The Wife of the King's Pay
Chapter 111 Makes You Fall in Love Again (Part 1)

Cleantha was fixated for a moment. There was something piercing the recesses of his heart when he heard the King's confession. Either he felt unprepared or this all happened beyond his expectations. But he caught the sincerity of the eyes of the man who was staring at him in the darkness of the night.

If it were true that the human body was emitting a certain wave of vibration, then it must be the energy of despair that the King was now emitting. And Cleantha could feel the man's emotional fragility. Even the King's normally warm and sturdy hands, were now slightly trembling as he clasped his hands.

It was only at this moment that he learned that his view of the King was wrong. All this time he regarded the King as a selfish man who only knew how to hurt women. She also hated the King and regretted being his wife. Unexpectedly, the King had loved her a long time ago. It's just that he didn't have the guts to admit it.

Tucked a sense of regret in Cleantha. But he was unable to describe how he felt for the current King. All the love he had given to Alvian. He was not sure if he could accept another man to take Alvian's place in his heart.

"Clea, are you going to give me one more chance?" asked the King to vent. The chain that bound her soul seemed to have just slipped out after she expressed her love for Cleantha.

"Master," Cleantha said with a trembling voice.

"If I had heard this when I was Master's wife, I would have been the happiest woman. But our circumstances have changed. I'm no longer the Cleantha you used to know. Now I am the brother-in-law of Mr and his mother Almero. I'm sure you already have another woman after Kak Vira's departure. That's why the feelings that are left over from the past we have to erase."

Hearing Cleantha's reply, the King immediately let go of her hand.

"Does this mean you reject me? I admit I have a lover. But it's just my escape to forget you."

"Honestly, Clea, do you still hate me?" ask the King in disappointment.

"I have forgiven you for a long time. I say this because I don't want to make you hurt. Frankly, I am not ready to accept any man. I still love my late husband very much" Cleantha replied, breaking the King's heart for the umpteenth time.

"If you don't hate me anymore why are you acting like this to me? Did you not leave behind even a little bit of your feelings for me? And this villa...didn't you remember the memories of the two of us here?" asked the King to look at the woman he loved.

Cleantha's lips didn't shake. Seeing the suffering the King felt, his heart also felt the same pain.

Indeed, he also remembered their time together, but the affection of love was gone over time.

"I...."

"Not to go on, Clea. Maybe I didn't know myself because I expressed my feelings too quickly. I just don't want to miss a second chance."

"I'm sorry, sir. I didn't mean to hurt you, sir" Cleantha said in guilt.

"Here I am, I am a man immune to pain. From betrayal to heartbreak everything I've ever experienced" said the King cast his gaze toward the night sky.

"Now go back to your room. Thank you for the bread and tea. My words just assume you never heard it," said the King closing the conversation.

Cleantha was moved to comfort the King. But if he did it would give the man false hope.

"I'm sorry, Sir. Good night," said Cleantha passed away.

The king looked at Cleantha's back with a pushy look. Could he possibly lose this woman forever? Destiny opens the way for them to get back together. Somehow realizing this made the King's determination stronger.

"Clea, I don't want to lose you. There is no barrier or third person between us. It is time for me to fight for your love. I'll definitely make you fall in love with me again,"

muttered King.

...****************...

The next morning, they gathered in the dining room. The kids look very excited to continue their vacation.

"Daddy, are we going to the mountain today and camp?" tanya Ivyna was wearing her backpack.

"Daddy's hand is still sick, Ivy. We just walk around the lake" said the king.

"King, your face is pale. You seem to be less healthy. You better rest in the villa" said Mrs. The marina.

The King hardly slept overnight because of anxiety. This morning his head was also dizzy even though he was trying to hide it.

"I don't want to trouble Papa and Mama" said the King.

"Don't underestimate us, King. We are still strong if we just go down the lake. Isn't that right, Marina?"

"Yes, right. Then let's go now."

Mrs. Marina took Almero's hand, while Mr. Bayu took Ivyna.

Cleantha prepared to bring supplies and followed them out of the villa. But the two old men prevented him at the door.

"Clea, don't come with us. Help the King to take care of his wounds. It's a pity if he has to live alone in the villa in a state of illness" said Mrs. The marina.

"Ma, but...."

"Look, the kids will have fun with me and Bayu."

"Bye, Mom," said Almero waving his hand.

After saying that, Mother. Marina and Mr. Bayu took the children into the car. This was indeed part of their grand plan to bring the King and Cleantha closer together. That is by providing opportunities for them to be alone in the villa without interference.

Cleantha looked at the departure of her in-laws and children with a sense of unwillingness. It was hard for him to stay alone with the King all day.

"May they come home soon. Now I will treat Lord King's wounds first. Then I'll prepare lunch,"

inner Cleantha compiled her schedule of activities.

Cleantha took the medicine box and searched for the King's whereabouts. The man was still in the middle room, but now he disappeared.

"Where is the Lord King? Did he go into his room? If he's in the room, I can't catch up with him. But it's about time the bandages have to be replaced,"

cleantha thought worried.

Still overwhelmed with doubt, Cleantha knocked on the door of the King's room.

"Sir, are you inside? Please come out for a moment, I want to change the bandage Master," Cleantha called out loudly.

"Just enter, the door is unlocked. My head is dizzy" replied the King from behind the door.

Cleantha weighed in for a moment. Finally, he decided to go into the room. He would treat the King's wounds as quickly as possible then rush off. Nothing will happen between them.

"Excuse me, Mister. I'll change the bandages" said Cleantha seeing the King lying down.

The king got up and sat down on the bed. He closed his eyes to get rid of the dizziness that was afflicting him.

Without wasting any time, Cleantha opened the bandage that was on the King's arm. He applied the wound medicine and then covered it with a new bandage.

"Sir, is your head so dizzy?" cleantha asked concernedly looking at the King's condition.

"Yes." Yeah."

"Wait here, sir. I'll get you some headache medicine."

Cleantha was about to move, but the King's hand suddenly restrained her arm.

"I don't need medicine. I will heal when someone massages my head" said the King, still with his eyes closed.
