Chapter 7's

"While..."

My whole body hurts.

I fell from a cliff high enough, but fortunately when I fell I hit the branches of the tree so as to reduce the impact of the impact.

Some of the trees here have rather strange leaves. It means that I have arrived somewhere else within the Forbidden Forest.

The wolf that was chasing me turned around and just left. I could see them peering down from the top of the cliff, then turning around.  For some reason, I don't know what makes them no longer interested in pursuing me. 

Or maybe they're trying to find another way to go after me? Then I should hurry up and find a place to recuperate first.

"This place is still a forbidden forest, right?" Now my feelings have turned to doubt. Looking at the thin fog that still covered the view, it should be able to refute the reason why I could feel the feeling earlier.

If it had been deeper in a dangerous place like this forbidden forest, there could have been an old house, ruins, a mysterious lake, or perhaps a hidden dungeon.

"Well, I have to find a way back first." Once again looking into the screen that was in my view, but there was no teleport feature even to simply return to the previous city. I can't last much longer inside here due to limited supplies.

When I first arrived in this world, I was too excited and went straight into the forest to hunt monsters. I forgot to buy the potion so now it feels hard. The impact from the fall must have reduced my Hit Point.

Then my mind was terbesit "when it has come so far, time must immediately return?" My choice was to keep going forward to level up, die, then lose everything. Or go back to town to buy supplies.

Of course I wanted to take the second choice, only I was blocked by the direction within this forest.

Yep. I strayed.

Without important features such as teleportation, or a map plastered on the screen, I could not do anything right now.

Ssshh!

Just fell down, now even the arrival of a new guest who seemed quite strong.

Ssshhhh!

Alertly, I glanced towards the sound that was getting closer. A shadow was seen from behind the fog around the forest. The shadow was tall, large, with a pair of scarlet eyes engraved sinisterly.

YAAA!!

"WHOA!!"

I jumped right when the big monster pounced on me.

"Snake?! Big bangeet!"

The snake monster that had been pouncing on me hit a tree to make some of it fall. Then he took a back position and stared intently at my eyes.

His tongue poked out to feel the presence of his prey. Then his body bent, and came back to pounce on me like before.

YO!!

Bruk! Bruk! Bruk!

Once again I avoided it, and the monster's safety scattered the trees it had hit.

If it was me, maybe I would instantly respawn back inside the city.

"Here you are, stupid worm!"

Dor's! Dor's! Dor's! Dor's!

I fired a few bullets at the snake's face, but it had no effect at all on its hard skin.

YAAA!!

The snake went on a rampage and started chasing me quickly.

Dor's! Dor's! Dor's!

After shooting, I jumped to the side and ran back among the trees to poke at him.

The snake monster was moving too fast so it often went too far when I dodged.

When I was next to the monster, I could see its body length of about 10 meters. While the diameter of the body is also quite large, so maybe I can swallow it round and round.

Dor's! Dor's! Dor's!

YAAA!!

I kept shooting at the snake monster, changing the bullets, rubbing it between the trees, and it kept going like that until almost all the trees around here collapsed.

"Wait, I'm like I saw something."

When I jumped to avoid the snake monster, I could see some wounds on his body.

"A wound!" I saw a considerable slash scar around his body. Because there's a lot of fog around here, I just noticed it as soon as I looked up close.

If I focus my attack on that scar, I can defeat it slowly but surely.

"Yoh!" I replaced the bullets in both of my guns, then focused all my shots on the scars.

Dor's! Dor's! Dor's! Dor's!

Khiyaaaakk!!

It worked! Now I can injure the body of a hard snake monster with my premature pistol.

"Continue! The timbaakk!!"

My gun shot at the wound on his body, making the snake monster continue to groan in pain.

His body was wriggling with extreme pain at every scar on his body.

Dor's! Dor's!

While shooting, I ran towards a part of the forest that was more distant between the trees. But just looking ahead, the snake's tail suddenly floated right in front of me.

"Yes!!"

Bukk!

I quickly lowered my head to avoid the tail, then it hit the tree trunk behind me until it was destroyed.

"Bas based on a cunning snake!" My yelling. "Shock to know!"

YAAA!!

"Yes, yes, yes!" I ran again because the snake was chasing me.

After evading it, I continued running forward away from the snake monster. I need some distance to be able to launch an attack safely. While I already knew the location of the wound I had to shoot, I just needed to make that move.

I looked back and saw the tail of the snake coming back.

To avoid it, I stopped my run to take a position and jumped as high as I could. While in the air, I also raised my legs to give more distance from the ground.

The snake's tail darted beneath me and almost got knocked over. If it kept running, the snake would never stop chasing me.

Dor's! Dor's! Dor's! Dor's!

Khiyaakk!!

The second battle took place in this wider place. Thanks to the body of the snake monster that was moving unruffled, the dust from the ground became scattered and increasingly covered the view.

Now the place is becoming darker due to the natural fog in the forest coupled with dust from the ground.

The snake seemed confused looking for me due to the dust that disturbed his sense of smell. Even though he was also trying to disappear in the fog while looking for me inside, I was still able to feel the sound of the ground rubbing against his body.

YAAA!!

I jumped dodging, while firing my gun at the wound on the snake's body.

Soon after it appeared, its tail came back against me from behind and I jumped up to dodge it quickly. As soon as it landed, my bullet shot back towards the snake despite being blocked by fog and dust.

"How much longer do I have to be like this. If only my gun was a little better, I could have defeated that snake monster faster!"

YO!!

The snake pounced back, and I could still avoid it even though I was shocked.

Shortly after, his tail came back to attack me from the front.

As usual, I jumped to avoid the tail attack, but when my feet just landed...

"Damn..."

Bugh!

The snake's tail struck back with a short distance. I just landed and didn't know he was going to attack again. As a result, I bounced far enough to hit a tree trunk in the back.

"IE!!" Blood spilled out of my mouth. The lacing my body received twice had caused bleeding inside. If the snake could destroy the tree it hit, I myself would instead be crushed to hit the trees here.

I don't have recovery potions, regeneration skills, or a healer's party friend. A little while longer I'm like this, I'll lose to that snake monster. In my view there was also no blood information, so I could not be sure whether it was dying or not.

As I tried to get up, I felt that there was still a bit of energy in my body.

Did I just die this time, then repeat defeating this snake monster with more mature preparation?

No. gabe. I will not waste my efforts so far!

The snake monster came back, I also got up and refilled the bullet in my gun.

Fight or die.

"For you! YO!!"

I ran forward with all the rest of my strength. The snake again attacked using its tail and I quickly jumped up to avoid it.

As it has happened. The tail turned around again and attacked me again with a short pause of time. But I already know and won't fall in the same hole.

I jumped back, shooting at the snake blindly as soon as I had the chance.

I continued to do this until my movement felt more slowed, until in the end I was hit by another snake attack.

Bugh!

"Akkh!"

With its tail, the snake monster threw me up right into its already open jaw.

"Whoaah!!"

Unknowingly, both of my legs held the serpent's jaw and prevented it from swallowing me.

"Sick, sick, sick! Fucking worm!!"

Dor's! Dor's! Dor's! Dor's!

In his wide-open jaw, I shot all my remaining bullets into his mouth.

"Eat this snack!!"

Dor's! Dor's! Dor's! Dor's!

"Yahoo!!" Oh yea! "Piercing Shots!"

Dor's! Dor's!

Khiya!!

With the last two bullets reinforced, there was no way this snake could still survive.

I fell down with the head of the snake, and landed on its body quite hard. But it's still better than falling straight to the ground.

Yea! Finally level 2 too! Although the struggle was quite heavy.

But... "Well! At least I want to rest in the city." My body was already swaying and could fall down at any moment.

A while later, the snake monster turned into ashes and dropped some items just like the previous wolf.

A medium-sized crystal, a pair of large fangs, and some black scales.

The thing that really satisfies us RPG gamers, getting rare items after defeating a powerful monster.

How happy I am now. A feeling that I have not felt since playing in an FPS-themed game.

"Eh?!" When I wanted to take those things, my body lost its balance. But I stood up straight again so as not to fall. Am I dizzy?

Still confused by what happened, I suddenly saw a shadow of a little girl behind one of the trees. After realizing I saw him, he went back into hiding. A ghost? Not likely.

I'm not afraid of ghosts!

It was just a hallucination!

"Oh, looks like you don't need to be saved."

Kyaa! I shuddered and shouted in my heart.

A voice came from behind me. When I looked, I saw a male adventurer with black hair and all-black clothes. He carried a sword behind his back. Looks like a calm guy.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Shin. Shin Raiden's. I wanted to pick you up because Clara was so worried about you."

He kept stepping closer to me, and I stepped back to watch out for him.

"W-You, there's no need to do that. I am strong!"

Not accepting being underestimated, I blurted out those words. But he kept coming at me.

"Yes, yeah. I was so amazed to see your fight just now. But you've pushed yourself too far."

"Heh, you saw it and just watched!? But even without your help, I can defeat the snake alone..."

What's wrong with me? My eyes looked blurry and my body staggered. My hand was holding my aching head, and without me noticing I had dropped both of my guns.

"The poison is not dangerous..."

My consciousness began to disappear and I fell.
