Jakarta, Indonesia
The sound of a knock produced heels of a woman who had just got off the plane while carrying a black suitcase sounded so elegant and classy. A pair of sunglasses perched on the nose of his nose he came off and smiled when he reached the front yard of the airport.
"It's good to be back !" muttered.
Arumi tried to take a deep breath and exhaled back slowly. The girl's eyes were glazed. Now, here he is. In a place that he once avoided but in fact remains a place for him to return. That beautiful girl should start everything from the beginning. All the despair he had hung high in the sky of Paris collapsed even before Arumi built his dream castle. And now, that hope is back he hanged in the land of his father's birth. Jakarta. The girl only hopes that this time the hope will remain until Arumi reaches the highest peak.
Not long after, the girl resumed her steps. He walks in search of a taxi to drive to the Aldric family's apartment. An apartment that was bought by Charles while living in Indonesia and almost sold if Arumi did not suddenly want to go back to this city again.
Arriving at the Aldric family's apartment, Arumi rushes to open the door and puts her suitcase inside. The girl let out a faint sigh when she saw the condition of the apartment. Very dirty and dusty. Characteristics of occupancy that has not been touched for years at all.
Feeling very tired, Arumi felt unable to clean the apartment unit itself. So, he called the apartment manager. Ask if they have cleaning services to clean the place. A good decision because it is indeed an elite apartment that almost has everything.
"Aru ? Have you arrived ? How was your trip ?" Charlie's enthusiastic voice greeted Arumi's hearing when the video call connection was connected.
"Yes. I've arrived. And now that I'm in your apartment" Arumi replied, showing every corner of the apartment that was being cleaned by the officer she called.
"How about, Sweetheart ? You like your residence*new ?" this time, Isabella asked. The face of the loving woman almost filled the mobile phone screen. Charlie's voice came from behind, crying out in protest because his face was not visible.
"Yes. I really like it, Aunty ! But, it's still too big for me !" arumi replied with a clear face.
"You have to get used to yourself ! Instead of buying or renting a place to live again, you better use your savings to open your new business, Sweetheart !"
Arumi nodded. Isabella's words are correct. Better money he used to pioneer his small business.
"Thank you for treating Aru so dearly, Aunty !" lirih Arumi slowly.
"It's okay, little girl ! Don't worry about us" Isabella said with a deep kiss to the camera for Arumi.
"Where is Uncle Charles, Aunty ?" arumi asks who just realized that there is only Charlie and Isabella.
"Uncle is overtime, Sweetheart ! He still hasn't come home" Isabella said.
"All right ! Well then, Aru sends a greeting to Uncle huh, Aunty !"
"Aunty will tell me ! Bye !!"
"Bye, Aru !!!" Charlie behind Isabella waved his hand.
Arumi disconnected the video call while removing a trail of tears spilling from the corner of her eye. The haru feeling of having a family as good as Charlie and his parents really makes Arumi very grateful. At least, he still had an Aldric family that loved him.
Unknowingly, Arumi suddenly recalled her real father, Jonathan. A father who never loved him but still still difficult for Arumi to forget. If only his father had the affection of Uncle Charles, surely Arumi would feel as the happiest child.
"Dad how are you ?" he murmured in the heart.
Arumi ordered only simple food. Fried rice and lemon tea ice for him was enough to replenish his strength again. The girl greeted enthusiastically with her ordered food while clapping as the waiter delivered her.
"Thank you !" Arumi smiled as she gave a small nod to the female servant who served her.
"Sama-sama," said the friendly servant.
Arumi immediately ate her food. Sometimes he smiled as he closed his eyes as the fried rice reached his taste buds. So delicious and makes Arumi really addicted.
"Aru ?" a man approached and sat down on a chair right next to Arumi.
The girl looked up and the next split second, the fried rice inside Arumi's mouth came out from a sudden cough. Shocked by the sudden appearance of Devan nearby.
"Drink, drink !" Devan gives Arumi lemon tea.
"Are you okay ?" devan asked worriedly. The man's hand patted Arumi's back worriedly.
"I'm fine" replied Arumi reassuringly.
Devan nodded and again distanced his hand from Arumi's back. Feeling a little awkward in his reflexive attitude that felt quite excessive.
"What are you doing in this area ? Isn't your house too far away to come here ?" ask Devan later.
"I-i ..." Arumi thought hard to make up excuses. "I just happened to pass by, Brother !" said.
"Continue ?" Devan's eyes squinted as if he could not believe the words of the girl beside him.
"Yes. Coincidence !" Arumi smiled broadly. Convince Devan through his eyes that what he says is the truth. Although, the man certainly knows that Arumi is definitely not good at lying.
Leaving Arumi's lie to go, Devan chooses to follow the girl's game. He understood that Arumi would not want him to tell anyone about their meeting. Especially to Irgi. The one who had hurt the girl was too deep.
"How are you ?" lirih Devan later. He had not expected to be able to reunite with the girl he had liked in the past by chance like this.
"Good !" Arumi answered briefly.
"Where have you been all this time, Aru ? Did you know that Irgi's been looking for you everywhere ?"
Devan's words suddenly made Arumi's heart beat faster than ever. The girl did not believe in her own sense of hearing. What ? Irgi's looking for her ? So, the email that has been constantly coming in to him is the correct email sent from Irgi ? But, why ? Why is it only now that Irgi is looking for her after all the cruel treatment that the man has given her ?
"What's he looking for me for, brother ?" The girl's lips twitched. All the pieces of pain that he had thrown away had reassembled in his brain. Everything he wanted to forget now hit him again.
"Entai ! I don't know either. Maybe, because he's already realized his mistake against you in the past" Devan explained.
Arumi laughed heartily at Devan's words. His heart was frozen to hear Irgi's apology. And if Devan's words are true, then Irgi's regret for him is just a last wind. The irgi in his eyes was now nothing more than a stranger.
