Chapter 29: Before That

"Adele!" Shouted Clara as she entered a bar.

"Welcome home." A bartender greeted us from his desk. She has the same ears as Clara. Naturally, they were from the same race and village.

"How are you today?" Sapa Clara's.

"Good."

"Hee, don't you miss us? We haven't seen each other in years."

"Not really."

"Mmmm!" Clara scowled.

We both entered the bar we had visited before. Although it had passed for a very long time, but this bar had still not changed at all. Slum, and very quiet customer. There was only one person sleeping in that corner.

If things were a little different, it might be because Adele grew bigger.

"Good night, Adele. Long time no see." I greeted him too.

"Hmm?" Adele tilted her head in confusion. "Have we met before?"

I walked up to the bartender's desk to order something. "I order the eagle and its prey."

Adele who was wiping her glass as usual, now fell silent and looked at me coldly.

"Come inside, you'll know the place." Adele put the glass back down and left. "Hana, take care of the bar for a minute."

"Yeah!" Another servant came. This time he was from the forest cat race.

Clara and I walked to a door behind the bar. The door would lead to a special room for the barmaiders, but there was a staircase leading underground inside. It was there where to exchange information for some of the special customers of this bar.

Up underground, the three of us sat at a table with a small magic crystal lighting. Clara looked tense beside me. He's been to this bar before, but only me and our chairman have ever been inside.

"What?" Ask Adele.

"We want to know about the bandit headquarters, White Shadow, and the two girls." I described how Riel and the cat girl named Momo looked.

"Alright, but I can't tell you the one you asked for."

Adele started giving us her information.

"Are you ready, Clara?"

"Yes!"

Early in the morning before dawn, the two of us were already at the gates of Kote Deedalee. We will both attack the bandit headquarters which is located 1 hour drive into the forest.

"Who are you?" One of the gatekeepers stopped us. They should have been more suspicious of the people who entered the city, but our clothes could also be said to be conspicuous by them.

Moreover, Clara did not wear the hood of her robe. If he is serious, sometimes he will be careless and forget other important things.

The guard approached us with some of his companions. They look sleepy after staying up all night and have not changed shifts.

Clara and I took out our adventurer card and showed it to her.

Don't go into a forest you've never been to without a map, unless there's a guide with you on your way. That is basic knowledge for an adventurer.

"When we were further away in the forest, we found a bandit outpost and accidentally made a fuss. Then we chased them and got separated in the middle of the road. They kept chasing my brother and probably already caught him. While I was lost and wounded by their trap."

Then, since then we took the Priest girl named Christa into our journey. It didn't take long to find the headquarters of the bandits thanks to the maps we had. Once there, there was already a great fight between the bandits and the person who definitely did.

Riel, a cat girl named Momo, and her older sister Christa.

I'm sure Riel must have caused all this mess, I'm not surprised anymore. But I was a little surprised when I saw her sister Christa. At first glance I could not tell if he was a man or a woman. 

Clara shot an arrow with her Snipe skill, at an Assassin who was attacking her sister Christa. Then we went out and approached them there. It seems like in front of me there is an artifact user as well.
