The Wife of the King's Pay

The Wife of the King's Pay
Chapter 25 The Trap of Zevira (Part 2)

With her favorite red dress, Zevira appeared full of confidence. He was sure Cleantha would lose far away from him if they walked together. In fact he hoped people would think Cleantha was just his servant.

Zevira's estimate missed.

Accepted at once upset. That was the feeling that pervaded him when he saw the visual appearance of the young girl.

The pastel-colored knee-length dress she wore plus a little polish, made Cleantha look feminine and stunning.

"Clea, where'd you get a dress this beautiful?"

"Lord bought me some clothes. This dress is one of them. I wear it so as not to embarrass Sister Vira" Cleantha explained.

Zevira grew hot after hearing Cleantha's explanation. But he was so good at hiding his angry feelings and covering them with a smile.

"I'm glad you're starting to fit in as a member of the Adhiyaksa family. Come on, let's go. I don't want to get stuck in traffic during the day."

"Yes, Brother."

After Cleantha sat in the car, Zevira ordered her driver to leave.

"We're going to Paradise Mall. There is a large collection of fine and branded clothes. Then we'll go shopping for bags and jewelry. I'll take you around till the afternoon."

"Sister, what about Ivyna? We're not picking Ivy up for school?"

"Ivy was picked up by the driver. After all, there are already Ningsih who take care of him," said Zevira relaxed.

It took them about thirty minutes to reach the Paradise Mall.

Bi Dewi helped Zevira enter the mall area with her wheelchair.

"Clea, we're going to the elevator to the third floor."

Submissively, Cleantha followed Zevira into the elevator. Upon arrival on the third floor, they headed straight for the clothes counter.

"I want to find gold-colored sleeping pajamas. Can you help me find her, Clea?"

"of course. Brother Vira wait here, I'll find him."

Without a second thought, Cleantha walked over to the nightgown while looking around for the gold color that Zevira had requested.

"Bi Goddess, it's time we catch up with the girl. Do as I say. Hit him."

"Okay, Madam."

Bi Dewi pushed Zevira's wheelchair quickly towards the female sleeping quarters.

A moment later, he pointed Zevira's wheelchair at Cleantha who was standing facing a row of clothes.

A hard wheel hit the back of Cleantha's leg. Fortunately, the girl was holding on to one of the mannequins. If not, it will fall forward.

"Oh," cried Cleantha grimacingly withstanding the pain in her leg.

"ouch! Cleantha are you okay?" zevira asked, pretending to be surprised.

Zevira glared at Bi Dewi and pretended to scold her.

"Bi Goddess, why not carefully push my wheelchair? Poor Cleantha who was the victim."

"I'm sorry, ma'am, I didn't accidentally. The floor is slippery so your wheelchair slides by itself. I can't control it."

Cleantha tried to stand up straight despite the pain.

His ankle has just improved, but now he has to feel pain in other parts.

"Sister, don't scold Bi Dewi. It's just an accident."

"Are you really okay? We'd better go home now even though I still want to shop."

"I'm fine, Brother. I'll get you some more pajamas that Sister Vira wants."

"No need, Clea. I changed my mind. Now I want to buy you a work shirt. Let's go over there."

While walking slowly, Cleantha followed Zevira and Bi Goddess.

"This time I'll pick a dress for you. You stay here, Clea."

Cleantha just stood up watching Zevira who was so excited sorting out many clothes for her.

Before long, he carried two blazer suits with very short skirt hemispheres. One is bright red and the other is black with a low cut on the chest.

"I've found a dress that suits you. What do you think, good right?"

"I.iya, sister," Cleantha replied hesitantly.

To be honest, Cleantha was horrified to imagine that she had to wear sexy clothes to the office. Others will argue that he intends to seduce men rather than work as a finance staff.

But Cleantha did not want to disappoint Zevira who was already kind to her.

"Goddess take me to the cashier."

"Okay, Madam."

After paying for the dress, Zevira takes Cleantha to the most luxurious jewelry store in Paradise Mall.

The jeweler immediately greeted Zevira kindly. It seems that they already know Zevira very well as a loyal customer of their store.

"Good day, Mrs Zevira. Would you like to buy another diamond necklace? It just so happened that we had a new collection" the store supervisor was friendly.

"No, Ma'am. Today I'd like to take a look at the rings and the bracelets."

"Oh, please, Madam. What kind of model do you want?"

The supervisor immediately took out his latest collection of rings and placed them on top of the storefront.

"Clea, please help me pick a nice ring."

"But I don't know anything about diamonds."

"No problem. Choose from the model. I'll see the bracelet first."

"So my sister chose a ring for me" Zevira told the supervisor.

Zevira signaled for Bi Dewi to deliver it to the bracelet section display case.

Zevira glanced at Cleantha who seemed confused observing the number of diamond rings she had to choose.

"Bi, it's time to execute the second plan."

Bi Dewi nodded. He left Zevira and walked towards Cleantha.

With a sudden movement, Bi Dewi nudged Cleantha's body so hard that the girl was shocked.

Cleantha accidentally dropped several diamond rings before her.

The shop employees who witnessed the incident were also shocked. Immediately they picked up the ring scattered on the floor. They were afraid that one of those expensive rings would break.

"Geez, why did these rings fall to the floor?" tanya Zevira approached Cleantha.

Cleantha's face turned pale when she realized the mess she had made.

"Sister, sorry. I was shocked because Bi Dewi bumped into me," said Cleantha anxiously.

"I told Bi Dewi to call you. Maybe because of the rush he accidentally nudged you. Now we have to pay the damages if there's a broken ring."

Zevira acted as a hero and offered a solution to the store supervisor.

"Sir, I'm sorry on behalf of my sister, Cleantha. We'll compensate if there's a broken ring. Just count how many."

The supervisor returned one by one the rings he had managed to carefully retrieve.

"Our brilliance is of the best quality, Madam. So it's not easy to break or break."

"Stay, we have to buy one of the rings as an apology. Choose which one, Ma'am," said Zevira steady.

"This is all, madam. It cost twenty-five million five hundred thousand."

"Okay," Zevira replied in agreement.

Zevira turned to Cleantha.

"Clea, since it's your fault, you have to buy and pay for the ring. Give me your credit or debit card."

"I don't have both, Brother."

"don't have? Didn't the King give you money or credit cards?"

Cleantha shook her head slowly.

"Then I have to call the King. I need to reprimand him to give you a credit card. If not, there will be something embarrassing like this."

"Don't, sister," prevent Cleantha from freaking out.

Cleantha was sure that the King would be furious when he learned of the problem.

...****************...

The king shook hands with Mr. Smith, his American investor. After escorting Mr. Smith out of the meeting room, the King returned to his room.

He threw himself on the chair while loosening his tie. Resting the body and mind tired after undergoing a marathon meeting.

Suddenly, his phone shook several times. Reluctantly, the King grabbed his phone. He frowned when he saw Zevira's name plastered on the phone screen.

"The vira? Why'd he call me?"

Despite being lazy to talk to Zevira, the King still accepted his call.

"What's wrong?" ask the King coldly.

"My king's at the mall with Cleantha. He dropped a diamond ring on the jewelry store. Clea had to buy one of the rings as an apology to the shop. But he can't pay. This incident will embarrass your good name, King. Why don't you give him money, a debit card, or a credit card?"

Hearing news from Zevira, the jaw muscles of the King stiffened.

"I haven't given Cleantha a credit card yet. But why are you guys at the jewelry store? Did you bring Cleantha?"

"Clea said she was bored at home. I wanted to cheer her up by taking her shopping. I didn't think Cleantha would act this recklessly."

The king nodded with annoyance.

"Please lend your credit card to Cleantha first to pay for the ring. I'll replace it."

"All right, King."

Finished speaking, the King immediately turned off his phone.

His eyes turned red with anger.

"Once again the girl defied my orders. He wanders off with Zevira and throws a tantrum. I'll have to give him a punishment later,"

hiss King growled.
