Ken felt like he couldn't stand straight. At first he thought he was dizzy and was about to faint until the sound of the building shook.
"Sir, earthquake!" The long-haired girl jumped towards the man and hugged him.
"Let's go to the road. Don't go near any buildings."
As the two stepped onto the road, some vehicles stopped to see a great shock on the road. So amazing, there was a sound like a broken object in some places.
Many came out running from their homes and looked at the buildings around each other. Suddenly not far from there, there was a road that broke and cracked until the sidewalk went up. In some places it happens like this.
"Geez, this is a big earthquake, this is," Ken commented seeing the phenomenon occurring.
"And the nights when people want to sleep," added Mira.
The earthquake has not stopped. Not far from them, there was a crack in the asphalt that made not only both of them shocked, but the motorists also panicked. The problem is, there is a crack that suddenly appears, making a car collapse into the ground. Another car was already tilted because the asphalt on the side wheels had collapsed.
The car that collapsed was not so deep that many helped the rider out of it, but the car that was tilted had to be crowded pulled in order to pull the floating wheel into the road.
The earthquake stops but does not mean it ends because there are usually aftershocks.
Ken looked at the girl. "How's this? I can't leave you alone here."
"I don't know, brother, how should I."
The man was confused too. He could not call because his phone was not connected to anyone. "Or how about we go to Ejiro's? At least we can check it out, too."
Mira nodded. He was back in Ken riding a motorcycle while telling directions. Half way back, the earthquake happened. This earthquake was still strong until the motor stopped and pulled over.
There was an apartment building right in front of them suddenly collapsed in part.
"Mira!" The man pulled the girl away. Almost they were hit by fragments of debris, but Ken's motorbike was no doubt hit by wall rubble.
Not long after, after broken glass and debris fell back. Both of them moved back away because of the fall of the debris in any direction. Moreover, the apartment was quite high.
"Sister, how's this?" mira asked confusedly. No doubt they can not use the motor because it is badly damaged, even though the intended place is still far away.
The man did not know how to do it either. "Are we just waiting here, let's look at the situation. It seems like driving is just as dangerous."
Mira sighed softly. In this slightly cold night air, they would have to wait outside, as waiting inside the building anywhere was just as dangerous.
"Mira, are you sleepy?" Ken took off his Jeans jacket and put it on the girl's shoulder. "The night is getting cold. Wear it!"
Suddenly we heard a scream. "Please, help us!" The sound came from the ruins of the apartment.
Some people who were near the building hesitated to approach, because the earthquake was still felt. So did Ken and Mira. The earthquake subsided, but no one dared to approach the apartment because the building collapsed at the top. Crushed in the middle until the top comes down and looks tilted.
Some of those who were inside the building were running out, but who were stuck at the top, they were confused. One of them opened the window and shouted for help.
"Please!"
The people below looked up. They do not know how to help those in the sloping building, which could collapse at any moment in the next earthquake.
"How is it?" Ken hesitated and looked at Mira. He wants to help them. "May I use my powers here?"
For a moment the girl was silent. "Son Ken had to disguise it so it wouldn't be so noticeable."
The medical student was confused. Shortly after the earthquake returned. This time it was worse than it was. At that time the apartment got a great shake back, making the fault of the upper building again shifted.
"Please! Help us!" The man shouted from above.
The building above the apartment moved down and was about to fall. That's when Ken concentrated. He saw the building above the apartment fall down.
The people below were running away. Run as far as possible, because you do not want to be hit by fragments of buildings that may fall hundreds of meters forward, due to the building that crashed very hard to the ground.
"Sir Ken!" the girl shouted, but seeing that the man was concentrating, she boldly stood beside him.
The building above the apartment came down not quickly like a leaf lightly descending. The building landed on the ground intact.
Of course the one who saw the incident gawked. The building should have fallen quickly and been badly damaged, but it didn't. The building came down safely so many cheered in excitement. The closest one can go down easily, while the far one is forced to climb down with the help of others.
It's really incredible. Some consider it a miracle, some feel helped by ghosts, but their faces imply happiness. No one was trying to figure it out because the earthquake was still shaking the city.
"Come, Brother." Mira pulls Ken's hand away. He did not want anyone to suspect the man for not going away as the building slid down. "How about we go to Ejiro's place on foot? It's not safe to just stop in one place."
He saw the man sweating. Maybe because of concentrating until Ken is exhausted. Mira pulled the sleeve of the jeans jacket she was wearing to wipe the man's forehead.
"Eh, no, Mira." The man held the girl's hand. The last time the girl touched her head, her heart was beating. "Mh, I'm hungry."
Both giggle.
"Come, let's go get some food," Mira asked.
The two then continued their steps. Not far from there is a small burger restaurant whose front windshield broke. A fat man wearing an apron stood in front of him and noticed the broken glass. The lights in the restaurant are still on.
"Is the restaurant still open?" ken asked because there was no one there but the man.
"Oh, want to eat? Wait a minute, I'm cleaning up this shard of glass."
Ken then helped the fat man by getting rid of the large glass shards.
"thank you. What do you want to order?"
"Cheese burger and potatoes, sir. Two, with a cola," said Mira again.
Suddenly the earthquake shook again.
"Ah, we go out first," said the bule man as he hurriedly ran out. Ken and Mira followed him. The road is back cracked.
Not in the wind, the cracks follow them. Ken who saw that, pushed Mira aside and rightly guessed it, the crack followed him. He moved away from the fat man and the crack continued to follow.
"Sir Ken!" the surprised Mira shouted but it could not help the Japanese man. Quickly the crack then got the man. Ken fell into a crack and he looked down. The cracks were far and endless.
