Find Me in 1000 Years
Travelling With Lucille

"out?" Ken frowned.

"Yes." Yeah."

"But it must have been a night, boss."

"Yesterday you went with Bing."

"But it's because of an urgent need, boss. I don't have a change of clothes, so I'm forced to buy."

"So you won't accompany me?"

The woman's words were not pushy but rejecting them seemed outrageous.

The man became confused. "Any boss wants to be bought? Shouldn't you go with a fellow woman?"

"Everybody works all day, only you don't. When you don't want to help? You can ride the bike, right?"

"Eh, yes, Boss."

"Well, why not?"

Not to help but to be reluctant. But Ken can't say it. He scratched his head.

"Can't you?"

"Eh, yes," said the skinny man slowly.

"Yes, already. See you later, okay?" The woman left him.

The man was astonished. Though usually the woman is more comfortable going with fellow women than with him. Not impossible but their brief introduction made Ken doubtful, is there anything else the woman wanted to talk about that one should not know? Not because of her crush, is it?

He brushed off the feeling even though the possibility existed. Especially in his life history and remembering the curse. Sometimes Ken feels himself overreacting when he is close to a woman, considering Lucille is very beautiful. There's no way that woman likes him.

"Bill! You're not going anywhere tonight, Bill?" Anita visited the bule man who was about to enter his caravan.

"Oh, I already have a plan, sorry," the Italian said as he turned his body.

The woman scowled. "Once in a while, I want to go for a Sunday night walk like this. Come on, Bill's gone with me" persuaded Anita who was stroking the little green snake in hand.

"Oh, why don't you go with the others?"

"Sinna, Sin Hye, Jin Li, Costa and Lisa?" That's a group of young people. If we are different. We're a serious troupe." Anita said the last sentence blushing. Her short wavy hair was golden brown, strengthening her bulen face.

"I'm sorry, but I really made a plan."

Anita returned. "Yes already." It's moving away.

The man took a long breath. He actually could not bear but Anita always looking for a way to approach him when he had rejected it many times.

Anita is a good woman, but she must also realize that Bill has no feelings for her. It seems that the woman was unconscious as well. After the woman moved away, the man then slipped away.

Elsewhere, Lucille helps Ken close the popcorn and kola booth.

"Eh, already, Boss. I can do it myself." Ken put the plastic cups together in storage.

"It's okay. Both work faster. Than alone, it's too late for the night."

Ken was forced to accept the help of his boss. Bob, the dwarf man finally comes and takes over the place so Lucille and Ken can go first.

"Where are you going?" The woman holds Ken back to Bill's caravan.

"I want to tell Mr. Bill, I'm leaving."

"No need. We'll just be a minute."

"But ...."

"That's it, it's okay. 'And you went with me."

"But it doesn't taste good ...."

"Let me say it later." Lucille clasped Ken's wrist. "I got the keys to the bike anyway." Lucille showed the key while moving it in her hand. "Come on!"

"Where are we going?" ask Ken who started sitting in front. Lucille immediately hugged him making the young man startled. It's nothing, the bike is not on the road yet.

" We just go around in circles. I'm bored at the circus. I want to feel the outside world without a circus, just for a second."

Ken also heard it. "Ok, let's go around." He started running his motor.

The motorbike began to enter the city, splitting the highway which is still crowded with vehicles, then circling in the shopping area.

"Why are we just going around in circles here?" ask the woman.

"Mmh, I'm sorry, but I actually don't know the way. I was only brought here yesterday, just like Bing."

"Oh, sorry. I forgot that you're not a citizen of this town. Sorry." Lucille patted the man on the shoulder while laughing.

"Eh, it's okay."

"Try us to the cafe."

Ken pulled over at a cafe that the woman had appointed. Lucille chose to sit near the door with a glass wall. "What do you want, I buy. Pie maybe?"

"Eh, no. I'll just have a drink. What about a warm cappuccino?"

Lucille still offers the others. "What about cake? Or croissant bread?"

"No, thank you."

The woman scowled spoiled, then smiled. "Alright, warm cappuccino."

A little strange to Ken but he doesn't want to think. Then the woman ordered drinks and food. After that he looked at the man with his chin propped up on the table.

Ken felt uncomfortable, then made a quick decision. "It's been too late, after this we just go home."

"May," said the woman without protest making what happened next only awkwardness. The woman was still staring at Ken's face.

"Mmh, what's up, boss?" The man could not stand it and finally spoke.

"Don't call me boss here. Just call my name."

The man was a little confused by the woman's request but then he cleared his throat for a while. "Eh, yes, Lucille."

The woman smiled gently. "It's hard, being the boss of a big circus owner like me." He started talking about himself. "You will be charged with the responsibility of managing the circus as best you can."

"Mmh, that's what it's supposed to be?"

Lucille glanced at the face of the man in front of her back. "Now what do you see about me, Ken?"

"Me?" Ken was confused to answer. "What do you mean?" He knitted his eyebrows.

"You must've seen me as a big circus leader, right?"

"Lho, what else is it?"

"I'm just an ordinary woman who even my age might be the same as you."

The eyesball confused the man, started to move watching the figure of the woman in front of him. Yes, the woman is young. Still very young. Ken who had returned to his original form also felt the same age as him, but from the way he spoke, it was as if the woman was unhappy with his achievements all in her youth. "You're not happy?"

"It's an inheritance, Ken. I saw the circus was born and I actually wanted to do something other than the circus but couldn't. My parents' son, it's just me."

"Thank you for what you got. I don't even have anything to be proud of. Not even my parents left me anything but to fend for myself with what I want."

The woman fell silent. The drink came until the waiter left. "You're right." Lucille started scooping the berry pie on the plate in front. "I should probably compare myself to those who have nothing."

The man started sipping his cappucino.

"Ken, will you be my girlfriend?"

At that moment, the man choked and coughed.
