Wizard Runners
Chapter 36's

Aev looked at Aang Feng. His eyes closed, and he sat on the grass with

a full expression of concentration on his face.

It had been almost a week since Lord Aang had given him the scroll containing the technique

circulation, but so far, he hasn't managed to master it.

At first, Aev was somewhat relieved that he had trouble learning this technique.

He was afraid that with his Mastery in magic, he would surpass him deeply

few days. He knows it's small, but still, it feels good to be more

good in something than himself for a change.

Now, however, she was starting to feel bad for him. He works

day and night, but somehow, the technique still escaped him.

Apparently, magical talent alone was not enough to learn Body Refinement.

Aev, on the other hand, has made great strides in mastering the technique

circulations. Using it while running is difficult at first, but with

instructions from Mr. Aang, it would take less than a week for him to be able to

do it at least fairly reliably.

The effect still surprised him. As long as he used that technique, he did not

tired, no matter how much he forced himself. If he wants to, then,

he will be able to run at full speed for hours – as long as he

continue to use circulation techniques.

The downside is if the focus slips for a moment, the effect of the technique

it would collapse, and the accumulated fatigue would hit it all at once. More

bad again, when it happens exhaustion makes it almost impossible to

regaining focus without stopping to catch your breath.

“Paution!” Lord Aang's voice shook Aev from his mind.

“Sorry,” says Aev. “I just thought about ..” He didn't finish

his sentence, instead glanced at Aang Feng.

“Do not worry about him,” said Mr. Aang. “Maybe it's not like that, though,

but he advanced faster than usual. Even if it's not as fast as you are,

it's not bad at all.”

Aev nodded, feeling relieved for Aang Feng as well as some pride over

progress itself .

“Now notice,” said Mr. Aang. “I'll teach you about

a new use for this technique, but before I do, I have to

warn you about dangers.”

“Danger?” Up until now, things that Aang Aang had taught her

it seems completely harmless. The only risk is letting

his technique collapsed as he ran, in which case he would spend some

minutes out of breath. And even then, by using the technique he could recover

quickly.

“What I will teach next is how to improve

your strength,” said Lord Aang. “It is a variation of the same technique that

have you used, except this time, you will direct your energy to

certain parts of your body.”

“But why is it dangerous?” Aev asked. He's not really worried, though,

but he still wanted to know what risks he was facing.

“You know what happens when you lose focus while running,”

said Lord Aang.

Aev nodded.

“Now, consider what will happen if you lift a stone

weighing a thousand pounds over your head, and your strength suddenly fails.”

Aev doesn't need much imagination to imagine what the outcome would be like

the crash. And when he thinks about how often he loses

focus when using techniques when running, relying on circulation techniques

for anything that involves risk seems very dangerous.

“Then how do I train it?” Aev asked.

“For starters, you will not lift a stone weighing a thousand pounds,”

said Lord Aang. “Or something else, in this case – is not until you really

sure to stay focused, no matter what.”

he had to be a total idiot to ignore the man's words.

“Nah, let me explain what to do ..” Lord Aang

embarked.

The next few hours, Aev listened attentively when

Lord Aang explained how to use this technique to improve

someone's power.

The basic idea is very simple. All he has to do is manipulate

a circulation technique to direct Essence to the parts of his body that wanted to

he's strengthening. But the details are just as complicated as the idea itself is simple, simple,

and several times, Aev finds himself lost in Lord Aang's explanation.

Finally, he thought he understood enough to give it a try.

“How do I practice it safely?” he asked, remembering

lord Aang's previous warning.

“Jump,” says Mr. Aang. “Stand in place, crouch, then send

Essence to your feet just as you move to jump. Like this.”

In an instant, Lord Aang pushed his huge body off the ground, flying

in the air fifteen feet. When he landed it with a loud thud,

and his feet left two deep imprints on the soft ground.

Aev stared in amazement. With the man's big physique, it will be

a small miracle for him to jump even a foot off the ground. However, this

no surprise – even if Mr. Aang is not as big as a small mountain.

“When I land ... how do I avoid injuring myself?” Aev

ask with mind.

“If you can jump this high, you should strengthen your legs by

Essence,” says Lord Aang. Then, with a loud laugh, he added, adding,

“But you don't have to worry about it for a few weeks.”

The next hours saw Aev jumping around like a frog,

repetitively. It didn't take long before he understood that this would

harder than learning to use circulation techniques while running, and

he knew that for now, all he had to worry about was being seen

like a fool.

It was approaching sunset when suddenly, Aang Feng's voice

heard across the field.

“I've done it!” she cried. “I can use technique

circulation!”

Soon, Aev runs to congratulate her, grateful for

a chance to take a much needed break.

“Simple once,” said, looking confused. “I need one week to

learn, but now ..it's as simple as raising my hand.”

“Ya,” said Aev with a nod, ” but only once you know how. “

Aang Feng immediately understood what Aev had also learned over the course of several weeks

lastly, that is that Body Repair techniques are hard to learn, but far away

easier to use than handling Essence in the usual way.

“Very good, Small Feng!” Lord Aang said as he joined the

they, a big smile on his face.

“How can I start using it?” Aang Feng asked at once.

He was obviously impatient to start training.

“You can't,” replied Lord Aang. “At least not now.”

“But Uncle Bear—” Aang Feng started, the frustration was evident in

her face.

“But nothing,” Lord Aang cut it. “You will start

your practice in the morning. First, we party!”

“Pesta?” Aang Feng looked confused as Aev felt.

“Technics only forms half of the Body Repair track,” says Lord Aang.

“What's the other half?” When he asked the question, Aev was already suspicious

what answer.

“The other half is eat, and eat well!” Lord Aang

radiantly. “Now follow me. There's a party waiting for the three of us!”
