Today after school, I immediately drove my motorcycle at high speed to the Halim Abhimanyu campus. The campus belongs to Halim Abhimanyu Cultural Foundation which was founded by my eyes and has now been running for three generations. And I, the sole heir to the throne of this Abhimanyu kingdom.
I waited at the campus gate. Hope to meet with Kuara. I don't know if I still have the luck I can bet on today. If it's still there, I'll risk it all to meet him.
I waited an hour. And boredom begins to sink in. I decided to look for Kuara in her faculty only.
Just about to leave, I saw a sedan passing me. And inside, there's Kuara and that guy. I don't know what his name is I don't know.
Kuara glanced at me expressionlessly. After that he just nodded. It hurts my heart to see it.
But I can understand his anger. It was my fault that lied. How dare a high school boy like me express love and lie to Kuara.
And during this one week, I routinely tried to meet with Kuara. And the result is nil. Although I tried to find him in the library, in class, even asked his friends, but I still could not meet with Kuara.
Actually it can't. But the voice always avoids me. He immediately disappeared when he saw me.
And today this week, I've made the determination to go straight to Kuara's house. I gathered all the courage I had.
“Where are you, Mas?” Tanya Maiga who was relaxing watching TV.
“Out.”
“Ikut.” Mai sounded enthusiastic.
I just looked at him coldly. And that was enough to make Mai shuffle back to the sofa.
“Why? How is the atmosphere like this?” Ask papa who just returned from the morning walk around the complex.
“Cannot follow Mas Awan.”
“Where are you?”
“Let's go out for a minute, Pa.”
“Tumbens. Usually Sunday just play games.”
“Mas want a date, yes?” Guess Maiga. And I glanced back at him.
“Let's just. It's time for your mas to find a replacement for Elya.” I was surprised my mom said that.
“Yeah. I love it with Elya.”
“You're the only one dating her.” I snorted in annoyance.
My mood is bad because it is ignored by Kuara. And Maiga should discuss Elya this early. I could barely hold myself back.
“If you want to go breakfast first.” Mama says.
“Let's go, Ma. Not able to.”
I immediately grabbed the helmet and left the house.
It's been almost an hour I've been standing across from Kuara's house. It turned out that my courage was not enough to knock on that gate.
From a distance, I could see a shadow of Kuara in her yard. And that's when my courage came forth.
“Excuse me!”
And a girl came to open the door.
“Ya?”
“Quarry, no?”
I saw the Kuara family assistant turn around and head to the side yard of the house. I can't wait. I followed the girl behind him. And sure enough, Kuara was there. He was playing with a cat.
“Tell him I'm not home.”
“I need to talk to you, Ra.” I immediately refuted.
The debate about my apology was fierce with him. I deliberately did not seek justification for my reasons. I just kept showing my sincerity apologizing for my lies.
I also kept trying to make her understand, that my feelings for her were sincere. Not just a monkey love High School boy.
Slowly, the estuary began to soften. Somehow our discussion came down to me and Ms. Heni when we were on campus at the time. Turns out he thought that Heni's mom was my girlfriend.
“Didn't you have a boyfriend? Why do you still dare to express feelings to me?”
The sentence was emphatic to show that he was jealous of Sister Heni. And his expression, managed to make me mengu lum smile on the lips.
“Hemh. That's not my lover. That's my cousin's brother. He was always spoiled with me. With the other brothers he was too. Her name is Ma'am Heni.”
I could see the water in Kuara's face turning blush. He must be ashamed to have mistaken with Heni's mother.
“So, are you jealous that you won't pick up my phone?”
“What am I jealous of? I don't have time for that.” Kuara did not dare to look at me as she said that. It makes me excited not a bitch.
“So you have forgiven me, right? I'm not gonna hide anything from you anymore. If you're willing to listen, I'll tell you everything about me. Everything, without exception.”
“Entahlah. I don't know, Cloud. Do I have the right to listen to all your stories.”
“Why not? You just have to listen.”
“Good. I'll listen to him if I have time. And I have to affirm one thing to you, cloud.”
Ah, I know what that means. I think he likes me too. But, he did not want to betray his own commitment.
Okay. No problem for me. The important thing is that I know that my feelings are reciprocated. I don't need a bond or anything. I knew enough that he had the same feelings as me.
“About your commitment? I-i know. I told you that you can do whatever you want. Either it rejects me or what. You can also not assume my words earlier. I don't mind. The important thing is that I'm relieved that I said it. I will not force you to give up your commitment. Because I know, I have no right to interfere with your future plans.”
I'm waiting for his reaction. I just kept quiet and looked at me inside.
“So, can you stop blocking my number? Because I still want to tell you about Ravana. This time, I will tell you all about Rahwananya Ara.”
“Who, Dek? Why not sign in?” A woman's voice surprised me. I immediately turned around and nodded politely. I'm guessing that must be Kuara's mother.
At first Kuara was about to refuse when I said I was willing to come in. And Kuara had no choice when her mother forced her to take me inside the house.
The family is very friendly. We spend a lot of time telling stories. There's nothing I've covered up from Kuara or her family.
I consider this a golden opportunity to explain who I am. So that there are no more misunderstandings in the future.
And bravely, I even expressed my feelings to Kuara in front of her father and mother.
Maybe it's a silly act. But I really don't want Kuara to misunderstand me anymore. So, at once I tell all to his father and mother.
With this, I tried to show my sincerity to Kuara. That he, there's no need to see me as a high school student. But as a man who truly loved him.
“Good. Then I go home first.” I said after my mission succeeded perfectly.
My mission succeeded. But I failed to take him for a walk. Kuara says she has a lot of college work waiting to be done.
But it's okay, the important thing is that he forgave me. It was more important than just taking her for a walk.
