Aara is Not Lara

Aara is Not Lara
Redeeming Sins

The sky is still bright, although it is no longer blue. Ara parked her motorcycle in the garage, carrying a helmet into the side door of her house.

Instantly Ara's light steps came to a halt. Ara realized that at her house the guest had arrived, but the guest was unexpected. Smiling wryly while grinning, Ara scooped up as much air as she could.

“Room home.” Said Ara loudly as usual. Put the helmet on the shelf and walk to the kitchen for a drink.

‘Stupid time!!’ Ignoring the several pairs of eyes watching her, Ara was reluctant to glance at a single glance.

“Kak.. Come down later!” Papa Yudith said slowly, but clearly a command for Ara.

“Hm.”

“Now greet your Grandpa for a moment!” Again the words of Papa Yudith sounded like an order.

“Nanti.” Answer Ara ketus. Ara stepped her feet up the stairs with a stomping and snorting in annoyance.

It is true, since that incident Grandpa Baren began to lower his ego. Worst perhaps that is what Grandpa Baren felt after passing all his mistakes on Mama Lauritz, Papa Yudith and of course to his grandchildren. Not to mention with his own eyes decorated with wrinkled skin Grandpa Baren saw Ara prefer death than luxury living according to his design.

“Sorry yes, Pa.” Mama Lauritz said to Grandpa Baren.

“Nothing, maybe Ara is still tired of just coming home from college in the afternoon. Let alone.” Grandpa Baren said casually as if he did not feel disappointment. For a moment his memory again glared far at the times he had passed. Ignoring Ara who kept attracting his attention. Now, Grandpa Baren only realized when the grandson did not want it.

Think of it as atoning for sins, that's what Grandpa Baren always pondered. Even the old body of Grandpa Baren is willing to take a long journey to fight for an apology. Although not really spoken, but the action can explain the reason for Grandpa Baren's presence in the middle of the Ara family.

Looking like today, there was a small chatter, a nostalgic laugh that filled the living room. Don't forget the television that is on. It was as if a harmonious family that had never been split which made Ara fed up.

But one thing remained the same, the presence of Grandpa Baren that Ara had never expected. Ara prefers to avoid, stay away or even confine herself all day in the room. His heart was still heavy to accept the sudden change. He seems traumatized if he will be abandoned again after having his feelings stirred.

If anyone says forgiveness can be so easily said, it does not apply to Ara. His tongue seemed frozen, his head petrified, his body like a statue in the City roundabout that could not be moved just to say sorry Grandpa Baren.

I don't know what else Ara has to do to treat an injured heart. If the word sorry itself is difficult to say, obviously the wound that continues to be slashed is still gaping and the pain is immeasurable.

Although sometimes guilt and pity slipped in Ara's heart when she saw the sad look that adorned the wrinkled face of the Grandfather. However, once again Ara could only deepen while trying sincerely in her own way.

‘Pardon Ara, Ma, Pa.. How else if my heart still throbbing pain like a sliced double-edged sword.’ Plucking her tired body, Ara's eyes closed tightly shut. Clenched his right hand and hit his chest softly which felt tight. Ara really has trouble releasing all the pseudo-pressure that cannot be defined.

Geck.

Geck.

Geck.

“Iyaa.” Sahut Ara while carrying her lazy body towards the door of the room.

Chequek.

“You eat or shower first?” Ask Mama Lauritz who is standing in the doorway.

“Still full, Ma. I ate at the same school as Yuki.” Killah Ara. Indeed, Ara's stomach has been wrapped around because it is only filled with stomach acid. He was reluctant to set foot downstairs which must have contained people who made him lazy even just to breathe the same air.

“Mandi first if so Kak!”

“Later yes, Ma.. Brother still wants to fall. In a moment, can you, Ma?” Pinta Ara with a twinkle full of supplication.

“Do not go to bed so do not take a shower huh Kak.”

“Siap Kanjeng Mami.” Pointing her thumb a sign of agreement and obedience, Ara passed by throwing herself on the bed. Of course Ara did not close the door to her room.

Mama Lauritz who saw the behavior of her daughter was only able to shake her head slowly. Closing the door to Ara's room and rejoining the crowd in the living room.

“Which sister Ma?” Ask Mama Lauritz.

“Biasalah Mas, so sloth in his room.”

“Huh.!” Grunting as loud as Jona who honestly wanted to run to Ara's room. Not to mention Rian who had just been silently staring at the television series bored. Both who are used to preferring to spend time playing games together in the room are forced to sit sweetly at the behest of Mama Lauritz.

From the eyeballs of Jona and Rian there was clearly a very obvious foreign sense of the interaction of the two on Grandpa Baren. Even Rian's whole life this time was close to Grandpa Baren. The foreign figure who suddenly claimed himself as the father of the Mama obviously made Rian uncomfortable.

Drrt.. Drrt..

“Ha.”

[RA!!!! SO NO!!!????]

“ASTAGA!!!! YUKI...!!!” Turning away her phone, Ara also rubbed her ear which had just received a death trumpet attack.

“Do not scream can you?” Ara asked in a low voice who was holding back an upset.

[Sorry, too excited.] Yuki replied with a cry opposite the phone call.

[So go no?]

“We'll go a little late at night. I have not contacted Doctor Dion also to ask tonight open a clinic n.”

[Ask now, Ra!! Tell me right away if you get any news. I'll pick a shirt first.].

“We want to go to a people interrogation clinic, not a walk let alone a table, Ki. Wear the usual clothes you can.”

[Who said? You right?]

“Kan in fact is so Yuki dear.”

[Wrong!! I want to spread all the charm to the handsome Doctor tau.].

“Yes geez.. Have a friend really like this his behavior.” Gumam Ara lirih's.

[Not to complain, Ra. Who knows, we'll be brothers-in-law later.]

“Aaan anyway!?”

[Where do you know my soul mate apparently your doctor. Said he was Mr. Rava's sister, we'd be brothers-in-law if I made it.. Ahaha.] Laughing loudly, Yuki was rolling on a pink mattress with a cherry blossom pattern.

Does anyone agree with Ara's thought that saying sorry isn't as easy as everyone else always says?🤔

Hana wants to make Yuki's story after Aara's novel ends, okay?🙂

By the way, please support Hana's latest short story whose cover is below ya🙏👇

Blurbs :

I dragged my fragile body that rolled weakly. Strong clenching squeezed the snow-studded cold ground. Under the cold of the moonless night that shone, the silence I used to hear changed into a terrible rumble.

FYI, this is the first time Hana participated in the short story race 🤭

Why rarely UP Ara but can make short stories?🙄

Forgive Hana yes.. Make this short story happen to succeed as one way of diversion when tired and let his brain refreshing to another story first before continuing the story of Ara🙏🙏

Thank you for faithfully monitoring Ara's story and always giving her support for Han🥰
