The Thousand Mask Warrior

The Thousand Mask Warrior
Shallow Sea Battle Fifth Part - Mah Meri

Mr. Rajo Intan started using his Step Four silat moves. The first step, second Makkawaru claw attack is avoided by sliding one foot back; step one.

Of course Makkawaru did not want to stop just like that, he launched a further attack. Two strikes in one buzz towards the head of Mr. Rajo Intan, one hand forming a fist while the other like slapping. Mr. Rajo Intan now shifts both of his legs in one straight motion to the side a bit further away while brushing both sides together with both hands as well; step two.

Makkawaru still felt that his enemy was simply dodging. Problems like they won't last long, he thought. He would speed up his attacks, and do more consecutive hits. Makkawaru then gave his fist and elbow a spin, again two strikes at once in a single breath.

Mr. Rajo Intan is seen moving his hips, like he is about to back off and dodge. Makkawaru felt he had understood the movement of the opponent. He has also planned to give a deceptive and persistent follow-up attack when Mr Rajo Intan manages to evade again.

Unfortunately, Makkawaru was wrong. Mr. Rajo Intan instead of retreating or dodging, he instead advanced against the attack. His right leg advanced far away quickly dragging his left leg which was behind. Makkawaru's fist did not hit him, while Makkawaru's elbow was held with the back of Mr. Rajo Intan's hand before a short but powerful punch struck Makkawaru's back who had not had time to return to his original horses; step three.

BUGS!!!

Makkawaru pushed forward. His spine is painful. Angrily he turned his body to face Mr. Rajo Intan to avenge the attack. But he did not get to see the face of his enemy because Mr. Rajo Intan had advanced forward gliding dunking at once four strokes: face, chest, stomach and elbow cover back to the chest; step four!

Makkawaru was thrown backwards and fell lying on the deck floor of the ship.

All the crew understand that King Nio does not want any bloodshed on his ship by something that can be a complicated problem and misunderstanding.

Two large ships almost as big as their jungs roared over the sea water against the backdrop of small islands, squeezing left and right. While the pirate ship has first mopped the hull of the ship.

The pirates had also jumped on board. The rest who were still on board they shot with a bedil anyone who was about to hold their comrades up to the jung of King Nio.

"Return all ... Back off!" king Nio's orders to the crew and the ship's guard. "Wait until they board, then attack. Guards with shields in the front, you who hold the long wood and paddles in the back, give the second layer. Again, do not use sharp weapons. The pirates were armed only with daggers that they bit. The only dangerous thing is the gunners on their ship" shouted King Nio.

Actually at that time, every ship or large jung that sailed far away, could certainly have troops and weapons, including cannons. This is because the long journey allows the ships are forced to face pirates or pirates. Not least Jung Raja Nio's.

But, in these sudden and complicated circumstances, King Nio obviously did not want to engage in a dizzying showdown with interested and warring nations and countries, moreover, he said, this battle took place quite strangely, namely in the shallow sea with islands and areas of various kingdoms and countries.

Dozens of pussy pirates, bare-chested skinned legumes. All of them wore wooden masks that formed beasts like apes or other strange creatures.

The bed knows the masks well. He exclaimed, "They are the people of the tribe of Mah Meri!"

Knowing this, the captain of King Nio replied to Katilapan's call, "Don't be deceived. Just think about how to knock them out without getting shot from those ships. We don't know exactly who they are" he said.

The words of King Nio clearly made sense. How could the Mah Meri tribe which means 'forest people' be involved in this dispute? They are indigenous tribes in the Malay archipelago who are not Malays. They are also known to live on the coast and are reliable sailors because they were forced to migrate in large numbers from the southern region of Johor to Selangor. Then what's their business?

Indeed Selangor which after no longer being a subordinate of Malacca became the seizure of Johor, Pranggi, Aceh and even the kingdom of the people of Siam. In Selangor itself there are also many influential Minangkabau people there. Then this complexity becomes more. But clearly, it seems that there are those who play high-class games, so that even the people of the Mah Meri tribe were brought along.

Katilapan also later realized that all this was suspicious. He looked at Narendra. The one who is seen nodding. "We don't have to care who's behind Mah Meri's masks. Even though I can't use my trident, my hands are already itching to beat up unknown pirates who obviously want to make a vile slander and hassle trouble" he said.

That is also why Katilapan and Narendra first came forward to beat up the masked pirates. The bed lent one of his rotat sticks to Narendra who nimbly jumped past the heads of the guards of the jung King Nio who were ready with their rattan shield.

Katilapan and Narendra pounded four pirates in several times. But they were not reckless warriors, because when the gunfire from the pirate ship began to scatter, Katilapan and Narendra immediately retreated.

Makkawaru wakes up with hurt self-esteem. He looked towards Labussa who was squinting as if sending a message and a question, "You sure you can beat this wounded man?" It was as if Labussa and the Bugis sailors were mocking him and forcing him to immediately complete the game so that their brothers who died on their outrigger ships due to gunfire on this ship could find justice.

Makkawaru darted against Mr. Rajo Intan. Again the two attacks were initially avoided and repelled by using the moves of step one and step two.

Makkawaru quickly overlaid his third attack in the form of a punch with the palm side with deep force. The sheer severity of the attack made Mr Rajo Intan's three-step incision a little weak. He was pushed back until step four failed to be completed. Mr. Rajo Intan had to retreat far away avoiding two additional Makkawaru attacks.

Mr. Rajo Intan did not have time to repeat the steps two, because Makkawaru attacked as fast as a shark in the ocean. Two of his fists pierced through the edge. One hit the chest, while the other was energized in a landslide teaching his injured shoulder.

Mr. Rajo Intan fell rolling backwards. Blood flowed seeped out of his heavy cloth as he tried to get up.

The warriors and sailors of Minangkabau, Bengkulu and Rejang took a breath but tried to restrain themselves. They still believe in their mighty nakhodanya.

King Nio used his long staff.

BLEED IT!

BLEED IT!

Twice he struck the same pirate's head. Her ape-shaped mask came off. Blood flowed from his injured head. He himself fell unconscious.

Datuk Mas Kuning put the kris back into the scabbard, although it is illegal to pass the keris without asking for blood, he thought.

He slipped out, using a gayong silat and Pattani silat, curled his body nimbly while empty-handed slamming one pirate and stomping on his chest. One more pirate was beaten with five consecutive blows until the enemy fell stiffly to the floor of the ship.

Jayaseta wrapped two shawls around her arms. He did not have a sharp weapon, so he decided to use his bare hands. The two shawls could be used to brush off the sharp weapons directed at him.

"Abang sure will go down to fight?" said Dara Cempaka who had taken out his iron fan.

"I can't keep quiet like this, Dara. Jung was already in the shallow sea near the island. I'm not drunk anymore. Although I am confident in the ability of Katilapan, Narendra, King Nio, Datuk and the guards and crew, where I may be hiding here" he said.

Dara Cempaka nodded. "Go Jayaseta's brother. My sister is okay too. Sister can also take care of herself," said Dara Cempaka.

Jayaseta hugged his wife tightly and kissed her forehead. "I know you are capable, Dara. But for my sake, don't engage in battle first if I'm not on my side. Enough in this room" Jayaseta said.

Dara Cempaka looked at her husband's eyes fixedly to reassure him and then nodded.

Jayaseta jumped over the deck agilely and deftly like a squirrel. His body is easily flowed with deep energy so that it can move like using the science of body lightening.

He held his face, conscious of having no cover. However, it was not long before his handsome face shone. In the middle of the war, he saw some masks on the floor. The pirates who were still coming up to the jungle protected by gunfire from the pirate aircraft carrier were all masked.
