Chapter 38. Prayer of the Persecuted.

One day, Mak Ipah was very ill, due to the lean season that hit Dadap Kulon village. Many crops died, rivers and springs dried up, and many livestock died from starvation.

At that time most of the people suffered from food shortages, so the famine struck the villagers. Sugandi felt sad to see his beloved grandmother suffering from pain, he said to his grandmother, saying,

"Mom, be patient! gandi wants to find a cure for ambu "

Mak Ipah said in a soft voice to Sugandi,

"Where do you want to find drugs or try? Already jang, do not bother nyari medicine to ambu, ambu mah later will also heal itself, the important thing is you do not get sick, how have you eaten ?"

Sugandi replied to Mak Ipah's words in a soft voice,

"Gandi has eaten ambu, the plan is Gandi want help to the brother of Sarpin, his father kang madani, Gandi heard that he is a healer in our village. Gandi Teh is known as Madani kang. Who knows if Madani's father will help us".

Mak Ipah smiled at his favorite grandson,

"Yes already if ujang did know well with the family of Sarpin's brother, easily2an alone he was willing to treat ambu, but ambu mah not too much hope, ".

Sugandi said again to mak ipah,

"Then, pamit gandi first yes ambu?  gandi will stop by first to the mother's shop. Gandhi wanted to ask his mother for help in order to be willing to guard the ambu when Gandi left".

Mak Ipah seems somewhat objected to sugandi's intention to see his mother. Mak Ipah is worried that Sugandi will be treated harshly by his mother, he said to Sugandi,

"No need to stop by your mom's shop! Just leave your own ambush here, you don't have to disturb your mother "

Despite being banned by her grandmother, Sugandi insisted on asking her mother for help,

"It's okay Ambu, Sugandi tried to talk first to mother, who knows he would help keep the ambu?  if you don't want to, Sugandi won't force you either."

Mak Ipah who heard Sugandi's words like that, finally just resigned. He knew that the surti nyi had a selfish nature, not caring for his own child and mother, all he cared about was pleasure for himself.

Mak Ipah also said surrender to Sugandi,

"Yes, it's up to you! but don't force your mother! "

Sugandi smiled at mak Ipah, then he went to his mother's stall.

Warung Nyi Surti is only 5 meters away from the house of mak Ipah. Sugandi was surprised when he got there, it turns out the stall is closed.

Because the stall is in closed condition, Sugandi went straight to the back door of the stall, without thinking for a long time he immediately opened the door of the stall which turned out not to be locked.

So surprised Sugandi when he opened the door of his stall, he saw Nyi Surti was doing perversion with a young village man, named Suraji. Suraji is the son of a master in Dadap Kulon village.

Feeling shocked, suddenly there was someone who caught him being perverted, Nyi Surti immediately pulled his clothes on the floor. But after he found out that the one who entered was Sugandi, Nyi Surti immediately went up. He immediately snapped at Sugandi who was still standing in a gawking state.

"Based on a brat!  don't have your tea manners, enter without knocking on the door first, Sugandi, !!! Come on out, !"

Sugandi panicked, he felt sad and disappointed with his mother's behavior, he came out. She was afraid of her mother's anger. Suraji who had begun to realize that the only one who caught him was Sugandi, immediately took his pants scattered on the floor. After putting on her dumpling pants, Suraji shouted loudly to Sugandi, saying,

"Hey boy where are you going? You come here first!  don't just shred you, come here!!!"

Sugandi who was snapped by Suraji turned back. He apologizes to Suraji and Nyi Surti,

"Sorry kang, I don't know if there's any akang here, "

Suraji, instead of easing from his anger, grew emotional after knowing that Sugandi had become weak to him. Without pity he directly hit Sugandi's face.

Spontaneously, Sugandi cried out in pain and continued to apologize,

"While !!! Sorry kang, I'm sorry sorry mom, gandi sorry"

Nyi Surti who felt that he had been disturbed by the presence of his son, immediately spat on Sugandi's face.

Sugandi was saddened to get rough treatment from his mother. Seeing that Nyi Surti was also rude to Sugandi, Suraji got more and more eager to beat Sugandi. He had ignited emotions at Sugandi. Suraji beat Sugandi repeatedly.

Sugandi fell to the ground, crying and screaming for mercy. But they don't care about it. Sugandi was crying, sad and disappointed with his mother's uncaring attitude towards him.

Seeing Sugandi crying and feeling pain, Nyi Surti instead of pity, just getting angry and continuing to rebuke his son.

Sugandi is no longer able to hold the sadness and anger in him, he also tried to fight back Suraji. But because Sugandi is still a teenager, he ended up being the months of Suraji.

The commotion was also heard by Mak Ipah who was lying sick. Mak Ipah tries to get out of his room and finds Sugandi being beaten by Suraji. He saw, Nyi Surti was standing with a smile at the incident, his clothes were also morat-marit half naked. Mak Ipah immediately blocks Suraji with his old body, while trying to wake Sugandi who has collapsed, while trying to wake him up,

"Hey stop! You stay away from my granddaughter!  look out for you, don't bother my granddaughter! let's get up gandi! get the fuck out of here! ".

Because he felt blocked, Suraji was angry with Mak Ipah, and immediately pushed mak Ipah to fall down, falling down,

"******* you're old! this is feel ! let all of you"

Because pushed hard by Suraji, mak Ipah was immediately knocked down with a bang, his head hit a tree trunk that was not far from the shop Nyi Surti. Mak Ipah immediately died with his head covered in blood. Suraji instead of regretting his actions that have killed Mak Ipah, instead of laughing, he was satisfied because he had vented his anger,

" Hahaha, ******you are old !"

Sugandi who saw his grandmother fall sprawled after being pushed by Suraji, immediately got up and approached mak Ipah. He hugged Mak Ipah and held his grandmother's head covered in blood. Sugandi was crying because he panicked to see the condition of his grandmother,

"Mom, wake up ! ambu, let's wake up !"

Because mak Ipah did not respond, Sugandi also shook the body of mak Ipah, and,

"buy wake, wake! don't leave the gandi alone here, wake up or ambu! "

Although it has been shaken in such a way, Mak Ipah still can not answer the splice Sugandi.

After Sugandi realized that his grandmother had indeed died tragically due to being persecuted by Suraji who became his mother's lover, Sugandi turned towards Suraji. He's angry not a bitch. His eyes were red, his body was trembling as well. Sugandi then directly hit Suraji to fall down, then immediately hit the face, head and stomp Suraji's stomach haphazardly,

"******* you Suraji! feel this vengeance! "

Sugandi has really become a scruffy. Now it is Suraji who has become the months of Sugandi's anger. Even though he tried to fight Sugandi, and tried to hit Sugandi back, Sugandi already did not care about him. Sugandi continued to beat Suraji ferociously.

The ill-fated young man finally died horribly. Seeing the incident, Nyi Surti felt afraid, he was worried about being persecuted by his son who was in awe. After killing Suraji, Sugandi turned around and stood facing his mother with eyes filled with hatred and anger,

"Mommy, the mother of tea is really selfish, even the mother does not care about her own parents, the person who has melted and cared for her mother, Gandi does not care if she hates Gandi,  but the mother has killed the mother's own parents, better the mother overtakes them to the afterlife ".

Nyi Surti who saw the anger of his son, his heart became afraid. He then shouted for help,

"Please! Help u! Sugandi trance, please help !"

Not long after, the citizens arrived. They found Suraji and Mak Ipah already in lifeless condition. They also witnessed Sugandi strangling Nyi Surti's neck.

The citizens who had misunderstood Sugandi, immediately tried to secure Sugandi. They besieged Sugandi, then mobbed Sugandi with various equipment such as wood and stone.

Sugandi tried to fight the citizens who wanted to paralyze him, but because of the large number of them, he finally managed to paralyze the citizens.

Sugandi fell down after being hit by a wooden blow by one of the residents who hit him from the back of the head. After falling to the ground, Sugandi was caught, then on a rope and pasung on a wooden pole in the middle of the village.

Many citizens watched it, even many of them spat at it and threw it with stones. Sugandi was feeling so sad and was also very angry. She is saddened by the fate of herself and her mother, who died tragically, and is furious at the attitude of her mother and the citizens who have hated her.

Although his body was hollow, his heart was filled with feelings of anger and resentment.

He complained in his heart why life was not so fair to him, what was his fault that he had to suffer, be treated harshly and be shown by his mother and the other villagers who always hated him.

Sugandi's condition was terrible, his sadness was exhausted, replaced with a feeling of resentment burning in his soul. But he was powerless to retaliate for the harsh treatment of the citizens.

Sugandi finally felt resigned that his life would end soon. In his resignation, he suddenly became aware of how great the pleasure of life was. In his heart began to be overcome with the desire to stay alive, even he wanted to live as a strong and powerful man, so that he would not be underestimated and persecuted again.

Then he asked DOA.

"Yes God!  if you really exist?  please help me, please don't turn me off first!  I want to live longer, I want to be strong and powerful, so that I am not insulted and underestimated by humans. They have persecuted me, I believe You are Most Just, please this Persecuted Servant!  My Lord, I want to avenge this pain of mine, to those who have hurt Me and My Grandmother".

After that he closed his eyes again, hoping to fall asleep and forget all the suffering of his life.
