After Aang Feng left the room, Aev and Lord Aang were silent to
for a while, learn from each other. Aev finds that even though he just
meeting that man, he already liked it.
Unlike most of the witches he had encountered so far, Lord Aang
it looks open and straightforward, with little appetite for secrets and deception.
“Are you the leader of the Aang Clan?” Aev finally asked.
Mr. Aang laughed. “I haven't held that title in a thousand years. Moments
this, my only job is to prevent the Academy dogs from getting
ide.” He sighed with disdain. “They really have become
too brave for their own good these past few centuries.”
“Are we safe from them here?” Aev asked. He understands that
after the death of the three powerful magicians of the Academy, people would definitely come
looking for those responsible.
“For now, you need not fear from the Academy,” said Lord Aang.
“They may believe I killed their people, and with them
as close as this is to my land, I will be in my right to
doing it,” He shook his head. “What you should be worried about is
as a result of your spectacle.”
“What are the consequences?” Aev asked, a little worried.
“Take a moment and see for yourself,” replied Lord Aang.
Aev did as the man said, closing his eyes and concentrating
his attention was on the Essence within him. Surprisingly, he found
that his body was flooded by Shadow Essence, more than he thought
in all probability.
In the sea of Shadow Essence, he was having a hard time finding his own Realm
others. When he finally does, he finds that despite the seal
Shadow covering his forbidden Realm was still intact, a new seal covered the Flame Realm and
His wind. Unlike the previous one, this seal was made from a type of Essence
unknown to Aev.
“You sealed my Realm?” Aev asked.
“I must,” said Mr. Aang. “The Realm Opening Pill you took is forcing
Your nature is open so far that your body now attracts more
Essence than it can handle.”
“That's possible?” Until now, Aev believed that his Essence was not
pose a threat to him.
“Clearly,” replied Lord Aang. “This is the first time I've seen her, but
then, this was the first time I had seen someone brave
taking ten Realm Opening pills,”
Aev nodded while thinking. It makes sense that the Realm Opening Pill would be
has a lasting effect.
“Usually,” continued the big man, “by the time a witch opened
his territory as far as yours, his body will have decades to
strengthening, or even centuries. You, on the other hand, still have a body
a human. “If it wasn't for your forbidden Nature, I doubt you still are
life.”
Aev almost choked. “You know about the forbidden Realm ?!”
“Not difficult to find out,” says Lord Aang. “Seals that cover it
well made – Shadows, I guess? – but when I check you,
the signs are hard to miss.”
“You can feel Shadow Essence?” Aev wonder. Until now, he
trust Mr. Joko, who has told him that the witches cannot
feeling the Shadow Essence of others.
“Of course not,” replied Lord Aang. “But I can feel the disturbance
inflicted on Essence around it.” Seeing Aev's face full of
worries, he added, “No need to worry. Very few witches
who can find it, and of them, I doubt anyone would be interested in
a mere Student. ”
Aev nodded, though he still felt worried, though,
put aside his worries for now.
“I can't be completely sure,” said Lord Aang, “but if I should
guessing, I would say that the Forbidden Realm is somehow getting used to
your body with the destructive power of Essence.”
Aev furrowed his brows in thought, but he remained silent.
“Not mean it will save you, of course,” Lord Aang
appending. “When I found you, you were only a few hours away from
the death. Even now, without the seal, you will be lucky to last a week.”
“Then what should I do?” Aev asked. From a view that is not
caring on Lord Aang's face, he could tell that the man had a solution
for that problem.
“There is only one thing you can do,” said Lord Aang. “You should
grow stronger, and fast.”
“So I just need to continue my magic practice?”
Lord Aang shook his head. “If you focus on magic, your body
it would take years to become strong enough just to
handle the Essence you can draw now. And if one of the seals
will fail during that time, you will definitely die.”
Aev frowned in confusion . “But if practicing magic is not
help, then what should I do?”
“What needs to be strengthened is your body,” said Lord Aang. “As
luck, I can help you.” A wide grin appeared on his face, and he
he seemed excited about the prospect.
“Strengthen my body?” Aev asked, wondering how it would be
help him fight Essence.
“Most witches only focus on Essence, ignoring their bodies,”
said Lord Aang. “But true strength requires strength in everything –
magical, mental, and physical.”
His face turned serious at these words, and he continued, “What is
will I teach you is Body Repair – ways to improve
the strength and endurance of your body goes beyond anything that can be achieved by
normal magic. Mastering it has many benefits, but one thing will
doing so is helping you control your Essence. “
Hearing this, Aev's eyes widened with interest. “When can I start?”
He asked .
“When you have recovered, in a week or two,” said Lord Aang,
smiling at Aev's impatience. “Until then, you can learn
this,”
She took a scroll from her robe and placed it on the dressing table
next to the bed.
“This roll contains body strengthening techniques,” he continued. “Study
this technique will help you recover from an injury faster, and so will you
fully recovered, we can start your actual training,”
Aev nodded. “I'll start soon,” he said, excited to
embarked.
Lord Aang smiled, then stood up. “Then I will leave you.
There are some things we need to discuss later, but that can wait.
For now, focus on recovery quickly. “
As soon as Lord Aang left, Aev opened the scroll and started reading.
Almost instantly, he saw that unlike the Realm Scrolls that had been
he read earlier, this is just plain writing – without any strange symbols, and
without Essence included in the character. Instead, the scroll
provide a detailed description of techniques to use and improve
energy of his own body.
Soon, Aev finds himself engrossed with the scroll. Technique is not
like anything he's ever met before, and the more he's
reading, the more excited he grew with the idea of learning it.
