Episode 16 - Meridian Point

During that night Ryu Ito could not sleep, he now realized that Hu Yazhu was beginning to suspect him for one thing. But, there was something else implied in his mind at that time as to why Hu Yazhu had come in time after the assault of the bandits on Grandpa Asahi's Shop.

"I don't want to suspect him, he's a warlord. What's the motive for doing that?"

Ryu already did not want to think about it anymore, he was sure his best friend Hu Yazhu did not have any evil motives. In his previous life even though at that time Hu Yazhu did try hard to help King Wen Lei recover he did not fight the words of Consort Fan Hai regarding the interests of the State, even when he had the decree to marry Wen Jia in his previous life, he did just that.

It was unexpected that Consort Fan Hai's request to Hu Yazhu back then was just a trap for him for the man who cared deeply for Wen Yijin to be locked up during the execution of King Wen's murder and Wen Yijin to remember him did not appear to help the Crown Princess at the end of her life. Although Ryu now understands why he finally came back to life to the time where he had not entered the Palace but he still dismissed his thoughts because even so not necessarily he can change the destiny of his end of life.

The next day Ryu Ito was already preparing with his training clothes, today he was going to train his archery. Last night he also only realized that if he returned to the time before coming to the Palace, his meridians and vitality were not perfect enough.

"May I have the royal physician examine me?" Ryu Ito walked closer towards Hu Yazhu who was training twenty soldiers, he still tried to laugh at Hu Yazhu's feelings regarding the man's suspicions to her.

"Are you sick? I'll find the best healer!"

"I just wanted to check out my twelve meridians, after the bandit attack yesterday I felt pain at some point."

Hu Yazhu stepped closer and held onto Ryu Ito's arm, seeing that he felt worried as if there was a feeling of guilt in his eyes. But, Ryu can't carelessly guess because he's just a deceitful psychic he can't really read other people's minds or futures. Finally, Ryu could only lie to Hu Yazhu about some meridian points that hurt him because he also could not possibly tell that this was his second life right?

"I can check it!"

Ryu was speechless, he did not know what to answer when Hu Yazhu offered to check on him but it was impossible for him to refuse even more so Ryu knew that Hu Yazhu had also practiced alchemy. "Alright, I'll let you check some of my meridians."

Ryu Ito and Hu Yazhu then went to the pavilion, Ryu undressed aided by the two servants he got from the Aera Tribe rebellion. Ryu only wore a silk blanket which he wrapped around the body then sat cross-legged in front of Hu Yazhu who was ready to channel his energy into Ryu's body.

Ryu was just about to speak up by pointing out some meridian points that seemed to still bother him to recuperate. But, it was unexpected that Hu Yazhu knew very well some of the points that were having problems with just looking at him on Ryu's back left Hu Yazhu worried, he was just afraid that the bandit attack he had sent before was the one that injured Ryu this badly.

"Your hands are shaking," Ryu turned towards Hu Yahzu as he took a pointed pheonix hairpin under his pillow and pointed it at Hu Yazhu's neck vein.

"You sent those bandits ’haven't you?"

Hu Yazhu patted Ryu's arm then pushed him to the point of lying down. "Because you already know, I'll be frank as well. You're betraying the kingdom by being part of the Aera rebellion!" Hu Yazhu said this while grinning faintly in front of Ryu.

"Kamu salah paham!" Ryu mendorong Hu Yazhu kemudian duduk menghadap pria itu sembari mengeratkan selimut di tubuhnya.

"If I'm wrong, why is this necklace-" Hu Yazhu pulled the necklace that was on Ryu's neck made the woman come in interested and almost suffocated. "Is there in the Aera Tribe?" continued.

Even if she had no reason to, Ryu would not answer Hu Yazhu's question with the answer he wanted. "I'm just helping my friend sell, if you don't believe you can ask him!"

Hearing Ryu's reply, Hu Yazhu removed his hand from the family's heirloom then let out a long sigh while calming down. "Your thug guy?"

Ryu nodded twice, though, Hu Yazhu was known as the sparkling Swordsman Ruby not because it was an object related to his family but this was all because of his sword ability which was above the average of other royal warlords. Hu Yazhu stared at the pheonix hairpin that Ryu Ito was holding. Actually that thing that he wanted to see last night turned out to be an heirloom that he believed belonged to the Ryu Ito family. Surprisingly, the pheonix emblem reminded him of the Wen Kingdom.

"You're still hurting my family, even asking someone else to kidnap my sister. What punishment is appropriate for a man like you?"

"I'm guilty, punish me whatever you want to do. I just want to help you get your family through the royal dinner anyway I didn't hurt them."

"You traumatized Akira!"

"Grandfather knows my plan." Although it sounded quite unreasonable to Ryu, but what Hu Yazhu said was indeed true. The man had already talked to Asahi's grandfather about attacking the store to solve the banquet problem. Grandpa Asahi asks that no one tell Ryu because grandfather knows that the tempramental Ryu is still unstable so that it can lead to further disruption of the Ryu Ito spiritual realm.

Ryu Ito now felt like a fool, he even countered the bandits with all his might. Ryu felt awkward as suddenly Hu Yazhu stroked his head and smiled faintly. "It's okay, you're not stupid just to have a bad temper. That's what Grandpa Asahi asked me to tell you if you know the truth."

"I see your four meridian points are problematic, if allowed I will do acupuncture to help Miss Ryu recover. But before, if I may know if this is true because of the bandits yesterday?"

Ryu got up from his bed and turned back towards Hu Yazhu. "No need, it's because of something else sorry that I lied to you, you can leave here.

I also want to practice archery today because I heard Princess Jia will be organizing an archery race when the Continent Annual Event is held."
