Jaka Someh's

Jaka Someh's
Chapter 28. Cow Cart For Travel.

That morning Jaka Someh went to a village that was not so far from the hill he occupied. The goal is to buy a cow and its cart. He took his savings, which he had given Mr. Rohadi, his former father-in-law.  All this time he kept the money in a small wooden crate. After being bought a cow and a cart, the money was still half.

In the afternoon, Jaka Someh immediately modified his wagon, by giving him a roof of woven betel leaves so that Dewi Sekar felt comfortable under it. The base is also given a kind of thin cotton mattress.

Jaka Someh immediately loaded the supplies into his cart, there was a portable cooking stove made of dried clay, there was a pan of metal material he made himself, there were dishes and others. Jaka Someh also contains several sacks of corn seeds, rice, tubers, fruits and a variety of durable vegetables, such as cucumbers, nuts`, chilies, onions, and red onions,  tomatoes even some coconut grains. Everything came from the fields he managed.

Seeing the preparation of Jaka Someh in such a way, Dewi Sekar laughed, he felt astonished and amazed by the jaka Someh which he considered full of earnestness. In a joking tone, Dewi Sekar said to Jaka Someh,

“Ag Akang! where will the tea go, ? A lot of koq?  “

Jaka Someh smiled at the words of Dewi Sekar

“Hey right we're going to go far away! hehehe, who knows later it can be sold, it is enough for marriage capital akang, it may be later in the journey akang find women who want to marry the same akang, hehe“

Dewi Sekar smiled at Jaka Someh's joke.

The next day, after dawn, they immediately set off, leading to the town of Sumedang Larang. It is estimated that the journey will take about 3 to 4 days using a cow cart.

Jaka Someh so enjoyed his trip this time, it has been almost two years he did not travel because he chose to settle on a hill that he now occupies. That day he felt happy to get the opportunity to travel again, even though it was just to take Dewi Sekar Harum to his parents' house.

During the trip Jaka Someh more silent. His gaze focused more on the street in front of him. Only occasionally did he observe the state of Dewi Sekar, because he was worried if Dewi Sekar felt uncomfortable with his journey.

By noon, they rest, even if only for a short time. They ate, letting the cow eat the grass. Jaka someh then dhuhur prayers are steeped with ashar. After getting enough rest, they resumed their journey until it looked dark.

They had to stay in a field on the edge of the forest. They did not know that behind the greatness of the trees there was a small village.

Jaka Someh made a bonfire in that place. He burned Corn as a dinner menu. While waiting for the grilled corn to mature, Jaka Someh took the time to talk with Dewi Sekar. Jaka Someh asked about the state of Dewi Sekar,

“How's Nyai?  still strong right to enjoy the trip?”.

Dewi Sekar smiled then answered Jaka Someh's question,

“ Yes Kang Someh. Thank God I am still healthy, just a little tired just “.

Jaka Someh nodded his head, although there was an awkward feeling he forced himself to smile kindly to Dewi Sekar, who was not a girl,

“Alhamdulillah oruh if Nyai still strong mah, yes already now mah Nyai rest first after finishing eating later! “.
