I'm full of spirit!
I'm really full of spirit!
Finally after a long time I can go back to adventure in a fantasy world! I continued to run out of the city towards the forest in search of monsters that I could defeat, level up, then look for great equipment.
Unfortunately, this game still needs development. The city is indeed very large and many NPCs are roaming around, making this game feel very lively like in the real world. But should the teleportation feature not be in this game?
Let alone teleportation, not even a map existed in this world. I had to ask the people around me about the place where monsters were often, and it took me almost an hour to walk up to the city gate.
"The size of the world is 1:1? It feels like walking in the real world. So far!" My complaint.
Upon arrival at the city gate, I saw several guards carrying out their duties, a group of adventurers passing by, or a merchant carriage going in and out of the city.
I walked through the gate without being suspected by anyone. Of course because they think of me as an adventurer in general.
Outside the gate, I noticed some people walking out of the city where they were walking. It's just that I still don't understand the path here and still end up asking one of the gatekeepers who was standing alone.
"Excuse me, sir." My broom.
"Well, can I help you, little girl?" Answer in a friendly tone.
The tone was very friendly and followed the rules of the knights in greeting someone. I look like a little girl, huh?! Instead of being happy, I instead showed an annoyed expression to the guard.
"Eh, is it possible that your pet cat is missing? You can ask for adventurers' help with..."
"Don't think of me as a child!" I annoyedly cut off the sentence of the gatekeeper. Then, pointing a finger at her and puffing her chest, I said, "don't call me a little girl. Because I'm an adventurer."
The gatekeeper looked confused. He seemed unsure that this girl like me was an adventurer. Though from my appearance alone is much different from ordinary residents, and it is also clear that both of my pistols are wrapped in the waist belt.
"Oh, okay. I'm sorry then. So where are you going?" Asked the guard still in a friendly tone, as if he still thought of me as a child.
If I ask about where to hunt monsters, it is likely that the guard will not answer me and instead tell me to go home. So inevitably I have to lie or hide my purpose in order to keep him answering.
"I want to go to the forest to look for herbs. But I don't know where the monsters are or not. Can you tell me where monsters appear so I can avoid them?"
"Oh, of course." The gatekeeper replied in a friendly tone. "At the first intersection on the main road, take the road to the right to go to the forest. But you don't go too deep because the monsters live deep in the woods."
Pretty easy to understand. It was not in vain that I asked this kind-hearted gatekeeper. Then my next choice was; turn right at the first corner, then go as far as possible into the forest to meet the monsters.
"alright. Thank you, gatekeeper. I'll be careful then." I walked away while waving my hand.
The guard replied with a return wave. How easy it is to deceive a knight in this world.
After walking for a while on the main road, I found a first intersection just like the gatekeeper said. If I go to the right, then I will go into the forest where the monsters are. Then if I go left, I can see the main road extending to the point of view of the eye. Maybe it's a road to another town.
After turning right and then walking again and again, I finally arrived at a forest with many shady trees. Bushes, wild animals, and fruit trees, I could feel a considerable diversity within this place. Don't forget the grass that looks realistic.
In this forest, I continue to raise my vigilance even though so far I still have not found any sign of a monster. I could see the wild rabbits jumping with their friends, and also the beehives with their numerous inhabitants.
"Hey you!" Call someone.
I faced the voice in front, then found a group of adventurers who seemed to have just come out of the forest deeper. Three guys, and they look more mature than me.
"What are you doing here alone? What level?" Ask the guy.
"Well?!" The three adventurers were surprised.
"Hey. This forest is too dangerous for you. Moreover, the direction that you will go through is towards the forbidden forest. There are a lot of dangerous monsters there." The adventurer warned me.
Forbidden forest? Big monsters? Looks like you guys have a big contribution telling me such an interesting location for free.
"If you're new. It's best to take requests in the guild only. There's a lot of easy requests." One of his friends added.
An easy request? That's not really me.
"Thank you for telling me. But I want to find out what monsters are challenging to deal with in there." I changed my direction towards the forbidden forest. "Bye-bye."
"Hey you..." The man called me back. But one of his group's friends restrained him while shaking his head.
"After we get to the guild, we can directly confirm his death."
Hmh! I can still hear that!
They may think I'm weak and think I'm going to die. Just look at it later. I'll go home with an item from a rare monster and show it to you.
I entered further into the forest leaving where I met them earlier. It turned out that there was a small intersection to various places in the forest.
The adventurer group seemed to be taking requests for herbs, hunting monsters, or just practicing together. They were seen complementing each other with a Swordsman, a Mage, as well as an Archer.
The path that the adventurers had just walked was the path to an ordinary forest where ordinary monsters were. While the road I was going through was getting darker, gloomy, and also creepy.
Forbidden Forest.
The trees here do not have a single leaf on their twigs. The thick fog that envelops makes this place feel dark even though it is still out there in broad daylight.
Eve in this place also began to feel colder. The cold air was really piercing, plus I was wearing this revealing outfit. I was thinking if this place has a special status that can affect someone who enters it.
Rprr!
Hm! I heard a voice around.
Rprr!
I looked around, but could not find any creature that had that voice.
I'm sure those monsters are already surrounding me right now. It's just that the fog around me still keeps them hidden from view. From now on I must be more vigilant, with both of my pistols ready in both hands.
Soon, they finally began to appear.
"Wolf, spider, about eight." I analyze the situation around me. This thick fog is quite disturbing, and I do not yet have a qualified skill for this kind of state.
"When was it, the last time I faced monsters like this?" I thought as I watched them leisurely.
A pack of wolves had surrounded me from all directions, and a group of spiders were taking their positions on a tree. My position is severely threatened, with the extremely high mobility of wolves and a considerable distance of spider attack.
What am I supposed to do? Defeat them all!
