The Thousand Mask Warrior

The Thousand Mask Warrior
The Cuttle Bubble

Antonio da Silva has been sailing since he was very young, feeling the year. At that time he became a young man who boarded ships from his country, Larantuka, went to various places in the archipelago.

His first voyage was from Timor to Malacca aboard a ship carrying sandalwood, resin and honey. Then he still followed the ship to Sumbawa to take the wood of Sapan and to Solor for sulfur.

In Timor itself, in addition to sandalwood, resin and honey, the slave trade was also a very profitable trade. It took many years for da Silva to forge himself to become a clever skipper so as to master his own ship that was friendly to slaves although it was quite difficult to escape this trade.

He later managed to become a good captain. He led the voyage through the route through which Javanese and Pranggi sailors traveled to avoid the Walanda ships which were Pranggi's arch rivals and of course Javanese opponents.

He captained the ship through the island of Karimata near the island of Tanjung Pura or also known as the island of Brunei, along the South coast of the island of Brunei to Ujung Pandang, in Mangkasara. He also sailed from Malacca to Maluku via the North route of the island of Brunei and crossed to Celebes.

The line was used by indigenous sailors in connection with Mindanao and Sulu and the lands of the Straits of Malacca.

So it is not surprising when da Silva who has now been titled Lord or King Nio found the pirates who attacked his ship were the Mangkasara and Bugis people from the island of Celebes.

Which he still asked, why did they bother to carry this much power? Two large aircraft carriers were enough to flank his jungs, eight pirate warriors and warriors, plus fifteen more, plus one pirate leader who is no less authoritative and feared above the sea.

King Nio saw above the two aircraft carriers that were still attached to his jung there were still many slaves and the crew of the ship was not a fighter who was assigned to organize the ship, which was the ship, it was as if the ships of these pirates were merchant ships or even royal warships.

Jung who he skipper only brought rice from Semarang that was sold from Mataram to be traded with gold, diamonds, food, and forest products such as resin and wood from Lawe, the, Sambas and Tanjungpura long including Sukadana in it.

What attracts these pirates?

As per the experience of King Nio, the pirates will cancel the attack if there have been many casualties from their side. This is because however the pirates think about profit and loss, like trading.

They can also continue their piracy efforts by talking and bargaining with the skipper in thinking about the advantages and disadvantages that they both experience or will occur.

But the pirates led by the Cutong Bubble are very desperate to finish off the crew and continue to seek victory even though many of their chosen people are dead or seriously injured.

The appearance of the leader made the guards of Jung's ship that Jayaseta boarded to be aware. It turns out that the crew, slaves and even the captain himself knows who the leader of this pirate.

Everyone who was long above the sea, especially in the waters between Java, Celebes and Tanjung Pura or Brunei, is aware that currently they are dealing with a Bugis-blooded pirate named Bombang Labolong. Funnily enough, his name also means Black Wave which became his nickname. The Black Wave, or in another name in Bugis, the Cuttle Bubble.

It is said that he was destined to become a respected pirate and feared by sailors throughout the archipelago and even abroad. People call it by its own name, Bombang Labolong, or its nickname, The Litong Bubble which all means the same, namely the Black Wave.

His nickname and name are both scary, let alone his football. This is what Jayaseta feels for himself. The pirate aircraft carrier led by the Litong Bubble has a crew that is all powerful, has an immune science.

It took a draining time to defeat them all, even with the help of not a few of the crew and ship slaves. Jayaseta also just felt the spiciness of the leader's fist that makes his chest feel burning.

Jayaseta wakes up, takes a breath and gives a bit of pure air and spreads it all over her body.

He grabbed back the cudgel that had slipped from his hand. Even without a sign, Jayaseta attacked the pirate leader while still bowing when he took the mace on the floor of the deck of the ship.

This attack is intended as a trick, so that the Cuttle Bubble will soon be collected.

The wooden mace broke in two. One sharp fragment even injured Jayaseta's palm.

I can't be surprised, though,

BES!

BES!

The Cuttle Bubble's two fists hit Jayaseta's stomach and chest, causing him to lunge.

Two fists that feel spicy and hot again felt by Jayaseta.

But as a swordsman choose a match, Jayaseta immediately rotated his body so as not to collapse, then he put the horses legs crossed.

Seeing this, the opponent frowned, “Ooh ... for the gods of the sea and the curious spirits of this ocean. If it is true, I am a lucky person on the ocean,”, said the Litong Bubble suddenly.

Everyone nodded and stopped fighting. Their attention was directed at the two magic warriors who faced each other.

“I heard that a swordsman chose a match in the land of Java who holds the title of Thousand Mask Swordsman has strange and unpredictable moves. In addition, he is able to imitate the movements and moves of his enemies in just an instant,”.

Jayaseta was only silent because although he was a little surprised, he was perfumed that in the martial world, it was not strange to have knowledge of the names of warriors in the archipelago. Just because he was so young that he lacked this kind of knowledge.

In fact, to be honest, he was a little proud because even his name had preceded him over the ocean.

King Nio who then felt so surprised. He had long heard that name, the Thousand Mask Swordsman. No wonder this overlapping person was wearing a mask in his fight. It is only natural that the Longong Bubble desperately chased after the swordsman. It is about what warriors embrace, the way of the sword, the way of self-esteem and death.

Meanwhile Jayaseta changed the horses legs crossed that he had just imitated to balance his body by spinning a little on the deck of the ship. Now that his left foot was in line with his right leg behind him, the thin horses were imitated out of the other party of pirates, numbering fifteen.

“Ha ha ha ha .. good .. good. Huahh .. My life is so exciting today. Listen, my children and you crew. In front of you are already standing two poor warriors across the martial world. The name of the young swordsman in front of me is very grand, but I myself as someone who also took the short path – of course while robbing and looking for wealth and fame, ha ha ha … will deal with it in a short-lived way as well. If today I can't kill him, I'll stop being a pirate or die altogether!”

This statement does not change to make everyone surprised not dumbstruck. The pirates certainly did not doubt the leader, but the name of the opponent, the Thousand Mask Swordsman, was a name they were very familiar with. As for the crew even though they hope the young man is indeed the Thousand Mask Swordsman, but on the other hand they were clearly worried that the Cuttle Bubble would become really violent and might finish off everyone above King Nio's jung if he managed to defeat the swordsman.

For the Bugis, a king had a great obligation to provide security and ensure justice for his people. At that time, the Bone Kingdom, which was the kingdom of the Bugis people, was ruled by King La Madaremmeng Matinro’E Ri Bukaka who began to rule in 1628 AD.

The coronation and early reign of the thirteenth Bone king coincided with the attack on Betawi Fortress by Mataram under Sultan Agung Hanyakrakusuma. At that time, the Bugis Bone Kingdom was under the greater Gowa Sultanate. Many Bugis people feel oppressed by the Mangkasara people of the Gowa Sultanate.

Due to the constant fighting, warfare and strife, many Bugis and Mangkasara people came out of their area to avoid the split. Most of them have great marine and maritime abilities, not to mention their martial skills are also very capable. Many exerted tremendous influence in every place and kingdom where they lived, but many who went down the sea became pirates and made many sailors become daunted.

Not only the seafarers of the archipelago, even the Pranggi people and other foreign countries also see these Bugis pirates as a terrible scourge.

Of course the decision to stop being a pirate becomes very scary for the Lotong Bubble boys, because this is the life they understand. This is the life that gives them the price and confidence, not to mention the prosperity they get during their time under the leadership of Bombang Labolong Si Bubble Cutong.
