Jaka Someh's

Chapters 14. Struggling With The Thugs.

That day Jaka Someh prepared to leave for Kota to sell his clove harvest. Since morning he has been busy putting sacks containing cloves into his cow cart. When he finished, he went to the well behind the house, to take a bath. Then Jaka Someh breakfast accompanied by Mr. Rohadi and the widow. Occasionally Jaka Someh feeds Jalu. Asih is still busy in her room to dress up. After finishing dressing Asih out to meet Jaka Someh and his father. Her face was so flowery. Jaka Someh saw the change of his wife who now seemed more cheerful, but he did not suspect in the least, if his wife flowered because she had met her old lover again. Asih joined Jaka Someh and Pak Rohadi for breakfast.

After breakfast, Jaka Someh said goodbye to Mr. Rohadi and his wife,

“Mr, Nyai, I go first huh !“

Asih just laughed a little, in his heart he was happy with the departure of Jaka Someh, then said to jaka someh, saying,

“Ya kang, Akang be careful on the road ya ! “

Jaka Someh smiled as he said,

“Thank you Nyai “

Jaka Someh hugged and kissed Jalu as a sign of goodbye to the boy. Not to forget he also greeted Mr. Rohadi and Asih.

Finally without saying much more, Jaka someh immediately boarded his cow cart and set out to leave Pak Rohadi, the shy and Asih.

The journey to the port of Ratu takes about 3 days using a cart. Although far away, but Jaka Someh feel happy to be able to make the trip. This is the first time Jaka Someh has traveled far enough from his village. He was so obsessed with the beauty of nature and the diversity of the people in the various regions he passed.

Without feeling it had been two days Jaka Someh walked with his wagon. He is now on the south coast. Jaka Someh decided to take a break while enjoying the beach view.

The waves of the south coast rumbled, the waves were so big and rolling with the waves. After being satisfied to rest, Jaka Someh again continued his journey to Pelabuhan Ratu.

Day three, Jaka Someh has arrived at Pelabuhan Ratu. There are a lot of people passing by. Everyone seems to be busy with their own business. Many people are loading and unloading from medium-sized boats. In the northern part of the port there are warehouses and shops belonging to the tauke. Jaka Someh runs his wagon slowly, going around looking for a babah along shop. It did not take long, he had managed to find the babah along store, too,

“Excuse me is this babah along shop?”

A narrow-eyed tauke meets Jaka Someh,

“Hayya, right this oe shop, loe who person? what is it ?” the tauke said,

“I Jaka Someh bah, I am his daughter-in-law Mr. Rohadi from Cikaret” village said Jaka Someh,

“oe, oe, it turns out loe people are from the village of Cikaret hah? how is Mr Rohadi?”

“Alhamdulillah, he is in good condition Bah, He also sends greetings to Babah Along “ Jaka Someh replied,

“Hehehe, Thank You “ Said Babah Along.

After that Jaka Someh chatted a lot with babah along, before making clove buying and selling transactions.

Babah along is a kind and friendly tauke. He also serves drinks to Jaka Someh as a banquet to honor guests who come from far away.

From Babah along also Jaka Someh know that these cloves will later be sold again to the company and then brought to Europe. The cloves will be shipped to the Netherlands far from the land of Java.

After getting tired of the ngalor kidul, Jaka Someh finally offered his cloves to babah along,

“How bah, babah will buy at what price?” jaka Someh.

Babah along replied

“Hayya, if you give the price of 5 pieces per kilo huh! that's already a good price lo, you people can ask around here!  surely there is no better price than oe “ said babah along.

Jaka Someh actually wanted to sell it directly to Babah Along, but because of his high curiosity he also held back his transaction first,

“Ya already orah bah, then I try to ask first to another store, Can it bah ? “

Babah along laughed,

”Hayya loe people are good at trading too hah, it's okay, you people please ask questions first to the shops in addition to have oe “ said babah along with his friendliness.

Jaka Someh actually already felt fit with babah along, but his curiosity about the prices in other stores, prevented him from directly selling his cloves to Babah Along.  Jaka Someh wants to survey the prices in other stores first. As he prepared to set out to survey the price, Babah Along suddenly told Jaka Someh,

“Hayya, you must be careful if you wonder later!  in the harbor here are a lot of thugs, they are all black dragon gang boys, bad guys ha! hence oe remind so that you people do not make trouble with them, you can die hah!”

Jaka Someh thanked him with the warning given by Babah along to him,

“Iya bah, thanks for the advice, I also do not want to make trouble with others or bah, I am here just want to trade”.

Babah Along said, Just,

“Iya, yes good good “

Jaka Someh then set off, touring around the harbor area to offer his merchandise.

It turns out that the price offered by Babah along is the best price for Jaka Someh. The average price offered by others is very cheap compared to the price of babah along.

Jaka Someh walked into a shop located at the end of the harbor, where he saw a sour-looking man approaching Jaka Someh. The mustache is thick and looks fierce. His name was Ocin. He was one of the sons of Babah Liong, a leader of the Black Dragon thug group. At that time Ocin was getting a turn to guard the store.

Ocin said ketus to Jaka Someh,

Jaka Someh smiled at Ocin. He kindly said,

“Excuse me mang, Sorry I want to offer my cloves, maybe mamang need?”

Ocin still said ketus to Jaka Someh, though,

“How much price do you want to sell?”

Jaka Someh still replied politely, though,

“Sorry mang, the price is only 7 pieces per kilo, are you interested?”

Mang Ocin turned red, upset by the price offered by Jaka Someh. With a tinge of emotion he said loudly to Jaka Someh,

“What are you!  if you offer goods, it is very expensive!  tell you what, you I give you 3 pieces per kilo, no more bargaining, if indeed you want to survive out of here, accept my offer ! “.

Mang Ocin threatened Jaka Someh.

Jaka Someh was shocked to get a threat from Mang Ocin. But he still tried to stay calm.

“Sorry Mang, can't! yes already if Mamang is not interested, it's okay, please excuse me ! “

Mang Ocin instead of softening it increases emotions,

“Eh ****** you, village policy, dare to underestimate Ocin, want to find things apparently you “ said Mang Ocin threatened

Jaka Someh felt offended by Ocin's harsh words to him, then said,

“Sabar or mang, do not need emotions so, Do not threaten everything, If mamang does not match the price I offer ya no need to buy, do not need to buy,  let me sell to other places just”.

Mang Ocin grew more and more emotional hearing the casual words of Jaka Someh, no impression of fearing him, no,

“Haram prison! you want to mess with Ocin?, laughing so much, you don't know who you're dealing with? I am Ocin, a member of the Black Dragon thugs, the ruler of this port!” mang ocin said pride himself.

Jaka Someh did not know that Mang Ocin was one of the Black Dragon thugs led by Babah Liong. Being reluctant to serve the emotional Ocin man, Jaka Someh intends to leave the place immediately while apologizing,

“Maap oruh mang! I don't mean to play around with mamang! I'm just here to trade, sorry, excuse me ! “

Mang Ocin became increasingly emotional, he called some of his friends to block Jaka Someh out of his shop,

Kanta retreated from the fighting arena while grimacing in pain.

Mang Ocin who looked at his three friends defeated Jaka Someh easily, became shocked, his face pale with fear. Shamelessly he knelt down apologizing to Jaka Someh, the,

“Douh, kang I asked maap, please do not want me! I promise I won't bother you again “

Jaka Someh who saw Ocin was terrified, said firmly to him, saying,

“Oke mang, this time I wish, but mamang must not repeat evil deeds again!  whether to me or to others, how can it be? “.

The terrified man ocin immediately responded,

“Iya kang, I promise, I won't disturb akang again “

Jaka Someh prepared Ocin and immediately left the place. He went back to Babah Along's shop, to sell his cloves.

While Ocin, after leaving Jaka Someh, immediately asked his men to help lift Oman and uben unconscious.  They were laid on the floor in the shop.

Just a few moments later, came a narrow-bodied young man. That young man was Akuan one of the main disciples of Babah Liong.  I have a high silat science. So that it became one of the mainstays of the Liong babah.

When Akuan saw Oman and uben in unconscious condition, he asked Ocin, saying,

“Ocin, this is APA huh, ? Why do Oman and uben faint?”

Ocin, who was afraid of Akuan, immediately recounted their fight with Jaka Someh.

Akuan and his gang members had already arrived at the babah along shop.  One of the gang members who had witnessed Jaka Someh's fight with his gang members, pointed directly at Jaka Someh who was busy chatting with babah along.

“That's it sir!  “ said.

I immediately approached Jaka Someh, followed by his men.

I said to Jaka Someh while brandishing his sword,

Jaka Someh tries to calm the emotional Akuan

Jaka Someh immediately grabbed the sword of akuan before it fell to the ground, while his foot kicked slowly into the section ******* akuan, aka,  Iuan spontaneously put his hands together to resist the kick of Jaka Someh which leads to the vital part of his body.

Once again I was shocked, when he was bothering to hold Jaka's kick with both hands, suddenly his sword was seized by Jaka Someh and stuck right in the heart. Just a moment when Akuan was dying, Fresh's blood spurted profusely from the wound on his left chest. Not long after that, he fell down. He was killed while both of his hands were holding his sword, which was stuck in his body.

Jaka Someh retreated and faced Akuan's men. They looked frightened to see Jaka someh. Jaka Someh said to them. His face looks sad.

“Akang-akang all, please his body This sir is taken care of immediately! please convey my wish to his family, I have no intention to kill him, I feel sorry about this incident “

My men swiftly carried the body of the deceased Akuan, to be brought to their headquarters.
