The Wife of the King's Pay

The Wife of the King's Pay
Chapter 108 Vacation Plan

Cleantha tried to eat quickly so as not to stay in the restaurant too long.

"Sir, please bill," said the King calling the servant.

The restaurant waiter handed the bill to the King.

"Master, let me pay my food bills" Cleantha said.

"I'll pay first so we can go home soon. All I have to pick up Ivyna at your house" replied the King.

He felt annoyed at Cleantha's over-indulgent attitude. It was as if the woman did not want to receive her kindness the slightest item.

They remained silent until they arrived at Cleantha's house.

"Oh, you guys are coming home together?" ask Ny. Marina sees the King delivering Cleantha.

"I'm going to pick up Ivyna, Ma. Papa Bayu said he's here."

"That's Ivy in the living room watching a movie" Mrs said. Marina told the King.

"Ma, is Almero asleep?" cleantha asked her mother-in-law.

"Yes, he just fell asleep about ten minutes ago."

"Then I go upstairs, Ma. I'm gonna take a break. Ivy, Mommy Clea to the room yeah," said Cleantha lightly touching Ivyna's cheek.

"Yes, Mommy. Good night."

Cleantha climbs the steps, leaving behind Ivyna, the King, and Ny. Marina's downstairs.

Seeing Cleantha's cold demeanor, the King hurriedly invited his daughter to leave the house.

"Ivy, let's go home."

"Dad, can I stay here? Just for today's. At home I feel bored," whined Ivyna.

"Don't Ivy, we'll bother Almero and his mommy."

"But, Daddy, I'm happy to be at Mommy Clea's. Mommy Clea is my mommy too. He won't be mad if I stay here."

"Ivy, Stop it! Follow the words of Daddy. We go home now," said the King forcing his daughter.

"King, just let Ivy stay here. Clea won't mind. You can also accompany Ivy to sleep in the guest room," said Mrs. Marina supports Ivyna's wishes.

"Sorry, Ma. I feel more comfortable sleeping in my own house. I don't want to trouble Cleantha. Good night, Ma."

After saying goodbye, the King took Ivyna out of Cleantha's house. He did not care about Ivyna who was reluctant to go back to his own home.

Actually the King was not angry at his daughter, but he felt broken charcoal facing Cleantha. The attitude of the woman is hard to guess. Sometimes he was friendly and friendly but in an instant turned cold and indifferent.

"I must not let Ivyna get too close to the lives of Almero and Cleantha. It will only make him wish that no-no. Moreover, she still regarded Clea as her mother,"

muttered Raja while holding Ivyna's hand.

Mrs. Marina shook her head at Cleantha and the King's behavior. With their attitude away from each other, it is impossible for them to be united again in the bond of marriage. If it continues like this, the King can choose another woman to be his wife. And that means unity within the Adhiyaksa family will not be realized.

To relieve his pain, Mrs. Marina went into the room and contacted Mr. Bayu.

"Night, Bayu, have you slept?"

"Not yet, Marina, I'm reading a book. Did something happen that you called me these nights?"

"I just want to ask your opinion on Cleantha and the King."

"What's wrong? Aren't the two of them getting closer because of Ivyna and Almero?"

"No, Bayu, they keep their distance from each other. I could see it from the gestures of their bodies and their words. I don't know what else to do. Maybe we should just cancel the plan to match Cleantha and the King."

"Marina, don't give up this easily. We need to be patient to wait for the development of their relationship."

Mr. Bayu thought for a moment and continued his words.

"I have a plan to get them together."

"What plan, Bayu?"

"We're going to persuade Ivyna and Almero to take their parents on a weekend getaway. We both have to come along to convince them. What say?"

"But where are we going on vacation?"

"To the villa King. The king had a villa near the mountains. The air's cool, perfect for unwinding."

...****************...

Cleantha was relieved after a three-hour meeting with Mr. Kenny and Ms. Devi. They seemed satisfied to hear Cleantha's explanation about the financial condition of Adhiyaksa Group. In addition, the King also gave him help.

After the meeting, Cleantha returned to her own room to calm down.

He saw a golden invitation placed on his desk.

"Whose wedding invitation is this? I'm gonna ask Ryan,"

inner Cleantha while pressing the intercom button.

"Good afternoon, Mom?" greet Ryan.

"Sore, Ryan, did you put the invitation on my desk?"

"Yes, Mom, it's the wedding invitation of the son of the owner of Dewantara Group, Mr. Hadinata. Mr. Hadinata is a former business associate of Mr. Wijaya. He was also very familiar with Lord Alvian and Lord King. He sent two invitations. One for the Lord King and one for Miss Cleantha."

"Well, Ryan, thank you" said Cleantha.

Cleantha read the contents of the invitation carefully. To be honest, he did not want to attend any party. But considering Alvian was close to Mr. Hadinata, inevitably he had to fulfill the invitation.

"The offer is still next week. I'll take Mama Marina to the wedding reception. Today I'll be home in time to accompany Almero to study,"

cleantha thought she had the invitation in her desk drawer.

...****************...

"Mom, can I go with Ivyna on Saturday?" ask Almero at dinner.

"Where do you want to go?"

"I want to go to the mountain," replied Almero innocently.

"The mountain? Are you sure?" cleantha asked.

Seeing Cleantha's surprised expression, Miss. Marina immediately gave an explanation.

"So Bayu and Ivyna took us on a two-day vacation at the King's villa. Located close to the mountains. Mama agrees because Mama thinks Almero needs entertainment. Since his Daddy died, Almero has rarely been out of the house. This holiday will definitely make her cheerful."

Hearing about the villa in the mountains, instantly Cleantha's old memory twisted back.

The villa was the place to spend a honeymoon with the King. Many memories are stored there, including when the King carried him for the first time. He really did not want to set foot in the villa. For him all he needs to remember is his love with Alvian.

"Ma, I can't allow Almero to take a vacation there. The villa was surrounded by a forest, not suitable for children. I'd better take Almero to the jungle park," refused Cleantha.

"Come on, Mommy. I want to go there" Almero said.

"Clea, don't worry. There will be Mama, Bayu, and Raja. We can all help you look after Almero. Mama said yes to Bayu anyway."

Almero poked her head spoiled in Cleantha's arms.

"Please, Mommy..."

"Congratulations, Honey. We will go there," Clea replied forced to budge for the happiness of her little son.

...****************...

The king went into Ivyna's room to see if her daughter was asleep. He was amazed to see Ivyna still reading his favorite comics.

"Ivy, you're not going to Almero's house today?"

"I'm there, Daddy. But I came home early because I wanted to ask Daddy something."

"What is that, honey?" asked the King in curiosity.

Ivyna moved closer to the King. His eyes formed puppy eyes for his Daddy to grant his request.

"Daddy, Saturday I'm taking Almero, Grandma, and Mommy Clea to our mountain villa. Can you, Daddy? Grandpa agreed to it."

The king knitted his brows so as to form a straight line.

"Why did Ivyna suddenly ask for a vacation to the villa? That villa was my honeymoon spot with Cleantha. If I go there, I'll recollect all the memories of the past,"

thought the King was feeling troubled.
