Strategize Love

Ken was invited to a special male dinner in a room that was the King's workroom. There, Raja, Ejiro, Ken and Prince Siau Yang had dinner while chatting together. With a small table in front of each one, the King sat in the middle, to the left of Siau Yang, to the right of Ejiro and Ken beside him. They sat on the floor cross-legged.

King laughs. "So you're closer to Mi La, huh, than Ejiro?" ask Ken. He bribed the side dish with his chopsticks slowly.

"Yes, because we grew up together. Mi La was even with me when Ejiro told me the news of this engagement and took her away" Ken said.

"Oh, you guys live together?"

Just now, the Japanese man wanted to talk, Ejiro immediately cut him off. "Oh, no. Mi La happens to be playing to her friend's house and meets Ken there. Mi La used to be found in an orphanage. I'm his half-brother, but Ken, he's just a big brother in an orphanage." Brother Mira tried to make her sister's good name stay awake by talking like that.

"But he said, raised together. Is that really so? That means until teenagers are like that, right?" The king asked Ken.

Of course, Ejiro again scowled. He spoke but Ken who was asked made the short-haired man smile while glancing at Big Brother Mira.

"Eh, right. Ejiro has only been getting to know his sister for a few years now and bringing her to live together." Ken also tried to be neutral. He does not want to drop the former samurai's good name, because after all, Ejiro is Mira's brother.

"Mmh, it's lucky that Mi La yes, has people around her who pay so much attention to her. May the marriage go well." The king raised his cup of tea.

"Yes ..I as her future husband feel very lucky to be betrothed to a beautiful woman and get acquainted with these good brothers. Let's toast" said the prince, who also lifted his cup of tea. Ejiro and Ken followed, then drank it together.

After dinner, Mira's stepbrother invites Ken to talk in his room. The Japanese agreed. By passing through a long corridor, they finally reached Ejiro's room. Once inside, the former samurai instantly closed the door. He pulled the collar of Ken's kimono shirt roughly and pushed the man against the wall.

Ken tried to calm down. "Why are you so mad at me, brother?"

"Who wants to be your brother, heh!" snapped Ejiro growled. "I've explained to you over and over again, stay away from Mira!"

"Oh, is that why you got her married? She doesn't know who the prince is, why would you marry Mira to that man?" ken protest is slow.

"What is your business! Mira is my sister, so you don't have to interfere!" Ejiro's blood seemed to boil every time he spoke to the man now.

"Just because you're her brother, you have to ask her before you marry her. Mira doesn't seem to like the guy" Ken explained.

"I said, it's none of your business! You're just a friend who happens to be close doesn't mean you can manage me! You're totally someone else to him."

"That's true but you're the same as me. You're not Mira. Only he can make his life choice." The Japanese man tried to understand.

"With you? Heh!" The long haired man scoffed. "I won't let my sister's life be spent hanging loosely for the rest of her life. He should be happy."

"But I see, he's not happy at the moment. What does happiness mean to you? By seeing her get married? How about ...." Not finished Ken spoke, the former samurai clasped his neck, firmly. Ejiro looked at the Japanese man sharply.

"Aghhh!" Ken was just trying to keep him from suffocating by holding the man's hand.

"Never try to influence me, because I hate your bullshit! I'd rather you leave this place before Mira's wedding tomorrow! Or if you keep pushing on, don't ever think you can screw up this wedding or you'll be dealing with me! Understood?" The former samurai tried to control his emotions by not shouting loudly, for fear of sounding out of the room.

"Hagh .. hagh!" Ken couldn't speak because his neck was still gripped by the man.

Ejiro immediately let go and pulled the rough Japanese man towards the door. Ken finally came out with a little push. He was not angry and just tidied up his clothes. However, he must be close to the former samurai if he wants to be with Mira. Ejiro is also his friend even though he does not understand, why recently the man forbade him to be close to his sister.

After asking permission from the lady-in-waiting, the prince entered. Mira, sitting on a cushion on the floor, had been waiting for the man to be accompanied by his new pet, a dog from Ken.

"Mi La, do you like that dog?" sahut Siau Yang while sitting in front of the young woman. "If you knew you liked a pet like that, I would have bought it earlier than your foster brother, Ken." Siau Yang looked at the large dog with a smile, but the dog barked loudly making the man surprised and retreated backwards.

"Gojo, don't be," Mira scolds the dog. The dog is silent.

"Oh, he already knows his master. A clever dog." But no doubt made the prince afraid to come closer.

"What's the matter, brother, the nights coming here?"

"Eh, look, honey. Before you get married, I want you to choose the clothes and jewelry you're going to wear and I leave it all to you. I'm just following your will, honey. If you like all the jewelry brought, I don't mind either. You can take everything." The man then told a servant to bring Mira, the goods that his guards were carrying.

The dog looked at the window. He could smell someone he knew in the window, but he was not alone. Yeah, there's Ken in the window. He managed to get close to Mira's residence which was heavily guarded by several bodyguards in front of her.

As the man was sneaking peeking out of the window, a hand pulled his kimono collar back. "G ...."

Ejiro's face was on it with a sour look. "You are this ... I've told you many times not to approach Mira, you're still a wayward huh?" whispered furious.

"Eh, listen to me. I'm not getting close. I'm just peeking at what's going on" Ken said.

"And I don't want to hear your excuses, okay?" The former samurai dragged the Japanese man away from the place. "Go back to your room or I'll drive you right now" said Ejiro.

Ken had to follow where he was taken. He was dragged back to the room. The man could then just lie on the bed. He was thinking of a way to talk alone with Mira.

That morning, Mira was dressed beautifully in her room, but her face looked sad. He was silent when dressed by palace ladies. But he seems to be unable to stand it. Her tears were about to fall until she went to the window.

"Miss, we haven't finished decorating you yet" said one of the ladies-in-waiting.

"Please, I want to be alone. Give me a minute to breathe" Mira said, looking at the open window covered in thin curtains.

The ladies finally withdrew. They all went out and waited for orders from the woman again. Mira was shocked when someone revealed the curtain to the side. A man appeared from the side of the window.

"Sir Ken?" The woman hurriedly wiped her tears and dodged, but Ken's hands swiftly grabbed her arms.

"Mira, wait!"
