Dusk In Moorea

Dusk In Moorea
HR#33

"Thank you, Aru !" Claire kisses Arumi's cheek briefly then rushes out of the boutique. The beautiful woman walked out wearing the sunglasses she had been carrying in her bag.

One of the two beautiful girl bodyguards swiftly opened the car door for their young miss. He bowed respectfully waiting for the master to enter.

Before getting into the car, Claire still waved at Arumi. A beautiful smile displays her neat white teeth which are also answered by Arumi with a wave of hands and a smile that is no less charming.

After Claire leaves, Arumi again closes the boutique door and continues her activities back to work. Nothing special happened today. Everything went so mediocre that Arumi was almost bored.

The brunette-haired man who usually comes after Arumi works, seems not to come today either. The girl even came home a little late in the hope that Leon might show up at the last minute. However, until 6pm there was no sign of the man appearing.

Arumi bit her lower lip while bowing. In the lyrics the clock is circular on his wrist and then decided to go home. Maybe Leon didn't come because he was busy. At least, it was the most optimistic thing Arumi could believe regardless of the possibility that the man had already given up and decided to forget about Arumi.

"Why are you so limp ? Got bitten by a vampire ?" Tegur Charlie who was busy reading a novel in the living room when Arumi flashed about to go up with a lethargic face typical of people lost spirit.

Arumi stopped in place. At his sight Charlie raised an eyebrow waiting for an answer out of curiosity on the sofa. He then changed his steps and chose to sit next to his best friend.

"What's up, Aru ? You're totally out of vampire bites, huh ? How much blood did you suck so you could be this hot ?" Charlie elbowed Arumi who was sitting leaning next to him.

"Don't ask a lot of absurd questions, Charlotte." Arumi said with her eyes closed.

"Charlie, Aru ! Charlie !" Charlie reminded.

"If you weren't bitten by a vampire, then why would you be this hot ?" Further.

"Entai ! Maybe because I'm tired." Answer weakly.

Charlie shrugged his shoulders indifferently. Then reopen the thick pages of the novel book that he read and seemed to not care about what happened to Arumi.

"Say this because you're sorry you rejected Leon." Charlie's murmured almost inaudibly.

"What did you say ?" Arumi hissed fiercely. His originally closed eyes had already opened back with a glaring horror look. Charlie's small voice apparently still he could hear though not so clear.

"What ? What did I say ?" Ask Charlie who pretends not to know.

"Char, don't lure me."

"Are you a fish ? Why would I lure you ?" Charlie shrugged his shoulders again. His eyes were still focused on the novel 'Pride and Prejudice' he was reading.

"You're provoking my frustration, Charlie ?"

Charlie turned his head for a while, smiling at Arumi before turning his face flat and refocusing on his novel.

"Why do I provoke the annoyance of people who are already upset ? Don't scapegoat me, Aru."

Leon took a long breath. The 25-year-old man already looks so dashing in a black formal suit with a bow tie in matching colors. Next to her, sat a beautiful woman who looked so happy and occasionally chimed in on the talk of three adults sitting with them enjoying dinner together.

Yes, there's Claire with her parents who's meeting Duke Xander's dinner tonight. The three parents look so engrossed in talking about the concept of marriage between Leon and Claire who about two months will be in the title of massive. Of course, this marriage will be one of the weddings that will be the center of attention of one country. Because, Claire's parents have invited the media crew to cover their daughter's wedding after the previous engagement party only in secret.

Although Duke Xander initially refused because the man did not like being a news item, in the end he agreed as well. Not because he's broken. More in the direction of Raphael Savich, Claire's father has shared Claire's wedding invitation to the media without the knowledge of Duke Xander.

"Leon, take Jane for a walk to the park ! Daddy and Jane's parents want to talk about something important."

Leon who had just been stunned silent and did not intend to join in their discussion just nodded. Stand up and step first, before following Claire behind her.

"You still don't accept this matchmaking ?" Claire asked, shortly after the two sat on a park bench filled with many beautiful flowers.

Leon chuckles cynically. " Don't you already know the answer ?"

"Do you really have no intention of learning to love me, Leon ?" Claire's voice sounded so soft. As if, that was the true expression of his heart.

"No." Leon answered without thinking.

Claire's day was painful. So unhappy with Leon that the man even thoughtlessly answered Claire's question ? Leon didn't even think that his words could hurt Claire by hearing it.

"Do you love another girl, Leon ?"

The question managed to make Leon who was reluctant to look at the beautiful face Claire is now focused also on the girl.

"Should I answer ?"

"of course. I deserve to know."

"I don't think it's any of your business, Jane." Cynical Leon with a thin grin.

"But I'm your fiancee."

"The engagement my father chose. Not because I want to." Shake the man angry.

Leon was sick of hearing those words repeatedly from Claire's mouth. Fiancee ? What is so special about those words ? Being engaged is not the epitome that you already have that person completely. And that's what Leon feels now.

Maybe he's Claire's official fiancee. However, the owner of his heart is still the Asian girl he met on the island of Moorea first. The same girl, who had broken her heart twice.

While Claire who was standing next to him tried to throw her face. Turning away from the man she will soon have her body due to the bond of marriage but unfortunately, not with her heart. Claire knew that there was already another maiden name enthroned in her future husband's heart. And, Claire promised to find out who the presumptuous girl was and teach her a worthy lesson for taking the man who should only be hers.
