happened that we brought an extra horse to keep watch as my horse got sick and poisoned."

Ryu had just understood that most likely his horse was also deliberately made sick like this. But, he would investigate it later after this selection event was over and by the time that happened he would ask Hu Yazhu for help to check on his horse.

Not for long, Princess Long and the Prince came along with a servant who pulled the horse control rope behind him. "Consider my gratitude to you, this horse is the best race in the entire continent. So there's no need to doubt his strength and speed I'm sure this horse will make you satisfied with his work."

Ryu smiled and saluted Prince Long then he took over the control rope of the horse previously held by the servant. He began his approach with the horses belonging to the Long Royal Family first by gently stroking the cheeks of a brown horse with blackish hair and tail.

"I'm very grateful, Your Majesty."

"Don't hesitate, I have to go back to the fight area again bye!"

Long Chen left the archery area, Princess Xia walked over to Ryu and her second horse. He stroked the horse's cheek gently and smiled towards Ryu. "Zu, do your best for Miss Ryu."

"Look at the two of them so close like brothers-in-law!" Wen Jia was so dislikeful of seeing the closeness of Princess Long and Ryu Ito, she also felt that Ryu took the opportunity to be close to the other Royal Princesses in order for her status to be recognized by all of them. "Princess Jia is cheating?" Ryu was not surprised by the circumstances in front of him, otherwise cheating was not Jia his name. The woman forced the servants to quietly line up and she easily shot out her dye stamp as if she had captured many targets.

"Miss Ryu doesn't need to know what Princess Jia is doing, you better go find another target!" The sycophants were indeed very skilled at looking face, his own older cousin was also shameless about glorifying Jia so he got bigger head because of the treatment. Those people cursed Ryu inwardly, they grew even more dislike towards Ryu's attitude which was considered too meddling in other people's affairs.

Ryu grabbed his arrow and slid the thing right into Wen Jia's head.

"How dare you!" wen jia's.

Ryu raised his eyebrows and acted as if it was an accident. "Sorry, my hand misses I should have shot the waiter behind you Princess."

"Bas a jerk just excuse me! I'll report it to His Majesty the King for your disrespect towards me and I'll make sure you get more in return than you did!" Wen Jia grabbed her secret arrow, an arrow with a pointed tip and was not used for training but to attack Ryu Ito.

"Receive this!"

In such a short period of time someone who had only noticed the commotion from a distance then turned up to help Ryu Ito, who had been watching him, he grabbed Ryu's waist then spun around and caught the arrow right in his hand. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine," Ryu fell silent even though this man didn't help him he was able to catch the arrow like this man did. He was Prince Long Chen.

"Mr Princess why do cheating?" Princess Long joined Ryu Ito and her brother there.

"Are you three brothers in a previous life? Why do you always defend her who is clearly guilty, she insulted me as the Crown Princess and the host of this annual event, neither can you insult me like this! I'll report it to you with the witnesses behind me!" Wen Jia passed from that place with her other cousin sister.

Not long ago some servants who had not been caught by the other participants came towards Ryu. "Miss Ryu shot your arrows at us, so you can escape in this stage."

"But, I don't" Ryu now understood for what was too innocent and naive, if Jia did a sneaky way to escape he would take the opportunity of the benevolence of these servants to fight him. "All right, but I'm not gonna shoot you. Line up! I have to strap your backs with my colors!"

After finishing, Ryu returned with Princess Long while Prince Long Chen returned to the fighting area. While on the way Prince Long met with Hu Yazhu who apparently noticed the incident from a distance.

"You are so considerate of my future wife," Hu Yazhu smiled faintly as Prince Long passed by her. Long Chen did not expect that Ryu Ito was Commander Hu Yazhu's Wife Candidate because he knew that Hu Yazhu was deeply in love with dying to the late Princess Wen Yijin.

"You've forgotten Yijin? Before the sacred promise is tied between you, I still have a chance!" Long Chen left Hu Yazhu alone, he did not expect that he would have to go back to competing with the same person again.
