Wizard Runners
Chapter 21's

From the sprawling and sprawling city center, climb one colossal tower. As such

the buildings that surrounded it, the tower was as white as snow

touched, and stood so high that it looked as if it was almost

touch clouds.

On the top floor of the tower was a large round room, thirty feet high and

hundred width. It was empty but for a single man. The man is tall

and thin, with long hair as white as marble from which the tower was made.

He stood still, looking out of the city from one of the bedroom windows.

A knock sounded at the door.

“Ink,” says the man.

The door opened, and another man entered the room. This man

short in stature, with sharp features and jet black hair.

“Mr Judge,” said the short man. “I bring troublesome news.”

“Oh?” said the white-haired man.

“Party we sent to Windballad convent,” continued the man. “They all

been dead.”

“Biara Windballad ...” The white-haired man furrowed his brows deeply

the mind. “That's a beginner Grandmaster, right? The person who sent word about

a Student with the forbidden Realm?”

“Yes, Mr. Judge,” said the short man. “We think it might be a trap, though,

which laid by Destruction agent.”

“Then find the culprit,” said Judge. “And get rid of them.”

The short man nodded, then asked, “What about the Student, Sir

Judge?”

“If there is, such a Student ..” The white-haired man raised

shoulders. “Catch him if you find him. Do not waste resources on

track it.”

“But Lord Judge,” said the man, a little surprised in his voice. “Dia

a forbidden Realm. Surely we can't—”

“Do you know how many youths with the forbidden Realm are fleeing

self of our hands every year?” The Judge's voice was strong, and the man was short

speechless.

The judge swung his hand against the wall, and a map appeared there. At

the map can be seen one region, shaped like a rough box, bordering

with seas to the south and east, mountains to the west, and deserts to the north.

“This is our Empire,” said the white-haired man. “It unfolds

ten thousand miles from the desert north to the sea south, and ten thousand others

from the east sea to the western mountains.”

The short man nodded, although a puzzled expression appeared on his face.

The judge continued to speak. “This past year, there are two in the capital, one in

near Three Peaks, one in Landra City, one on the Orangestone Peninsula.”.

As the white-haired man continued, small dots of white light

it appeared on the map with every location he named. After a few minutes,

the entire map was filled with many bright spots.

“So,” the white-haired man finally said, “

The short man looked unconvinced, but he still nodded. “If

left unchecked, any of them could rise up and become a threat to the

Empire.”

“Threat to the Empire?” The white-haired man smiled. “You

would worry about ants in the closet, while we have wolves in

door?”

“Wolf?” The short man's expression became uncomfortable. “Askim

more stable than for centuries. The Chaos Army hasn't gotten

footing here,”

The judge shook his head. “You're so busy looking at the page

behind your own house so you don't pay attention to what's going on

flip fence.”

He waved his hand, and instantly the map widened outward, growing

the bigger and bigger it gets until it covers the entire wall of the round room

that's. , up to the ceiling. The entire map was vast, filled with land, and,

endless mountains, seas, and deserts,

With another wave of his hand, most of the map turned into

dark grey. Only the Empire and a few other regions remained as a point

bright in the sea of charcoal.

The short man looked shocked, his face paled. “Is this ..” He is not

finish words.

expression grim. “More than a dozen areas still survive, including

Empire.”

“Then what do we do?” The short man's voice trembled anxiously.

“Our task has not changed,” said the white-haired man. “We fight

power Destruction.”

“But how can we win?” the short man asked.

“We can't,” said the white-haired man clearly. ” That can

we do is delay the end.

” ———“

“Is it gone?” Aang Feng asked, a voice filled with anxiety.

Mr. Joko gave him a small mirror, which he received with trembling hands.

He spent a few moments examining himself closely, then finally

he heaved a sigh of relief when he saw that he had returned to appearance

length of time.

“It was terrible,” he said, seeming to tremble remembering it.

It had been almost two weeks since they left the monastery, and Aang Feng

complaining every day about the appearance that Master Joko gave her.

Several times, she begged him to at least make it look like

a woman or, failing that, a handsome young man.

Lord Joko did not budge, and when Aang Feng understood that the man

not to be persuaded, he instead spends most of his time

complaining to Aev.

The cold attitude he showed when they first met

now it's gone, but Aev isn't sure if he likes change

that's. The new Aang Feng was very talkative, he thought.

“Your turn,” said Mr. Joko, turning towards Aev.

Mr. Joko made a strange move, and Aev could see the air becoming blurred in

around himself. He thought he could sense a bit of Essence when the man

doing his magic, even though he couldn't say what kind of Essence it was.

When the air brightened again a moment later, Aev found Aang Feng

looking at him, confused.

“Mr Emberworthy,” – she has stopped calling Mr. Joko ‘Archmage’

at his insistence – “ the disguise is not good at all.”

“Why is that?” Mr. Joko asked.

“You made Brother Wei An look like an Easterner,” said Aang Feng.

“Blonde hair, blue eyes .. It looks ridiculous! Easterners in the Empire

this one? No one will believe it,” He shook his head with

disapproval. “And he doesn't even look handsome ..”

Aev's face fell as consciousness emerged. “Call me Aev,” he said rudely.

“Not Wei An.”

“Aev?” He said the name several times, sounding the syllable.

Finally, he shook his head again. “It doesn't even sound like

name of. Why not find something better? Maybe something like

…”

“Because,” Aev cut it, try your best to keep calm, “my name

Aev.”

Aang Feng's eyes instantly widened with understanding. ” You— You people

East ?! What are you really like ?! But but..”

Aev sighed deeply, deciding that he preferred the

earlier, Aang Feng was colder.

“It's enough,” said Mr. Joko. He pulled the scroll from his robe, then

handing it to Aang Feng. “Learn this. I hope you're done in one

clock,”

Aev instantly forgot, his eyes turned bright. “What is a Realm Scroll?” her

ask with passion.

Mr. Joko nodded. “The scroll will give you the Shadow Realm. Tonight, this,

you will open it.”

“Tonight?” he asked . “I should have opened the Realm in one

night?”

“I'll help you open it,” said Mr. Joko, cutting off more questions

what he has with the wave of his hand.

Remembering the black pill that Master Joko used to help him open

His first realm,

Given the experience, he couldn't help but

shivered. He was not envious of Aang Feng.
