Cleantha walked towards the King's study. He was surprised to see the door half open. Moreover, it looks like some items fell scattered on the floor. The King's desk was also in a mess as if there had just been a fight in the room.
Slowly, Cleantha went inside. He saw the king sitting down and bowing his head. One hand held the phone, while the other looked flushed.
Cleantha approached, squinting her eyes in order to see more clearly. He only realized that there was a bloody wound on the back of the King's hand.
"Sir, why is your hand hurt like this? Just wait here, I'll get you a medicine box for you, sir" Cleantha said as she walked away.
"No need, Clea. Sit here, I want to talk to you, "prevent the King.
Cleantha saw the King's face harden. It was very different from the happy expression he saw when they came home from the hospital.
Cleantha delayed her intention to ask about Zevira's departure from the house.
"What's up, Mister?"
"Clea, do you remember anything about that night at the hotel? Do you think Alvian did anything to you?"
The King's sudden question left Cleantha shocked. I don't know why he went back to talking about this shameful tragedy.
If they have agreed to refer, the King should not bring up the issue.
"I don't remember anything, sir. But I'm sure Mr. Alvian didn't do anything to me. What's the matter, sir?" cleantha asked not understanding.
"Isn't that time Keyla was staying in the room with you? Can you call him now? I want to talk to him" the king said, handing over his cell phone to Cleantha.
"Yes, Sir. I'll try to call my sister" Cleantha replied, dialing Keyla's mobile number.
"Tuuuttt, tuuutttt." There was a ringtone from Keyla's phone.
Shortly after, Keyla receives a call from Cleantha.
"Hello, sorry who is this?" keyla asked not to recognize the King's mobile number.
"Sister, it's me, Clea. I'm using Mr. King's phone number. The King wants to talk to Brother for a moment."
"Hello, Keyla," said the King to take over his cell phone.
From her voice, Keyla sounded reluctant to receive a call from the King.
"What do you want to talk about? Would you like to force me to bless your relationship with my sister?" asked Keyla coldly.
"No, I want to ask you about the night Cleantha and Alvian were framed by Fendi. It was you who found them in the hotel room. Did you see Alvian do something to Cleantha?"
Keyla was silent for a moment, trying to digest the words of the King.
"Why did you ask that? It happened more than two weeks ago" Keyla asked suspiciously.
"Because Cleantha is pregnant" replied the honest King.
"Pregnant??? This is impossible. My sister is young. She's not ready to have children yet" Keyla said from behind the phone.
"Please, Keyla. I need your explanation now. I have to make sure that I am the father of the child Cleantha conceived," urged the King impatiently.
Bak heard the sound of thunder in the afternoon, Cleantha was stunned. A sudden chill spread all over his body. Revealed what the King meant to ask him to contact Keyla.
Cleantha's feelings were torn apart in an instant. The king has not changed. He still likes to be prejudiced. Even worse, her husband now doubts the identity of the baby in his womb. He even accused her of being pregnant as a result of her illicit relationship with Alvian.
In a way, Keyla felt this was her best chance to separate Cleantha from the King.
"Master, I did find them sound asleep in the room. But when I came in, Mr. Alvian's clothes were already open. And Cleantha too. So, I don't know for sure what happened to them before" Keyla explained, deliberately giving an ambiguous story.
"Are you telling the truth?" asked the King to emphasize his voice.
"Of course, sir. Why I lied about my brother. Even then I asked Mr. Alvian to marry Cleantha. I think my sister's good name will definitely be ruined because I've had a relationship with Mr. Alvian."
Hearing what Keyla said, the King's heart heated up. He ended his call and stared intently at Cleantha.
While Cleantha looked back at the King with misty eyes due to the puddles of tears.
"Sir, now I know why your hand is hurt. It turns out you don't believe that the child I bear is Mr.'s son. Master doubted my loyalty" Cleantha said in disappointment.
"Clea, I don't blame you. At that time you were unconscious. But Vira admitted that she had Fendi put stimulants into Alvian's drink. That means maybe you already have." said the King could not continue his sentence.
The king stood up from his chair while sighing deeply. Trying to ease his still turbulent emotions.
"If you look at your gestational age, it's most likely my son. But frankly I'm not a man who can be heartened."
"A..what do you mean, sir?" asked Cleantha stammering.
"I'm sorry, Clea. I can't go through a household with a wife who's been tainted by another man. Moreover, that man is my own sister. If I push myself, then every time I see you, I will definitely remember the times when you had a romance with my sister."
"I once felt this painful when I caught Zevira cheating on me with Fendi. And since then, I won't touch Zevira again. My wife is all my own. I don't want him to be owned by anyone else either" the King said in a raucous voice.
"Tu.n."
Cleantha's lips twitched. He could not believe what was said from the king's mouth. Just now he thought the King loved him very much, but his conjecture missed.
The love of the King is easily shaken. I don't know what Zevira and Keyla said, so her husband immediately changed his mind. She even said she no longer wanted to live with him.
"I will take care of you and the baby in your womb. I'll also cover all of your labor costs, providing whatever facilities you need. But we can no longer be husband and wife. After the baby is born I will do a DNA test. If she's proven to be my biological child, then I'll raise her well."
Sentence after sentence the King spoke, like arrows shot one by one into Cleantha's heart. It causes a wide gaping wound incision even though the wound does not bleed.
Cleantha stood up from her seat and dropped a null look at the King.
"Master, now I understand. You never really loved me. Although I have no experience in love, but I know that trust and sincerity are the main basis of love."
"Master trusts the words of others more than I do. Had I been tainted, you should have been able to be sincere and accept me for who I am. But you didn't do both of those things. It's better if we part ways soon. Even though I was poor, I still had a home and a job. I can certainly finance all my own needs. I beg you to say goodbye, Sir," Cleantha replied in a trembling voice.
Without looking again at the King, Cleantha stepped away. He regretted having hoped much for a man who always changed his stance like King Adhiyaksa.
