Chapter 34. The New Bride

A few days after getting married, Dewi Sekar and Jaka someh went back on their way to find the Father and sister of Dewi Sekar who was said to be on Mount Tampomas. Early in the morning, they had set out toward Mount Tampomas using a favorite cow cart.

During the trip, they were spoiled by the view of green hills and the sound of the chirping of birds. But soon, after passing through a hill, they re-entered a village that looked dull and unkempt. Paddy fields and plantations that were once green now look dry and unkempt. The residents look shabby with unfriendly faces. Rona fear emanated on their faces.Fear when the village was back in the line by the gangs of sadistic criminals.Sedika they have no ability to fight. Therefore, he also intends to join the white warriors who are now gathering on Mount Tampomas. But his intention was only to keep it in his heart without him telling his wife. Jaka Someh was worried that Dewi Sekar would laugh at her intentions.

Dewi Sekar himself does not know much about Jaka Someh. For her, her husband was just a simple man who was independent and good, happy farming, happy to help, understood the science of medicine and also had a sincere and loving soul. Dewi Sekar did not know that her husband was actually a swordsman who had stirred the martial world.

By late afternoon the ox cart that Jaka Someh was driving had passed through a meadow bordering the dense forest. The last village that has been passed is about 20 km away. He's been riding his cow cart all day without rest. In the green-looking meadow, Jaka Someh decided to rest. Moreover, he saw on his right there was a clear river flow filled with rocks. The source of the river's springs came from the top of the mountain that seemed to rise before him. Jaka Someh said to Dewi Sekar,

“Nyai, how about we rest first here ? Let the cow can rest while eating grass, I also want to bathe first in the river, tonight God willing we will continue the journey “

Dewi Sekar nodded her head in approval of her husband's proposal, and she even said to Jaka Someh,

“I also want to shower ah kang! sultry taste “

Jaka Someh glad Dewi Sekar agreed to rest first,

“Oh yes already then, Nyai please shower first! so now I'm looking for grass first for the reserve of cow feed “

Dewi Sekar immediately went towards the river, while Jaka Someh went to a field that was covered with grass. After bathing and getting dressed, Dewi Sekar suddenly shouted to Jaka Someh,

“Kang, look there are many fish!  here kang fast!  Hurry along! “

“How to nyai ? Where's fish? Koq is invisible? Let me catch “.

Dewi Sekar pointed towards the river. Mata Jaka Someh also leads to the place designated by Dewi Sekar. But he could not see the fish pointed by Dewi Sekar. Out of curiosity he immediately leaned towards the river. Jaka Someh is so serious about looking for fish pointed by Dewi Sekar.

Without feeling his body becomes very inclined towards the water. Suddenly Dewi Sekar pushed Jaka Someh from behind. Gadzhe, byuur,

Jaka Someh plunged into the river. Dewi Sekar laughed to see Jaka Someh had splashed into the river water,

“ Hihihi happy shower ya kang! Take a shower with the fish!  “

Dewi Sekar laughed winked at the jaka Someh who still looked shocked because splashed into the river.

After realizing that he was being worked on by his own wife who turned out to have a prank nature, Jaka someh laughed, laughing at himself who was exposed to the trick of Dewi Sekar, who was not involved in the crime,  he also replied to Dewi Sekar by splashing river water towards his wife. Dewi Sekar immediately ran away from the river while laughing out loud.

While bathing, Jaka someh tried to find fish in the river. After being patient for a long time, he finally saw a fish that was quite large. With a little concentration Jaka someh caught the fish with his hands. The fish was caught. Jaka Someh then kept the fish by the river, and continued bathing again until he was satisfied.

After bathing, Jaka Someh then cooked rice and grilled fish that had been seasoned with onions, chili and tomatoes. After they matured, they ate together greedily while chatting and occasionally joking.
