That morning Ken woke up first. At the top of his body was still attached to little Miyuki who was sleeping on her stomach peacefully. He looked to the side and his wife was still asleep. He is afraid to move, afraid to wake the child when too much movement, until he stretches his muscles in place while yawning.
"Hou ...." The man rubbed his eyes while looking around. It seemed like it was morning because it saw a beam of light entering the room through the sidelines of the curtains in the window of the hotel room.
"Mirror." Ken had to wake his wife because her throat was dry.
"Mmh?" The woman woke up narrowing her already small eyes. Her hair was long, stretched to the side of the pillow. "Why, Honey?"
"Please, I want to drink."
The woman then tried to sit while looking around. The room was slightly dimmed as only one lamp sitting on the nightstand was turned on. While from the curtains there is a bias of incoming rays. He checked the clock on the nightstand. "Oh still, morning."
He stretched his hands while yawning and stood up. Mira took the bottled mineral water from the small refrigerator on the table and handed it to her husband.
The man had to sit down. Miyuki retrieved Mira in a semi-conscious state. The little girl whined because she was still sleepy. The woman tried to hold him by hugging him. The little one went back to sleep.
After drinking a few sips, Ken closed the bottle. "Where do you want breakfast? What room is outside?"
"Outside, let Miyuki get up."
The man laughed. "Yes, yeah. I don't know why he likes crowds."
Soon the two had moved to the first floor of the hotel and dined near the pool. From where they sat, they could see the pool through the half-open glass door.
Breakfast was a lot too. In addition to local residents, foreigners are also guests there. Miyuki had already opened her eyes even though it was still in Mira's lap and was leaning lazily on her mother's body. He was watching some hotel guests swimming in the pool. "Papa, Miyuki wants to swim with Papa," she asked spoiled.
"Mmh, okay, but eat first?"
"Mc ...." The little girl curled her lower lips in sulking.
"Eat first, otherwise Papa doesn't want to accompany you to swim." He saw again the face of the little one who halfheartedly heard his request.
Ken tried to feed a piece of omelette into the little girl's mouth and she tried to eat it. "Smart son of Papa!Come on, eat a lot so you can swim a long time."
The little girl ate every mouthful of Ken without saying much. But with a flat face as if he wanted to protest but did not dare.
Mira finished her breakfast first, but they did not expect, someone they knew came to visit.
"Hello, everybody." The man's words were short, dense, but not expected. Because his arrival always brings trouble. Miyuki just gave the man a hostile face. Not dislike, because the man often spoiled him, but every time he came, his father must have been forced to leave.
"Hey, my little girl!" call Ejiro to Miyuki. He rubbed the little girl's head gently. The man comes with short hair in a shirt and trousers like any other man in general. He began to learn to adapt.
"Oh, Brother. Please sit down." Ken pulled out a chair for the man.
Ejiro sat down while holding his chair to the table. "Sorry, yes, annoying."
"Oh, no. Do you want breakfast first?"
"Yes, I actually want breakfast. Mmh ...." The man glanced at Ken. "Let's go with me to get breakfast."
Ken glanced at his wife. Both know, Ken must have got a new assignment. The man followed Mira's brother to the food collection. "What's up, brother?" They were standing in front of the salad table.
Ejiro picked up the plate and chose his meal. "There seems to be a new troublemaker but it's still unknown who. He can move dimensions like you."
"really? But a trace of his mess?"
"That's what confuses me. I thought this must be a demi-god but he can also be magic."
"You mean she's a witch?"
Ejiro. "I don't know, that's why I'm asking you to investigate. This man sent to an age where my brothers were still alive, paper men."
"Paper man?" Ken frowned. He had only heard this time that such a creature existed.
"Yes, paper man. Really paper. So if you look from the side, they're just a piece of paper, but from the front they're cartoon humans. These creatures were taken from story books or comics and all that could do that was witches. They are the comic characters of today. Therefore, I suspect that another demigod has just appeared now."
"Why now?""
"Of course."
For some reason, the minds of both are focused on the same person who feels impossible. Lucille, but she's long dead.
"Do you know what I'm thinking?" ask Ken again.
"Lucille, right?"
"of course. I burned his body to ashes."
"Are you sure?"
"Of course!" ejiro sewot.
"So she probably has friends."
The older brother thought for a moment. "Maybe." He then took a glass filled with orange juice. "Therefore I ask you to leave immediately."
The two of them stepped towards Ken's table. Mira and Miyuki noticed them.
"Mmh, then, I'll take Mira and Miyuki. Take them home."
"OK."
"Oh, yeah. The crystal ball," said Ken, who thrust his hand.
"You left your crystal ball again?" Ejiro scowled in annoyance.
"I'm going out with my family, brother."
"And you left the company?"
"Well, because my wife wants to go for a walk" Ken said casually.
The older brother Mira let out a long sigh. "Heh, yeah already. You take them home first, looks like this assignment can still wait for you huh?" ledek the man.
Ken smiled happily. "Thank you, brother!"
"Mk."
Mira resigned to her husband's work on this one. He knew there was a responsibility Ken had to take. It took a few days for his little family to get home in that car. After that, she let her husband go.
----------+++---------
Everyone clapped their hands at the prowess of the little girl. Her long blonde hair passed over her shoulders with a pretty face. With an owl resting on her shoulder, the girl nimbly moved her hand to and fro holding the burning wood.
All the spectators were amazed to see it. He was just a little kid but was able to put on such an amazing show. After the performance was over, the little girl saluted by bowing, and went backstage.
"Noir(read, 'noar')!"
The little girl came to a middle-aged woman who was waiting for her. "Oma Berta!" He came and hugged the woman's feet like a child in general.
"Mmh, Honey. You look great, but try washing your hands first."
Noir took off a hug and looked at his two blackened palms. He smiled widely.
"Look, you ruined Oma's dress. Come on, wash his hands." The woman pulled the girl's hand to the nearest faucet. The girl just smelled a smile seeing the woman's skirt leaving a black spot here and there.
After washing the little guy's hands, the woman stared at the boy. "Why did you lose another picture of the storybook that Oma bought yesterday? What's for?"
"I sent it into my dreams, Oma."
"Dreams?"
"Yes, dreams. He said if I send that picture to that place, I'll meet the man I saw most often in the dream, Oma."
"Your father's face?"
"No idea, Oma."
The woman then crouched down and hugged the little girl. "I'm sorry your mother, Noir. Oma until now did not know the whereabouts of your mother and she also never told me about your father. Let's just hope your mother returns safely one day." He had no idea what had happened to his nephew, but he had a bad feeling that she would never return, because she was no longer in the world. He rubbed his grandson's back with pity.
