The Wife of the King's Pay

The Wife of the King's Pay
Chapter 29 The First Job (Part 1)

That fun day passed so quickly. Cleantha had to be faced back to the fact that she was a temporary guest in that mansion.

"Daddy, I want to show Mommy this unicorn doll" Ivyna said as soon as they got home.

The king nodded and let his daughter go.

He received a call from Dion and went to his study. Cleantha walked alone to the room.

"Mommy, look Daddy bought me a pink unicorn" Ivyna said.

Zevira who was lying on the bed only smiled faintly. His face looked lethargic.

"That's great, Ivy. Come on, baby, Mommy wants to hug Ivy."

The little girl slid into his mother's arms.

"Are you enjoying your holiday?" tanya Zevira stroked Ivyna's hair.

"Yes, Mommy. I love it so much."

"Mommy would love to come, but Daddy forbids. Mommy's so sad that Mommy's sick now."

"Mommy hurts what?" vyna asked, rounding her eyes.

"Mommy's dizzy, honey. Mommy misses Ivy and Daddy. Will Ivy sleep with Mommy tonight?"

"Yes, Mommy."

"Can Ivy take Daddy along too? It's been a long time since we slept three," Zevira said, affecting her daughter.

"Okey, Mommy."

"Well, now Ivy takes a shower and then has dinner. Then take Daddy to Mommy's room."

Ivyna nodded, a sign of understanding Zevira's command.

In his heart Zevira was satisfied that his plan had succeeded. He was sure the King would not be able to refuse the request of his beloved daughter.

At least today he had yet to suffer a crushing defeat from Cleantha.

All morning until evening the girl may have fun because she has a husband and children. But at night he will win this fight. He must prove that he is still the queen in the Adhiyaksa residence.

At dinner, Zevira did not show up at all. There was only the King, Cleantha, and Ivyna and her nanny in the dining room.

Before leaving the dinner table, as usual the King hugged Ivyna and said good-bye to his daughter.

"Daddy, tonight Mommy's taking us to bed in her room. Come on, Daddy," take Ivyna out of the King's hand.

"Ivy just slept with Mommy. Daddy's still got work to do."

Ivyna pursed her lips.

"Daddy, Mommy's sick. Come with Mommy."

The king took a quick glance at Cleantha before giving an answer. While Cleantha chose to lower her face so that they would not meet a look.

"Ivy, let's go to Mommy Clea. If Mommy Clea says yes, Daddy will sleep with Ivy" the King said suddenly.

Cleantha gasped at the King's words. I don't know what the goal is so that the man throws responsibility on her to make a decision.

"Mommy Clea, will you?"

"Yes.iya, Ivy. Of course," Cleantha replied stammering.

"Daddy, said Mommy Clea may."

"Then Daddy goes to the room first to change clothes. Ivyna to Mommy Vira's room now, Daddy's coming."

Ivyna nodded cheerfully.

The king walked out of the dining room to return to his room.

In order not to meet the King, Cleantha tried to make sense. He decided to go to the kitchen to get a snack he could bring.

"Mbak Narti, are there any potato chips?"

"Sorry, ma'am, the potato chips are out. There's only popcorn here."

"By, Bi. I want one."

The waiter handed a cup of popcorn to Cleantha.

"May the King be no longer in the room. If not, I'll pretend to eat this popcorn until she's gone."

Cleantha deliberately slowed her way to the room.

He was sure the King was in his first wife's room by now. But his estimates missed. The man was still sitting on the bed holding his phone.

"Why did it just come? Do you want to get away from me?" asked the King to stand up to him.

"No, Mister. I was still hungry and wanted to eat" Cleantha said showing the popcorn she was carrying.

"You think my room is the place to watch a movie?"

The king scrunched his forehead.

"Since your feet sprained you never eat again before going to bed. Why did you suddenly return to your old habits?" ask the King suspiciously.

"No. Precisely in my opinion it is better every night with Mr. Vira and Ivyna."

For some reason, when she said that, Cleantha felt her heart contradict her words.

"It's a shame I don't need your opinion. I waited for you because I wanted to remind you. Don't make a mess in my room as long as I'm not around. Or I'll have you clean this room for five days in a row."

Cleantha rolled her eyes lazily. He was used to hearing such threats from the King.

"Yes, Sir."

"Tomorrow you start working at my company. Office hours are eight in the morning. You must have arrived at the office thirty minutes earlier. It's up to you to take a taxi, a taxi, a bus or whatever you want. I will not provide car facilities for you. Soon Dion will call to say whatever you have to do."

Having satisfied Cleantha, the King departed from his room.

...****************...

Cleantha put the popcorn on the table. He was no longer interested in eating.

Cleantha was about to change into a nightgown, when there was a knock on the door.

"Who is that? Is Lord King back again?"

muttered Cleantha while opening the door.

"Bi Goddess?" cleantha was shocked to see Zevira's loyal servant coming to her room.

"Mrs, sorry to bother you at night. I'd like to give Mrs Zevira's shirt to you. Mrs Zevira is sick, so can't see you. He told the lady to wear one of these clothes on the first day of work."

"Thank you, Bi. Please tell Brother Vira, I'll wear it."

"Good, Mistress. Excuse me."

Bi Dewi hurriedly left Cleantha's room as if worried that her existence would be known to others.

Cleantha keeps Zevira's clothes in the closet.

Not long after, Dion contacted him.

"Night, Miss Cleantha, I'd like to tell you what you have to do tomorrow morning at the office. Your position is as cashier and petty cash staff."

"Before going to the finance division, you must meet the HRD Manager, Ms. Rosalia, to sign the employment contract letter. After that Miss went straight to the finance division on the fourth floor. Miss can find Mr. Setyo, your manager and supervisor in the finance division," explained Dion at length.

"Is there anything you want to ask, Miss?" ask Dion before ending his call.

"Nothing, Mr. Dion. I understand."

"Good break, Miss. Hope your work goes well tomorrow."

After talking to Dion, Cleantha changed her nightgown and climbed onto the bed.

He looked at the bed next to him which was empty without the presence of the King.

Although they rarely communicated, Cleantha was already used to the presence of the King as her bedmate.

And when the King was not there, there seemed to be nothing lacking in the room.

"Rather than thinking of the no-no, I'd rather sleep. I have to get up early tomorrow so I'm not late for the office,"

cleantha muttered with determination.

...****************...

Cleantha held onto the two work suits that Zevira gave her. It had been fifteen minutes he had tried to make a choice. The more he looked at it, the two clothes looked even more terrifying.

But not wanting to disappoint Zevira, Cleantha finally chose a red suit.

"Although the skirt is short, at least the top is still polite. I'll change this shirt once I get to the office,"

cleantha.

He immediately put on the suit and combed his hair.

Cleantha wanted to rush away before the King returned to his room.

"It's only six in the morning. The trip to the office takes about thirty minutes. It doesn't matter if I leave now than I meet Lord King. And then I still have a chance to change my clothes."

Cleantha grabbed her bag and opened the door.

Unexpectedly, he almost hit the King who turned out to be at the door.

"Sir, are you awake?"

The king squinted his eyes while looking at Cleantha's completely changed appearance.

The girl wore makeup combined with a blouse and a short, bright red skirt. Showing his curves as well as his white skin.

"Where are you going? Are you interested in cleaning up my office building by leaving so early?" ask the King in wonder.

"Then why are your clothes so flashy? You gonna go to work or you wanna flirt with a guy?" connect the King with a dislike look.

"I'm sorry, sir, I've been waiting for a taxi up ahead. Excuse me."

Half-running, Cleantha rushed to leave the King before the man blocked her steps.
