Too soon

This morning, Arumi and Charlie were walking along the beach while occasionally throwing balls at each other they made out of sand. They both laughed and tried to beat each other.

"Okay, Char ! I give up ! That's enough." Said Arumi with a breath of breath. Playing sand throwing with Charlie obviously drains Arumi a lot of energy. As for Charlie, let alone be tired, breathless not.

"You're giving up too soon, Aru !" Ejek Charlie who is now sitting and let the clothes he was wearing was washed by sea water.

"You whose power never runs out, Char !" Reply Arumi who sat beside Charlie. His head he rested on his best friend's shoulder with a gaze looking at the expanse of blue sea that spoils the eyes.

"How are you feeling now ? Still thinking of Irgi ?" Asked Charlie in such a gentle tone.

"Come, Char ! My heart is still not okay if I remember it. It may take longer for me to forget everything." Lirih Arumi slowly.

Charlie rubbed the top of Arumi's head and lowered his arms to embrace Arumi. His eyes fell upon the blue sea before them.

Arumi dissolved in her own thoughts. And with Charlie. The two beautiful girls of different personalities were comforting each other in silence. The sound of sea waves greeting the coral beside them felt so melodious that their eyes closed. The sea breeze cradling the two dissolved in the so intoxicating nature simphony. No one realized that there were two men looking at them with smiles.

"Are you sure they're not lesbians, Leon ?" Zack asked, nudging Leon on the shoulder.

The one in question only smiled and locked onto the strong figure of Arumi who was leaning on Charlie's shoulder right in front of him.

"Of course not, Zack ! They've been good friends since school. It's only natural that they're that familiar." Deny Leon quickly.

"I hope you're right, man ! Or you'll be heartbroken first on her appeal."

Zack runs away from Leon and goes on his own morning run. While Leon once again looked at Arumi's back from behind and rushed after Zack.

"Wait for me, Zak !" Strangled Leon who ran as fast as possible after Zack.

At 5 p.m., the air on the island of Moorea was warm and soothing for Arumi. The beautiful girl walked down the beach alone with a sad face. The news of Irgi and Beverly's marriage clearly shook Arumi's mind so fiercely.

He still loves Irgi. In fact, he loved a man who was not for him in the first place. But what a force, the heart that does not know itself slowly collapses and finally falls into the charm of the man who used to be her husband even if only briefly. The togetherness that continues to repeat every day, and Irgi's attitude that is always good to him makes Aru weak and ultimately surrendered himself to the man who never loved him. Arumi had forgotten her role, that she was nothing more than a stunt double who would never appreciate her existence.

"You are evil brother Irgi ! I hate you with my whole life. Why are you doing this to me ? What was my lack all this time ?" Shouted Arumi in despair.

Tears fell on her smooth cheeks, signaling that her heart was crumbling dimly without anyone being able to help.

"Please tell me, anyone please tell me, how can this heart be okay even without it ?" Arumi fell down while beating her chest in despair. The wound was too painful for him to bear on his own.

"Forget him and open your heart to others." Someone who is now reaching out to help Arumi get up.

The girl was a little astonished then looked up to see who the person who was extending a hand to her was.

"Leon ?" Hurriedly Arumi got up without caring about Leon's helping hand. He immediately wiped his tears and smiled awkwardly at the handsome man before him.

"What are you doing here ?" Arumi asked confusedly. His head looked to the left right, knowing there were still others who saw him crying other than Leon.

"So looking for a calm atmosphere to create a song. But the one I met was a beautiful woman who was crying alone." Leon replied while teasing Arumi through the twinkling of his eyes.

Arumi chuckled softly while snorting mischievously. Although Leon is the son of one of the most influential people in the country, but the man's attitude is really very annoying and far from classy like people who are equal to him. The man seemed unfettered and much freer than a successor to a large family like himself who usually lives with 1001 kinds of etiquette that must be obeyed. Leon seems different. He was much more able to control his own life and could determine his happy path. At least, that's what Arumi thinks of Leon.

"Can you keep this a secret to Charlie and his parents ?"

"What condition ?"

"Tell me, who's the man you're crying about ?"

"What do you mean ? I'm not crying for a man." Elak Arumi looked away.

"Hey, don't lie ! Have we not become friends ? Why not just share with me about your problem ? Why complain to the waves of the sea that can not give you a solution at all ?" Leon tries to persuade Arumi.

"We are friends with Leon. But, we are not yet familiar enough to share stories about such a thing." Arumi said with a small smile.

"All right ! How much time do we have to spend so you can share your story with me ? One week ? Two weeks ?"

"That's it, Leon ! You always like to joke."

Arumi walked away from Leon and rushed back to the resort where she was staying. Behind him, there was Leon tailing like a chick following its mother.

"Come on, Aru ! What's wrong with us being close ?" Whine Leon who walked backwards in front of Arumi.

The Asian-faced woman tightened her grip on the knit cardigan she was wearing because of the cold air that was increasingly felt due to the wind.

" Lon, please take care of your attitude ! People can misunderstand seeing you like this."

"Misunderstand me ? I misunderstand why ?" Asked Leon with raised eyebrows.

"They can think that you and I have a relationship. It won't go well for you !"

"I don't mind if people think we are." Answer Leon casually.

Arumi's steps stopped. The beautiful woman sighed softly and looked at Leon with a serious look.

"Maybe we're friends, Leon ! But it'd be better if you stayed away from me from now on." Arumy said seriously.

"Why ? What's wrong with our friendship, Aru ?" Leon's question didn't take it. As if, there was pain in his heart when Arumi asked him to stay away.

"I never believed in the friendship between a man and a woman. To me, it's an impossible thing, Leon !" Reply Arumi explained.

"Then don't be friends. We can be so much more than just friends." Said Leon with a face look no less serious.

"I mean ?" Arumi tilted her head, looking in surprise at Leon's face which suddenly turned serious.

"Be my lover !" Pinta Leon suddenly.

Arumi who had been trying to hold a smile because of the look of Leon's serious face that felt very excessive immediately turned grim when she heard the words that slid so easily from Leon's mouth. The man had just said a sentence that increasingly made Arumi's heart wound gaping. Honestly, ever since Irgi dumped her, Arumi felt that love would never seriously side with her.

"You're aware of what you're saying ?" Said Arumi with teary eyes.

"of course. I'm very serious !" Reply Leon vigorously.

"Don't joke about love with me Leon ! I'm not an easy woman to play with as you please with the phrase love ! Go ! Find another woman you want to play with, but that's definitely not me !" Arumi growled with a trembling voice.

Before long, he ran away leaving Leon feeling all his might holding back the tears. Arumi had enough to hurt Irgi. He does not want to believe the love offered by any man let alone Leon. What kind of woman does Leon think Arumi is ?
