I Was the One Before

"That's me, isn't it? I was the mysterious man when I went to Lord Z's palace." Ken recalled the incident.

"really. Now your job is to rescue Mimi and bring the bodies of Lord Z and Yumi to the orphanage. Leave everything to Dad, he'll take care of it."

The color of the clear crystal ball then turned white as if filled with smoke. Then came out a picture like a video that was playing the incident when Ken was celebrating his birthday. "It's Ken. When do you want to come in? This can be brought forward. Just give the order to the crystal ball."

"Ah, just this time. While celebrating with the children of the orphanage." Ken pointed to an incident seen inside the crystal ball.

The man took and put the crystal ball behind the jacket and closed it. He said goodbye to his mother. "I'll go first, Mom."

"Hopefully." Ken turned his face towards the door while taking a breath. Then take it out slowly. He stepped steadily into the open door. After passing through, he closed the door.

Ken had touched his chest that was beating fast. He's meeting Yumi. Then what should he say?

Soon he opened the door. There were sounds of people talking and joking. Most of their voices are children's.

Ken drowned his head in the headgear so that the look of his face was invisible. He peeked out. It turned out that he was close to the door of the room where the crowd was. He rushed out, closed the door, and carefully entered the room next to him. He waited while peeking out.

Just then Yumi comes out of the room, along with Nara, her roommate. Ken then opened the headgear and followed them. "Yumi."

The two girls looked.

"Ken?"

Seeing that there would be a serious speaker, Nara relented. "Eh, I'll go to the kitchen first, okay?" He continued his steps to the stairs.

Ken was still confused as to what to say while the shadow he had passed so far made him want to cry. "Eh, can I talk to you for a second." He opened the door of the room that was on the side for Yumi.

The girl came in while turning on the room light. "What's up?"

Suddenly Yumi smothered the man's mouth. "That is what it means to be friends. We help each other. Isn't that how it should be, Ken? I never regret ever being your friend." The girl smiled broadly giving him some spirit.

Ken looked at both of Yumi's eyeballs with nanar. A girl who every day never tired give him spirit, and always share his joy and sorrow together. Only with the girl did he feel like he had a family. Ken immediately hugged the girl which made the girl surprised.

"Ken?" Suddenly Yumi pushed him away.

"Eh, Yumi ...." But before the man finished his sentence, the girl opened the door and ran out.

"Eh, did I say the wrong thing?" Ken's stunned. "Eh, I ...." He was confused about what happened. Ken then went down. He sees Yumi going to the kitchen on the first floor and meets Nara. He then tried to eavesdrop on their conversation from the outside.

"I'm confused by Ken's attitude" Yumi lamented. He helps Nara wash the remaining dishes.

Ken was surprised to hear that. So the kiss when she was drunk was real? So he did that in a conscious state? Unknowingly, the man touched his own lips.

"I don't want this because my friendship with her is broken. I don't have a family, do I have to lose friends?" yumi said with a sad face.

Hurriedly the man covered his head with his hoddie. He looked at the front door and rushed there. Ken walked out the door and peered inside.

Ken laughed again. "Yes, yeah. Tomorrow, yeah, well, it's late at night" he said, shaking his head out of it. Ken who was in that era, was stunned to see Yumi who came out of the kitchen and looked at him with a hard to interpret look. "Eh ...."

He had just raised his hand when the girl hurriedly left him and climbed the stairs. Although confused, he was then indifferent and tailed by climbing the stairs as well.

"I'm as stupid as I used to be, huh!" Ken who was now dumbfounded saw it.
