"Better we go home now ! " Zack is trying to help Leon get back on his feet.

Leon looked up at Zack. The man's pale face grew even more pale. Her eyes cut even more into the heart of Zack who saw her.

Why are you being this sad, Leon ?

Zack turned his gaze the other way. Unable to linger staring at the brown netra of his best friend and half-sister. Seeing the injured Leon makes Zack feel the pain that is difficult for him to describe. Zack slowly takes Leon to his car. Leading Leon sat on the passenger bench as he walked around the car to the driver's seat.

Zack started the engine and drove the iron object away from the Aldric residence. He also called someone to bring Leon's car back to the mansion. In the car, only Leon's face that flooded with tears became the object of his attention. Zack recalls his past. When for the first time she knew that all this time she had a sister despite her different mother.

7 Years ago....

Inessa galloped into the mansion of Duke Xander's residence Sher Wellington by clasping the hand of a 7-year-old boy. Inessa was confused to see the large number of people who came today at the Duke's residence in black clothes a sign of mourning.

Inessa wondered in her heart. Who died ? From a distance, Duke Xander hugged a handsome little boy crying in his arms. Inessa gulped her gulp rough as she looked at the photo of Duchess Greysha on top of a crate located in the middle of the room. The woman's eyes began to glaze over while covering her mouth in disbelief. Meanwhile, the boy who was beside her only looked at Inessa with a confused look.

Duke Xander who captured the figure of Inessa not far from where it stands now immediately gave the son he carried to Ronald. I don't know what Duke Xander said to the butler. Inessa couldn't hear because the noise in the surrounding area was quite deafening to her ears.

Before long, Duke Xander steps up to Inessa and has Inessa follow the man to his study.

"What did you ask me to come here ?" ask Inessa to the point.

Duke Xander looked at him with reddened eyes. Indicates that the cold man is still covered in grief even though he did not shed a single tear.

"Duchess Greysha died last night" Duke Xander said flatly.

Inessa. Although he had guessed before, but still he did not think that his guess turned out to be true.

"A-what ? What's going on ? Is he sick ?" inessa asked with a trembling voice.

Duke Xander nodded. "Yes. Acute myelocytic leukemia."

Inessa's tears are now wetting her cheeks. The woman was crying because of the sad news she had just heard. He also felt lost for the departure of the woman who had considered him like a sister himself.

A woman who doesn't even antagonize her when she finds out that Inessa is pregnant with her husband's child. In fact, if not for Duchess Greysha, perhaps now her son would not have grown to this size. Duchess Greysha forbade Inessa from aborting the fetus she conceived when she found out she was pregnant.

"When has it been ?" Inessa's voice was hoarse almost inaudible.

"Said his personal doctor over the past year. But, he never said it. Greysha kept his illness a secret from me, Leon and his parents." Duke Xander bowed. Now the tears could see Inessa clearly.

It pooled in the corner of the man's eyes and slowly decayed even if only briefly.

"What about Leon ?" Inessa just remembered Duchess Greysha's son.

"As you've seen. Leon still cannot accept the passing of his mother" Duke Xander replied.

"Lantas, why did you call me and Zack here ?"

"I want Zack to be friends with Leon."

"What ?" inessa didn't believe it. He did not expect the words would come out of the mouth of Duke Xander who had been forbidding him and Zack to appear in front of Leon's face.

Duke Xander sighed faintly and waved his hand at the boy who had been hiding behind Inessa ever since.

"Zack, come here !" call Duke Xander.

"Do you want to call me Daddy, Zack ?" duke Xander asked as he held onto Zack's shoulders.

The little boy nodded.

"Then do you want to do something for me ?" ask Duke Xander.

Zack nodded back.

"All right !" Duke Xander smiled. The smile that Zack never got from his real father in the past. Now look at ! The smile was just for him.

"I want you to be friends with Leon. Be a good friend to him. Take care of him with all your soul and body. And don't let a single person hurt her. You understand ?"

"Who's Leon ?" little Zack asked innocently.

Duke Xander turned the chair he was sitting on. Grabbing a picture frame where there is a portrait of him with a brunette-haired 5-year-old boy on his desk.

"It's Leon !" Duke Xander tapped on the glass frame of the photo. Showing Leon's laughing face to Zack.

"He's your brother, Zack !" duke Xander again.

Zack looks at Leon's photo. His smile expanded when he knew that he had a very handsome younger brother. Meanwhile, Inessa could only turn her face away. Can't bear to see his son being treated like a beggar just because of a confession from his own biological father.

"If I were his friend, would I call you Daddy ?" ask little Zack.

"Yes. Of course," Duke Xander replied reassuringly.

"All right ! Zack would do it, Daddy. But can I ask for one more thing ?"

"What ?" ask Duke Xander.

"May I take a picture with Daddy and Leon ?"

"of course. But on one condition !"

"What's Daddy ?"

"You can only call me Daddy when there's no one. And don't let Leon know that you're his brother" Duke Xander said.

Zack nodded weakly. The little boy's heart was saddened by his father's last words. However, before long little Zack nodded. Accepting Duke Xander's request even though his heart was wounded.

As he walked out of Duke Xander's room, Zack walked up to a little boy curled up in the corner of the room staring at the coffin of the mother who had given birth to him. The little boy's tears were still flowing while calling his mother's name nonstop.

"Hi ! I'm Zack !" greet Zack. "Stand ! Don't be sad ! I promise to be your friend" he continued, extending a hand.

Leon hesitates to welcome Zack's hand. He stood up with Zack's help. And, Zack immediately smiled. Hugging Leon while patting little Leon's shoulder.

"I'll be a good friend to you ! Believe ! So, stop crying !" said Zack.

"Mommy died, Zack ! He just left me for good ', hiks.., '" said Leon, wiping his tears.
