The Seven World Of Fantasy
Chapter 10: The Quest Towards the Village Part 2

Huu.

Shin wicked.

Shin was really mean to a girl.

I slept outside a very cold room all night. Moreover, he did not give me a blanket or anything I could wear to warm myself. I had to roll my body on the carpet to keep it warm, but it was useless.

Even now I still shiver and don't want to take a morning shower. Even though I took a shower last night after coming home from the village.

If only there was magic that could make the water warm. I think I'm going to be a little more at home in this world. I want a warm bath.

After eating breakfast together, the two of us left again for the guild.

Shin acted like nothing had ever happened. Maybe he's been content to punish me all night, then I promise I won't repeat. But it's still better. My ass was hit so red by my brother for being more concerned with tournaments than school exams.

It was an experience I don't want to forget. Because after I cried to dry tears, my brother bought me ice cream. Even so I instead asked him to top up my account only, then a second nightmare ensued.

And for some reason, tomorrow I will be closer to my brother. Of course I also put the exam ahead of the tournament after that incident. If he's at home.

About Shin, now he looks like he's not feeling well. His face looks very lethargic. Because he worked too hard yesterday, huh? I felt guilty for leaving him alone yesterday.

"Shinn,"

"Yes?"

"I think it's better today that you just rest. Let me go run the request from the village alone. After all, those requests aren't that hard, anyway."

"What makes you so interested in the request of the village. You're not going to sneak into the Nugul Dungeon again under the pretext of that request, are you?"

"Of course not!" Hmfm. He always suspected me of doing too much. Now I dare to enter the Nugul Dungeon alone. Because of God Aff's damn request and that white-winged woman I had to look for a village-related request.

"You're too dangerous to be left alone. That's why Clara asked me to keep watching you. If he hadn't asked me, I wouldn't have come while you were fighting Black Phantom Snake the other day."

Haa, who really? So you've been watching me for being told by that rabbit receptionist?

"If I may ask, who exactly is Clara to you?" I'm assuming they have an unusual relationship. Because the two of them looked pretty close, and I also saw Shin leave at night, and...

"We used to be a party."

"Dam!!" I'm appalled. Shin's answer made no sense in my mind. "Clara!? That chatty and spoiled rabbit receptionist!? He's an adventurer?"

If you know a pretty and cute minimarket employee, then you know he's a member of an intelligence agency, then he comes to your house at night and arrests you on felony charges. Cereemms.

But if it's the case of Clara who was once an adventurer, isn't it great. What kind of weapon did he use, huh? So all this time he had been adventuring together with Shin. If I had known earlier, I probably wouldn't have been this surprised. Because my view of Clara is already formed.

Rabbit girl who became the receptionist of the adventurer guild in Ciatar City with a small salary, thus making her poor, and her character is rather childish and cheerful.

"Rather precisely former adventurers. After our party broke up, the members separated and went to different places. Me, Clara, and..."

Shin did not continue his words. His gaze became blank and his face looked increasingly lethargic.

I think I know what he's thinking. It must have been one of his precious party mates, yet now he was gone.

"Shin. No need to continue." I told him to stop thinking about his past. Because I already knew it must be a bitter memory that he didn't want to remember. Find another topic. Find another topic Riel!

"H-hey, Shin, what if we try to take another request today. Maybe exploring the forest will refresh the atmosphere a little. It's pretty quiet and..."

"It's okay, Riel. I'm used to it." Shin interrupted me who was trying to distract.

I understand how I look so obvious and ineffective. But at least I tried. Sorry Shin, it's my fault.

We continued walking until we got to the front of the guild building. In front of the entrance, we met the Guild Master. He looked very neat with his formal attire, and that old, sinister, silly face also looked to match his attire.

"Ho! Good morning, Riel. You look a little lethargic today." Uncle Guy greeted me as he passed by. Just greeting.

"Ahaha, no. I'm so excited to take the request today. Because I will win the competition between adventurer guilds later!" I say it with the spirit I made. I didn't know Uncle Guy realized it or not.

"Haha! Your spirit is contagious to me. Thank you, Riel. You're an interesting adventurer." Uncle Guy said that in a high tone as usual. Perhaps his voice could be heard from within the guild.

"By the way, where does Uncle want to go? Your clothes look too young and fancy to wear."

"Basic little kids don't know fashion. I'll go to the banquet of one of the nobles. Of course I have to dress neatly."

"Hee, I don't think you've ever gotten an invitation like that. And don't call me a kid!"

"Haha! Don't underestimate this old man. I go first, I don't want to be late coming there." While saying that, Uncle Guy walked away towards the noble district.

"Be careful on the road." I waved to Uncle Guy who was getting further and further away from us.

Uh! I just remembered. There was Shin here, and he had been waiting for us to talk to each other.

As soon as I looked, I found Shin's face becoming very cynical looking at me.

I'm sorry Shin, I know you once forbade me from getting along with the old man. But he is still a Guild Master whom I must respect. I just put on my innocent smile as usual.

Finally arrived inside the guild after this long journey. I went straight to the middle of the guild, and searched around for requests related to the village. Since yesterday's request arguably failed for me, that order from God Aff has no time limit right?

I saw an interesting request, and took it. I met Shin and the two of us went straight to the reception. We always take a queue to Clara's desk.

"Both of you, good morning!" Clara greeted us excitedly.

"For Clara too!" I returned his greeting.

"What's wrong with you, Riel? Are you not feeling well?" Clara asked and looked at me worriedly.

"Eh? No really. It was cold last night, but I was fine as always." I try to make myself look like that. I hope Clara's worries are gone.

"Thank God then. It's true, last night was very cold. Even one blanket is still not enough to keep me warm."

You're good to still be able to use a blanket, Clara. I'm wearing a carpet. The carpet! The carpet is itchy and can't keep me warm!

"Then, what kind of request do you want to take today?"

"We'll take this request." I showed you the request paper I took from the notice board.

[Request

Rank: C

"A beast threatens our cattle. Please help us hunt down the animal so that none of our cattle will be victimized."

Location: Arin Village

client: Reinald

Rewards: 25,000 Nira

Deadline: Soon, before anything bad happens to our cattle]

This reward is greater compared to the one yesterday. Yes, yesterday it was unexpected as well if we could get money that many times over. It was all thanks to Shin's hard work. Then the money will be used to pay for my weapon. What a dreamy man.

"You want to take this request, Riel?" Clara confirmed the request I had chosen.

"Yep."

"alright. But..." Before letting us go, Clara noticed that Shin did not look well.

"Hey, Shin. Do you want to rest today? You really look worse than usual."

"ah! Uh, that's not what I meant. I advised Shin to rest first today. Otherwise, your condition could be much worse and you could get a fever." Clara kept urging Shin not to come with me. His concern really made me suspicious.

"But what about Riel?" Shin threw a glance at me.

"I? Fwaha! You worried? Didn't you ever witness my fight with that big black snake inside the dungeon. The wild animals from the forest are not a big obstacle for me. Moreover, I will hunt him down with the villagers. So no need to worry."

I gave a long explanation so that Shin could trust me. But rather than say Shin who did not believe, it was Clara who more precisely did not want me to go alone.

"I can, really. There are villagers who will hunt with me, so there's no need to worry."

"Alright, you can take the request yourself. Although the C rank request should not be taken alone by level 2, but I'm sure you'll be fine with the villagers." Clara agreed with a little worry.

"But please, come back safely. Otherwise, Uncle Guy will fire me from this guild." Said Clara with sadness made instantly.

"Yes, yeah. Leave it to me."

I looked at Shin. His condition looks worse than it was this morning. I feel more guilty. It was only fitting that he would change my punishment by sleeping outside, so that he could rest on the bed with a blanket. That's not enough to make it better.

"Are you sure?" Shin asked doubtful.

"Yes! Get enough rest at the inn, Shin. See you soon." I ran away leaving them.

"Be careful there, don't push yourself too far." Clara said from her place.

All right, on the way Arin Village!

***

I arrived at Arin Village no more than half an hour away. You want to know what I'm riding?

The train!

There are trains in this world! Or perhaps more precisely the magic train, because the fuel uses magic stones dropped by most monsters. Worth exploring dungeons is a pretty promising job.

The ticket price is quite expensive, which is 10,000 Nira for each trip between cities. Yes, actually this train was traveling to Deedale City, but I jumped off the train mid-way. Because the train was not going too fast like the electric train in my world, so I was able to get off and land without any great danger.

Of course I was yelled at by the train attendant. The important thing is that I paid for the ticket, and there will be no strange news about random events like in my old world. 'A girl jumped off a train that was running and was still alive.' Haha.

I got this information from strangers around the station. I asked him about this train, and he explained briefly. Then I asked if there was a route to Arin Village. The man replied, the route to Deedale City will pass around the village.

Of course I got that information with a little sacrifice of money. That is how we exchange information in this world.

And that was the story until I reached the village of Arin which was quite far away very quickly.

The village had actually been seen from the train as it walked, so I would not be confused where else to look.

As was told in the request paper, this village pretty much has a farm. The size of this village is also large because it has more inhabitants than the village that was yesterday. Here also cultivate some garden produce, offset by the farm.

You could say the atmosphere in this village is more alive than the previous village.

I walked towards the village gate, then a local who seemed to be in charge of guarding the gate stopped me.

"What are you doing in this village, little girl?"

"I'm not a little girl!!"

"He?"

When the gatekeeper asked me, I thought he would call me adventurous lady. He even called me a little girl!? My height is pretty normal in my world. Then I was angry with him.

"I am an adventurer who received a request to hunt down the ferocious beasts in this village. Can't you see the two guns I've been carrying around my waist?"

I leaned my body slightly forward, more precisely at the waist where I placed a gun with its sheath and a dagger belonging to Shin on the back.

"Eeeh, yes. I don't know what kind of weapon it is. But didn't we send a request with a C rank, then why did the one who came was just a little girl alone?" The gatekeeper again commented.

Basic, this guy really needs to be taught by my gun. Relax Riel, you can ruin the image of an adventurer if you do things that are out of bounds. All you have to do is trust people first. Alright, then,

"Yes, you're right om. I am indeed the little girl who came alone to take this request." I answered him with a happy and happy tone.

"Yes, if you know your position then go back to the guild and display the request again." He kicked me out by flapping his palm.

"Calm down, I'm self-conscious. I once defeated the Black Phantom Snake by myself inside a dungeon. So I think the wild and wild animals in the forest are nothing." Again I reply to his words cheerfully.

The gatekeeper suddenly fell to his knees.

"Heh, are you okay?" My toot.

"No way..." The gatekeeper muttered.

"Hmm?"

"There's no way the news is true. That person is in front of me right now. An adventurous girl who defeated a powerful monster by herself and leveled up on her first day." He continued to speak to himself while staring at the ground.

You're right, the news isn't a hoax and I'm standing in front of you right now. Is there anything special about this news?

The guard suddenly lunged at my hands and looked at me half-crying. He looked like he was pleading with great force.

"I beg. Please forgive me for underestimating you. So please help us hunt down those beasts that live in the forest." Tears flowed from both of his eyes, both of his nostrils, and also his mouth.

What the fuck!? Don't let the water run into my hands!

"Eh, yes! All righty! I'll help you, so please let go of my hand immediately."

As soon as his hand let go of me, he changed position to prostrate.

"I beg for his help."

A huawawa! I'm not used to culture shock here.

The gatekeeper led me into the village and led me towards a large building. The other villagers watched me in astonishment. Some of them even seemed to be clearly talking about me.

"Look, look at mom! Is that the girl who defeated the huge black snake monster inside the dungeon?"

"Yes, son. He even defeated her alone."

"Kereen. I want to be like her."

I heard a conversation between a child and his mother. The boy said it out loud so that it could be heard by me.

"Hey, isn't that the adventurer you mean."

"Where? Hah, right! That's the adventurer I told you about! I'm not lying, are I."

The people were pretty much talking about me. I was feeling the sensation of being famous like I had ever felt before. When I was the winner of a tournament or competition, a lot of people talked about me on social media and in the game. But this time the sensation is a little different.

"Well, you're really famous, yeah." The gatekeeper spoke to me again.

"Really?" I could only scratch the back of my head even though it wasn't itchy. I don't know if I should be happy or embarrassed right now.

We continued walking until we entered a large building. This building is not a house even though it looks so from the outside. Once inside, there was only a large room with many people gathered in the middle, surrounding a table.

On the table there are many tools such as rope, wooden sticks, sacks, whips, and some hooks made of iron. The om-om that surrounded the table looked huge and creepy, even scarier than Uncle Guy.

They're about six people, eight if added to us. Then one of the om-oms sitting there grinned at me.

"Well, whoa. Who would have thought we'd have a girl in time."
