The Wife of the King's Pay

The Wife of the King's Pay
Chapter 115 Starts to Emboss Flavors (Part 2)

When Cleantha walked into the living room, Almero immediately hugged her mother.

Mrs. Marina looked delighted to see the King deliver Cleantha home.

"King, let's have dinner together" she said. The marina.

"Thank you, Ma. But did the Madam let me have dinner here?" asked the King to glance at Cleantha. The woman had only been silent since they were still on their way home.

Before Cleantha gave an answer, Almero first drew the King's hand to the dining table.

"Come on, Uncle. Let's have dinner."

Seeing Almero holding the King's hand, Cleantha let him go.

"Ma, I'm going upstairs for a little shower. I won't be long" Cleantha said goodbye to her mother-in-law.

"Yes, Clea."

The king looked at Cleantha who was climbing the stairs without looking at him.

"King, be patient. Cleantha will take you for a long time" said Ms. The marina.

"Yes, Ma, I get it."

About thirty minutes later, Cleantha came down from the second floor. She wore a satin white nightgown, which made her look fresh and beautiful.

Cleantha's appearance reminded the King of their past memories as husband and wife. At that time, every night he was free to look at Cleantha in a nightgown and they would spend the night together. I really want to repeat those good times.

Cleantha joined the dining table. Deftly, he prepared food for Almero and Ivyna. Unexpectedly by the King, Cleantha also took food for him.

"Here, sir, please eat."

"Thank you" said the King.

"King, Mama thinks you should get married quickly so that someone accompanies you to dinner like this. The warmth of the family can not be replaced with anything" said Mrs. The marina.

"I want it to be, too, Ma. It's just that the woman I want to marry has not returned my love," replied the King deliberately provoking Cleantha's reaction.

Hearing the insinuation towards her, Cleantha switched the conversation.

"Ma, tomorrow Saturday Mr. Hadinata invites us to his son's wedding reception. Would you like to come with me?" ask Cleantha.

"Mama now has no interest in coming to a frenzied party with people, Clea. You just come to the invitation with the King."

Hearing his stepmother's reply, the King got a breath of fresh air. She knew Cleantha was trying to escape, but the goddess Fortuna was on her side. Mrs. Marina refuses to attend and that means she can be alone with Cleantha.

After dinner, the king took Ivyna home. The father and daughter were both reluctant to leave Cleantha's residence.

"Mommy Clea, can't you start tomorrow if Daddy and I stay here? Or Mommy Clea, Grandma, and Almero who moved into my house? So we'll be together every day" Ivyna asked.

Hearing Ivyna's question, Cleantha was at a loss as to what to answer. He tried to give an explanation that could be understood by a twelve-year-old.

"Ivy, two adults must marry first as a husband and wife if they want to live in one house. That's a requirement that can't be violated."

Ivyna furrowed her brows.

"So that means Daddy and Mommy Clea have to get married."

Ivyna turned to the King.

"Daddy, how about Daddy get married tomorrow to Mommy Clea? I want us all to stay together" Ivyna said.

Mrs. Marina and the King laughed at Ivyna's request. The child really thinks marriage is as simple as buying candy or toys.

"Ivy, the wedding needs preparation. Can't be held immediately tomorrow," explained Mrs. The marina.

"When will my Daddy and Mommy Clea get married, Grandma?"

Mrs. Marina shrugged her shoulders.

"Grandma doesn't know either. Maybe next month, just ask your Daddy."

The king simply smiled as he stroked his daughter's hair. Hoping Cleantha would change her mind after hearing for herself the sincere wish Ivyna had uttered.

...****************...

Cleantha was leaning on Alvian's shoulder. Around it was a flower garden, similar to where they had honeymooned.

"Al, I miss you. I want us to be able to both be like this forever," said Cleantha stroking her husband's delicate handsome face.

Alvian smiled then tightened his embrace.

"I also want to always be by your side. Believe that our love will always be stored in a special space in our hearts."

With a very shady look, Alvian looked at his wife.

"But, Clea, now is the time for you to be happy. Look to your future with Almero, and feel free to start a new life."

"What do you mean, Al?" cleantha asked not understanding.

Cleantha closed her eyes in Alvian's embrace. It feels so comfortable and warm. All his anxiety disappeared instantly.

The loud sound from the cell phone alarm suddenly resuscitated Cleantha from dreamland.

"Gosh, six o'clock past forty minutes. Good thing it's the weekend,"

inner Cleantha flicked her bed cover.

A feeling of disappointment filled his heart. All the happiness he felt was just a dream.

Cleantha woke up and stroked Almero who was still sound asleep beside her. His son was small and looked fragile. Almero's journey is still long. During that process he needed guidance and protection from the father and mother figure. Almero has lost her real father forever.

"Daddy," stirred Almero up all of a sudden. He moved restlessly while delirious.

Cleantha immediately stroked Almero's back to make her son calm down again.

"Al, is it because of this that you came in my dream? You want Almero to have a father,"

cleantha thought with teary eyes.

Cleantha had just gotten out of bed when Almero had calmed down. Before taking a bath, Cleantha grabbed one of Almero's birthday memories. At that time Alvian hugged him while holding Almero who was just two years old.

"Al, if one day I have to remarry, I will do it for our son. But my love for you will never fade,"

inner Cleantha shed tears.

...****************...

Cleantha came out of her room wearing a long black dress. Combined with a rose gold necklace and partially raised hair, Cleantha looked charming that night. He took Almero carefully to get down from the second floor.

The king was waiting in the middle room. He was wearing a dark grey party suit.

While waiting for Cleantha, the King chatted with Ny. The marina. But when he saw Cleantha's arrival, his eyes could not be seen his ex-wife. I don't know why the more days of his love for Cleantha seemed to grow deeper. There was nothing he wanted more right now than to protect and make Cleantha and Almero happy.

"Mommy have to go now. Almero don't be naughty. Sleep with Grandma" said Cleantha, peeping her son's cheek.

"Okey, Mommy."

"Enjoy the party, Cleantha. Mama will accompany Almero until she sleeps."

"Thank you, Ma" Cleantha said goodbye to Ms. The marina.

"Ma, I'm leaving."

"Yes, King. Take good care of Cleantha" replied Ms. The marina.

Mrs. Marina stared at the King and Cleantha's departure expectantly.

They are a very compatible couple. His priest was handsome and dashing, while his woman was beautiful and graceful.

"May Clea accept the King's proposal tonight."

...****************...

The Hadinata family wedding reception is running lively. Most of his invited guests were prominent businessmen, officials, and influential people. No wonder the party was so exclusive.

In the middle of the event, the King and Cleantha meet with their business relations, not least Evander. The man kissed Cleantha's palm as they rebuked.

"Night, Cleantha. You're so pretty," praises Evander.

"Thank you, Mr. Evan."

Seeing Evander's behavior, the King became upset. He grabbed Cleantha by the waist and invited her to sit at the table that had been specially prepared for them.

"Sorry, Evan, we have to go to our table."

"Oh yes, please King."

Evander felt suspicious seeing the King's attitude towards Cleantha. Moreover, the King did not hesitate to hug his sister-in-law affectionately in front of him.

From this fact Evan draws the conclusion that the King likes Cleantha. And if that's true, he'll have to step down. There is no way he will win if he has to compete against the King.

"Master, don't hug me. At this party, many people know us. Do not let any gossip arise," said Cleantha let go of the hand of the King.

"Not to worry about the views of others. We won't be here long. After shaking hands with the bride and her parents, we'll go somewhere else."

Cleantha was shocked to hear the King's words.

"Where are we going, sir?"

"If I tell you now, it won't be a surprise anymore" whispered the King.
