Find Me in 1000 Years

Find Me in 1000 Years
Ramires Company

Ramires looked at the Japanese man who was busy eating a sandwich in front of him. Is the story true, it doesn't make sense.

Ken realized, the bule man was watching him. He dared to ask. "Why, Master?"

"Can anyone forget a memory, just remember the name?"

Ken had agreed with Balto to say that he had forgotten his memories, so he had nothing to carry.

"That's all I can remember now. I don't know tomorrow, what else I can remember" Ken said casually.

The bule man paused for a moment, then then nodded. "That means starting to remember gradually huh?"

He was a little surprised to find out the man he got was a man forgetting memories. Given Ken's appreciable cooking skills, he will try to bet, making sure his instincts are correct. There was something in the Japanese man's cooking that made him sure of it.

"It looks so."

"Ok, let's finish this late lunch, and roll right into the office."

"Eh, yes, sir." Ken went back to the sandwich. He actually felt a little strange about the man, because Ramires was not what Irene and Min Shi had told him.

As of now, he was invited to eat at the restaurant of a luxury hotel. He even ate with the man. There was no awkwardness in the man eating with his prospective employees. Though Ken is sure, when working later, he is not necessarily able to get a high position because he is still a beginner in the world of cooking.

After lunch, they went to the company of the rich man. A skyscraper in an elite office area with a modern minimalist design. His office is at the top of the high-rise building.

The man sat for a while at his desk and checked the files, while Ken sat on the sofa looking through the luxurious interior of the room.

Ken who is relaxed enough to make Ramires amazed. Not many people dared to do that. Though many people are afraid when dealing with this one bule man. Actually Ramires wasn't that scary. He was only feared for his abundant wealth and his slightly chatty nature.

After he finished checking the files, Ramires began to open up talks about his efforts. "Actually as you know, I'm the owner of some big supermarkets, and now want to venture into trying out the restaurant business. I opened it a few months ago but there's a problem with the management system that's now being changed. I'm replacing most of his employees and I want to put you in there."

"Me?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"But I've never worked in food. Even if I were put there, I would definitely only be in the lowest position, which is the auxiliary part."

"But why is your broth on the menu?"

"It was just a home-grown broth and after all Mr. Balto asked for it after I made it for him."

Chef Balto knows he's talented. My choice must not be wrong, inner Ramires.

"Maybe you've actually worked at a restaurant. Have you not forgotten your memories?"

Ken's mouth was locked. He couldn't deny it because he lied about it.

"I'm keeping the restaurant closed for a while, but you'll take the course."

"Course?"

"Check course. It's on this building on the eighth floor. The course has started and you can join the other staff. The teacher I brought specifically to teach you the cooking skills you need, so you can ask to be taught anything to that teacher. Understood?"

"Eh, yeah."

"Ok, now we're going there." Ramires stood up while hooking the buttons on his suit. He then greeted his secretary in front of his study. "Jemima, I'm down for a second. If my guest comes, tell me to wait a minute."

"Yes, sir."

"Oh, yes. The file on the table has been checked."

"Oh, ok, sir." The secretary of the man who was slim in stature, stood up and entered his study.

The two then left the office and headed for the elevator. "You will stay in the employee dormitory" said the rich man again.

"Oh, yes, sir."

"Sorry for a minute, Chef Richard," Ramires said.

"Yes, please," said the slightly stocky bule man. He seems to be the teacher Ramires meant.

"There's one more person I'm going to take the course here. Please help, will you?"

"Oh, fine."

The rest of the course participants, looked at Ken with a big question mark on his head, as he was the owner of the company. The rest were old restaurant staff.

"Ken, later after the course, meet me back in my room" the rich man said.

"Oh, yes, sir."

Ramires then came out and the Japanese man joined the others. During the class, Ken was the attention of the staff. They were curious about him. Not only was he Asian among those who were European, but they also suspected Ken was a corporate spy.

Ken could sense a suspicious aura from the restaurant employees but he tried to ignore it. He tried to focus on the lessons given, because he felt happy to get the opportunity to learn cooking from experts. He followed the class diligently.

Classes use more practice than theory, so the Japanese man can see firsthand how to cook properly and get to know the basics of cooking.

After class, one of the employees came to Ken.

"Hi, are you a restaurant worker too?" A tall man approached him.

"Actually, I haven't worked in a restaurant for long."

"Which restaurant?"

"Le Bleu."

"Mmh, I know that restaurant. That was chef Balto's, wasn't it?" A woman spoke.

Ken looked. "Oh, is that a famous restaurant?"

"Oh, of course. Many artists eat there. It was a small restaurant but there were many customers. His own chef who cooks his food directly for customers."

"Yes, right. I saw for myself" said Ken.

"But why are you here now?"

Ken certainly did not want to tell the real story. "Mmh, Mr. Barnes asked me to work for him."

"really?" The tall man looked at Ken in disbelief. "What do you do there? Chef too?"

"Oh, no. Just help."

The officers looked at each other at Ken's story. Between believing and not hearing the man's answer because Ken looks honest. But actually there is another reason until this Japanese man is with them, because previously the restaurant closed because there was a problem of embezzlement.

"Yes already? I'm waiting, Mr. Ramires." Ken then went out and took the elevator. He went to Ramires' office and met with his secretary. "Mr Ramires is there, Miss?"

"Oh, you've been waiting for him. Just go in."

Ken opened the door while knocking. "Mr ...." He saw the man checking the file.

"Oh, just come here." The rich man called out to him with his middle and index finger moved.

The Japanese man approached. "Yes, Sir."

The man took out some money and put it in Ken's hand. The Japanese man gawked.

"You don't have a change of clothes, do you? Buy your needs, the rest is food. My driver I told you to wait for you downstairs. You can go clothes shopping with her."

Ken's moved. The man was not as he had expected, he was very kind.
